Boarded our cat for a few nights while we went out of town. When I originally spoke with them over the phone they sounded extremely professional, said they offer photographs daily of our pet and that they would need to see vaccination paperwork at drop off. Called a second time to book a tour of where our cat would be staying - I was told by Ryan that having visitors come to the back would disrupt the dogs' experience.... Mkay. He said I could come in and see photos of the cat's lodge in the office and he has some on his phone. At drop off, there were many dogs in the office so be aware this is more of a business catered to dogs than cats. My cat was already stressed, not a shocker but still annoying. When it was my turn, they confirmed the dates she will be staying, literally took her to the back and didn't ask about vaccination or anything. It was very fast and felt off, but whatever. When I asked to see photos of where she would be staying they acted strange, as if my question was taboo. They didn't have any they could show me so I literally dropped my cat off and have no idea where she is going. Awesome. I left and in the car called to speak to someone who would send me photos - it was odd how they made it so difficult to send me 1 photo. They said they did take a photo but the cat was blurry so they will try again later.....Huh??? It's not hard to send a photo in 2026. Anyways, at pick up when they brought out my cat, they gave her back to me in the WRONG CARRIER. That was my sign that this business is shady and unorganized. The guy panicked when I told him the carrier wasn't mine and took them an additional 10 minutes to get the right one. And yes, I checked to see that they gave me the right cat. They also included a dirty old cat toy in the carrier covered in hair that was not ours. Gross. Very chaotic - never will be returning and would not recommend. read more

Was looking for a daycare/boarding facility for my 8-lb 18-year-old chihuahua. Spoke with Ryan, who acted very eager to accommodate me and my dog. Set up an appointment for a meet and greet. The day before the appointment, I get a message from Ryan, asking me to call him back regarding the appointment. When I called back, he was rambling something about discussing my dog with the veterinary tech who visits occasionally. Then he tells me he's going to call me right back in a few minutes. Waited 40 minutes and didn't get a callback so I called back again. He again tells me he's going to call me back; nothing. Same scenario one more time. Call back the morning of the appointment and ask to speak to Ryan. The girl who answered the phone said he's not available and asks if I want to leave a message. I told her he's been avoiding my calls for whatever reason so I'll just show up at the facility. Miraculously within two minutes, Ryan calls me back. He's stuttering and stumbling, saying something about my dog's age and about how amazing they are. WTF?? Amazing?? That's fucking hilarious. You can't even return a simple phone call. I asked him if there was a reason he's having a problem forming a complete thought or sentence. Then he starts stuttering and stumbling again, rambling about "it's a young man's game" or some stupid shit like that. I honestly have no clue what he was trying to convey, and I'm pretty sure he had no clue either. So I hung up. Very unprofessional. I recommend looking elsewhere. read more

