I easily booked an appointment online with a Emalie, and their location was so easy to find on the main strip in Dormont. There's also a public parking lot nearby (make sure you pay-- there was a meter guy out checking plates!) The atmosphere is cool and relaxing, and Emalie greeted me by name as soon as I walked in. I immediately got to sit in a chair and get started on my manicure. They had COVID precautions implemented and there was only a total of 4 of us in the salon at once. The hour it took to get my nails done flew by-- I felt like I was sitting and chatting with a few girlfriends. Emalie was a perfectionist at what she did and she truly did a spectacular job! The salon was clean and didn't have a strong nail smell. I'm also not aware of any other salon that offers extra strength gel. Apparently this is supposed to last 3 weeks. Normal gel at other salons usually last 10 days for me. They really take the nail experience to the next level here. I will 110% be back!

You really can't go wrong with their team. Gloss carries Pulp Riot products, which I'm obsessed with, that can be a little harder to find in local salons. I also find their business software to be helpful. I love text confirmations and during the pandemic the ability to text "I'm here" from your car to know when your stylist is ready to take you was very helpful. If you're looking to make a change in salons or are new to the area, The Gloss Society is definitely worth a look.

When I walked in, I was greeted and all the staff was extremely friendly. They all also looked very busy. Without stressing out, I picked my color and waited patiently. 40 min AFTER my scheduled appt time, they finally started on my nails. This put a huge stress on my schedule so I let them know that I was in a hurry and needed to be on my way as soon as possible. They kept apologizing and even asked me to "give them another chance", which I planned to do because they were very nice and had a great color selection. I also understand things get busy, but appointments should always take priority. The kind woman finished my nails in a timely manner, she also made changes to the shape for me, they looked very nice. My only complaint is that the cuticles are not as clean as I like them, they're uneven and have a small edge that is lifted. When I stood up to pay, the man who seemed to be in charge handed me a gift certificate and asked me to please come back. Again, he apologized for their delay. The certificate was unnecessary, but very much appreciated! Good customer service always outweighs minor mishaps. He handled this very well and gained a new customer. I will definitely be back.
