Walked in and very nice older man helped me. I was very uneasy because it seemed unorganized and dirty but I wasn't wanting to judge a book by its cover. He explained it would be de-shedding, nail trim, ear clean and booty clean. Went back to pick up my pup when they called and I was completely grossed out, just looked like a gross sweatshop in the back, so much fur all over (from like all day). He had me pay THEN told me that they couldn't cut my dogs nails because he was trying to bite! I was dumbfounded, I have the least aggressive dog he loves everyone and everything, he doesn't even do that when I play with him! I said that was the main reason I came, so he said they'll try again... 1 minute later said "ok he's done they clipped them" First off... they DID NOT clip them! Secondly.... He was supposed to be de-shedded and wasn't BUT he was butchered around his entire hind area and mid stomach (he is a short haired dog that should have never had a razor on him) I will never return here and I would suggest nobody else does either! Not only is it dirty but they did a terrible job!! I couldn't imagine if I had a pup that needed a real haircut! My pup bolted to me crying he was terrified! I was confused on how easy this was . Her rear end is raw, they cut it so close Her cut is terrible, looks like a reverse Mohawk on the top of her head! And deep grooves all over. We have taken our large white Great Pyrenees dogs to Robert at Mutt Hut for maybe 20 years. We always enjoy seeing out dogs coming home all beautified, but yesterday we had our most consequential appointment in 20 years. Last year we had a bad summer with foxtails and hot spots including huge vet bills. Our Holly had started biting and scratching and we thought we were in for another bad summer of hot spots. We asked Robert if he would check her out in the grooming process. When I returned to pick up Holly, Robert said no foxtails and no hotspots, instead they found fleas, gave her a flea shampoo and treated her fleas with an anti-flea medication similar to Frontline. FIRST TIMER. TERRIBLE. NEVER COMING BACK!!!!!! I dropped Louie off at 11 am and he wasn't ready until 2:10 (Not a big deal). I was beyond upset when I picked him up. I asked how much? The man working told me $60, but didn't take my dog out before hand so I asked to see the Louie before I paid.... He pulled him out of the kennel and I was at a loss for words. the owner asked "does he look ok?" Knowing he looks terrible. It was so nice from the owner, they took my pet right in, this was my first time and it was a great experience, I'm so glad I found this place after my pet getting refused by petsmart and petco supposedly because they said that she would bite and move a lot, petsmart even told me that they shouldn't be taking her which made me a little upset and not only that they charge me for the service, petco charge me $65 just for the shower, brushed her hair and teeth which didn't make sense to me that they were able to do her teeth but not the haircut, but anyways I'm so thankful with Mr. Robert and his staff member God bless their heart, I was able to see my pet when they were cutting her hair, she was calm, she was letting them do their job. Their prices are comparable, but even on a super busy day (at opening, there were 6 of us dropping off our fur babies) he was done in 2 and a half hours. Normally my baby is so stressed out by the time I pick him up, but he was calm and happy, and his grooming was pretty much the best he's had. I took my 2 doodles in for a groom a few days ago and I am so happy I did! The owner got us in last minute. They did an outstanding job. They didn't shave them which most groomers will do because they don't want to brush them and put the work in. My doodles were so soft and clean and they were done with both of them in 3.5 hours. A record time compared to all the groomers we've been to in the area. I hated thinking they were in a crate all day at all the other places. They always look forward to going there - I tease them by saying "You want to go for a bath?" and they get ready to go right away by running in circles & yelping (that's never happened when I've taken them to any other groomers over the years), That tells me a lot! My First clue was how dirty and unmaintained the front was. I was Leary about leaving my dog there. But I don't like to judge a book by its cover. Sometimes you have to. In this case I was correct. My dog is not a hard cut. The work was just sloppy! All over her body and face, patches of hair longer than others. You can tell she's a Terrier/poo. Didn't even cut her face properly at all. I have never written a review on Yelp and opened this account to post this review today. If I could I would give a zero star. I would never come back here. I took our MaltiPoo to this place for the first time. He came back with red blood shot eye in the center of his left eye. His chin has a cut under it because they shaved so close. Because he has a round face with hair around it, I was not able to see the cut when I first picked him up. If there is damage to his eye sight, we will be pressing charges. Took my Goldendoodle here for grooming. They did not bring her out from the back when I arrived until I had paid (and stupidly tipped the groomer). When they brought her out, there were large dark streaks along her back where the fur was falling out, and the underfur was darkened. Took her immediately to the vet confirmed it was some type of chemical burn. You can see where something was poured down the middle of her back. The owner first tried to claim the marks, and missing fur, were there when I brought her in; but that was an flat out falsehood. Then he fell back on "I don't know what happened, we use only green products here." I will NEVER patronize this place again, and suggest, if you care about your pets, you consider another groomer. read more