No matter what breed of dog you bring in, they'll take your appointment the first few times and everything seems great. That's what happened with my dogs, and I even recommended them to a few friends. Later on, none of us could get a return call or response for new appointments. It feels like we were completely ghosted. I'm honestly confused how the business runs because they seem to stop taking loyal customers and prioritize new ones for a while, then disappear again. I am disappointed to be writing this because my first experience with this facility wasn't bad, which is why I continued bringing my dog back. Unfortunately, over a short amount of time I began noticing issues that became increasingly concerning. My dog was groomed, and his nails were cut so short that the quick was exposed on more than seven nails. On another occasion, he came home with noticeable swelling on his mouth that was not present when I dropped him off. Most recently, he returned with a scrape near his rear end and another on his foot. What alarmed me the most, however, was his overall physical condition. He appeared significantly thinner than when I left him, to the point where I could clearly see bones that have never been visible before. He was boarded at this facility for 7 days. As someone who sees and cares for him every day, this was extremely upsetting and immediately noticeable. On each occasion none of these issues were communicated to me at pick up. My concern is the pattern of issues I have experienced and the lack of communication afterward. I have made multiple attempts to contact the facility to discuss my concerns, but my calls have gone unanswered - seemingly so I no longer get the menu option to reach anyone, only a voicemail. Because I have been unable to get a response, I am sharing my experience here and attaching photos for reference. I truly wanted to continue trusting this facility because my first experience was positive. However, the condition my dog has returned in on multiple occasions has left me concerned about the level of care he is receiving. Nothing but amazing things to say about this place. We boarded the cat for a week, it was a lot closer than the other place we boarded and definitely cheaper. They are very easy to communicate with and accommodating. The cat came back happy and fresh faced. I could tell he was taken care of all week. I also love they're open 8-5 AND on weekends, and I can pick him up whenever I want to without worrying if I'll be charged an extra day. Once again, I am requesting the following documentation, which the law requires you to disclose: * The size of the enclosures used for large-breed dogs * The number of times per day dogs are removed from their enclosures, and the duration of each outing * The type and frequency of exercise, enrichment, or activity provided * Your regular feeding schedule and how water is provided throughout the day My request is reasonable, legally supported, and directly related to the well-being of my dogs. My pets have repeatedly come home behaving very differently than usual, which raises serious concerns about whether they are being confined for excessive periods. As a paying customer, I have the right to know how much actual exercise, playtime, and movement they receive, especially as Dobermans require significant physical activity to avoid stress and destructive behavior. I bring our two dogs here on a regular basis for socialization and grooming. I have a 25 pound 3 year old Cockapoo and a 25 pound 8 year old Chihuahua/[bichon mix. Our groomers are Traci and Pam and are fantastic with our dogs. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Ryan is a good liaison and is efficient at his work of integrating the dogs and the services provided such as boarding and grooming. What keeps me coming back is the community feel of Coventry. We started boarding our dogs 15+ years ago. It didn't matter what breed, each pup received an excellent report card across the board. We were happy customers. Then, starting 4 years ago, we received consistently a message from Ryan stating "We are booked. We are booked. We are booked". Hogwash! It didn't matter if it was 4 weeks to more like 4 months out, he'd say we are booked and we aren't talking about around any holidays. Something seems sketchy about their reservation policy and who they choose to book with? A couple of times, he stated they didn't have their bookings ready since it was a few months out, but, Ryan stated he'd called me back when bookings opened. This has happened several times. I was anxious about leaving our Border Collie for a week and a half while we would be away. The whole staff is wonderful. We've taken all our pets here. Currently take my dobermans and I love that they use a special shampoo for their sensitive skin without having to request it. Grooming is always very quickly and well done. I've only had one issue in the past w a groomer that wasn't professional but I never reported them. Just no longer use that groomer. That's not the company's fault their service is always excellent and I'm sure if I told them the issue they'd resolve it. I did have one issue recently where minutes after paying card my info was stolen and online purchases were made. There was no guarantee it was from Coventry or an employee that used my info. Totally agree with Kathy K.'s 01/13/26 review. I have been told many times to call 30 days from the days needed. I do so on the exact 30-day out mark and am told they are all booked up. I called recently for a stay 5+ months from now and am told they cannot book out that far due "staffing issues on those days". What does this mean - staffing issues 5 months from now? So NO pets are going to be booked for those specific days? I also feel, as does Kathy K., that reservations are for select customers only. I have tried at least 6 times to get reservations (over various days of the week) over the past couple years and am always told there is no availibility. I definitely feel they are not on a first come first serve basis at all. I hope they reconsider their reservation process because looking at a lot of their reviews, they are losing credibility - but I guess as long as their select favorite clients return, they don't care about anyone else's business. My dog has been coming here since he was a puppy (currently 14 years old). We moved away for a few years but have returned to the area and were super excited to come back to Coventry as they had always groomed him well (specifically Tracy)! I called and they said his groomer was available and that I would be called to schedule an apportionment as the coordinator was busy. When they called back they asked to confirm his age (he's 14 now but still active) and then let me know that they would call me back to schedule an appointment for an elderly pet. This was confusing as it was the coordinator who called me and why would she call to tell me she will call me back? I asked if this was a new process to receive multiple calls to book a grooming appointment and she shared it is the process because of my dogs age? I'm unsure how the two issues relate because if he needs more time for his appointment wouldn't you as the coordinator know that when you call me to book? All that to say is that after confirming his age, we never received a call back and I also followed up and kept being met with "it's a different process because he's older". I should have read the other reviews here that say they discriminate towards elderly dogs. read more

Tried booking a stay for my two dogs, one of which is Great Dane. I tried booking 3 months in advance for a summer stay and 2 and a half months in advance for a Christmas stay. I was denied both times stating they were full. Come to find out, they are not full because a friend of mine was able to make a reservation after my attempt for his two of his dogs during the summer without any issue. This kennel is just not large breed friendly so keep that in mind when trying to book with them. I had the privilege of having Megan as my dog trainer for a few weeks. I have had many dog trainers in the past but Megan out did herself. My dog Mamba was able to learn many commands such as; sit, stay, down, touch, down at a distance and a great recall. I can take my dog everywhere, whether the place is filled with people or even dogs. I can even take him off leash and I have not had any issues with his recall. My dog had the worse experience I dropped her off for a grooming. 3 hours later she was still there while I waited for her. When I finally picked her up she did not look like she got a haircut just a bath and cleaned up when I specifically said cut short because she was having surgery. I also told them she had allergies no perfumes or perfume shampoo. An hour after I brought her home she her eye was practically shut close she had a swollen eye that looked like she was punched . A few hours after that I tried picking her up to cuddle her and she screamed and cried I could not touch her ribs or neck. I was so livid what the Hek happened to my dog? I called the next morning not able to speak to the owner apparently I was told she does not wake up until 11:00 and won't be in til 2:00 I eventually received a call from the owner. She kept saying it said on the card that my dog had allergies they were aware of it. She swore up and down my dog didn't fall off the table or nothing bad happened to her. I told her well let me send you a picture of her eyes so you could see what I'm talking about. She then gave me a fake phone number so when I send the pictures with the text, I gotta reply with you have the wrong number and I'm so sorry for your dog. I hope she is ok. Ultimately I was offered a refund, but the worst experience of my little dogs life, she is only two and has had a pretty rough life. I rescued her. She was very sick when I received her and her little life had a very bad story. I feel like I failed her. I will never take her back to that place again. read more