This grooming salon gave us quiet possibly the worst experience my family has ever had. We should have taken the hint when the owner was unwelcoming and beyond unfriendly but we continued with the grooming and let our dog be taken back. When we picked her up, our poor Annie was unevenly shaven and being carried with an arm covering her butt. We knew they were hiding something so we checked her out and low and behold she had an aggravated bald spot. In the picture below you can see how they must've gone too hard and irradiated her rump by shaving too hard. When we pointed this out and asked for a discount as compunction, they declined and didn't give any explanation for her abrasion. I am SHOCKED that this is the first bad review because even at first glance all you can see is tiny cages on rows of shelves in the back to hold the dogs about to get the worst haircut of their lives. Good luck to any pup that gets sentenced to this groomer. read more

I've been bringing my dogs here for almost twenty years. They have groomed five different dogs for me. I am always very happy with the job they do. Also, they will take time to make sure your dog is comfortable. My latest dog is very shy with strangers. The groomer who would be working on him spent several minutes sitting with my dog, petting him and talking to him. My dog was comfortable enough to follow him to the back, and that groomer has worked on him several times since then. The prices are excellent. And Robert, the owner, is always friendly and helpful. We had our dogs groomed this morning. We've actually brought our dogs here several times and they have done a good job in the past. However, this time, although their coats are beautiful, they are having some terrible physical problems following grooming which they have not had before. Our one dog had hip trouble (dysplasia) when he was young. Though it resolved and he's been doing fine, we told them to be careful with his hips. We brought him home and he is limping. He screams in pain when getting up. He was even whimpering a little this afternoon just laying there. We've gotten him groomed regularly and he's never had that problem before. Our other dog started shaking his head with one ear tipped down this afternoon. I put ear drops in his ears which usually takes care of any problem. However, by tonight, (it's late evening now), he's shaking his head more and won't even let me touch his ear without yelping. He has never had such a bad problem with his ear. What on earth did they do to him that it got so bad within twelve hours?! I don't know what's happening there, but my husband said the staff looked a lot different than they used to. Needless to say, we will not be back. Again, they did do a good job on our dogs coats, but it's obviously not worth our poor pup dogs suffering and now a trip to the vet. read more

My wife took our dog in for a washing, clipping, and anal secreting. Her nails look the same and she does not smell like she has been washed. I tried calling to ask what was done and it took over 15 tries before I got through. When I did talk to someone, he sounded very defensive and a little dismissive. I was told that they use an odorless hypoallergenic shampoo and that my dog was actually washed twice. I am smelling my dog and her poor head reeks. I for will NOT be returning to conduct business here again. If not for the service, I am not at all happy with the attitude I felt when called and spoke to whomever I answered the phone. This used to be a great place but unfortunately it seems that the owner is taking a step back and the person he's put in charge to manage the front area is rude and customer service is not the same. My dogs came back from the groomers with knicks on their skin. There is dog hair everywhere as if they don't clean up between cutting one dog's hair before they go onto the next. I took my shih tzu puppy in twice. Both times I asked for her bangs not to be cut. This last time I said that I was willing to pay the extra dollar for a bow to tie her bangs up. I picked her up this time and it looked like she had been cut with a machete. They cut off her bangs to less than 1/4 inch, they cut her ears to look square and left her looking pitiful. It will take several months for her bangs to grow back. When I told them what they had done, not once but twice, the man that works the desk told the owner "Well I told her" pointing to the back. They did not offer money back, a free grooming next time or anything. His comment with the owner standing there not saying a word was, "sorry, have a nice day". I demanded my tip back and said obviously you don't care but you have lost a customer. He repeated again to have a nice day. UNBELIEVABLY RUDE AND INCOMPETENT read more
