I've been to this salon twice, and both experiences were incredible! The services I got included a gel dip nail fill with tips, and when they were finished, my nails looked great. I haven't had any issues with lifting or peeling of any kind, just great work that will last. The customer service here is very welcoming and friendly. Everyone is so kind as soon as you walk in. Prices are extremely fair and sometimes seem low compared to salons near by. There may be a tiny language barriers that comes up from time to time, but this has not had any bearing on the service, as they go out of their way to ensure they are communicating clearly and that you are satisfied with the final outcome. Bad costumer service as I'm a hairstylist that does hair with just me and my client in the salon at a time and have never felt "uncomfortable". Guy at the front is extremely rude. Got a gel pedicure that was listed as $45 on the menu. I tipped $10, but when I checked my card, I was charged $75. Maybe gel is an extra $20 at this location -- I guess I should've asked first -- but usually salons tell you beforehand, and it's normally only about $10-$15 extra at most. read more

When I came in, I requested for a gel manicure and the greeter was very nice and led me to the gel color section. Shortly after, the nail tech came up to me and showed me where his booth was. I sat down and showed him the nail design/art I was wanting and without saying anything he just began with the manicure. Everything was going fine, up until he started painting my nails. In the inspiration photo, the stars are painted but he used foil nail stickers instead. I tried showing him the inspo photo again, but he proceeded with what he was doing. The stickers were not properly laid flat, but instead he kept coating them with clear coat in hopes that it will weigh them down. Unfortunately, after using the LED lamp they dried lifted off my nails and have globs of clear coat surrounding them. Not to mention, it looks nothing like the inspo photo. His attitude/vibe the entire time seemed very annoyed and rushed. I looked at the other nail techs and they were taking their time with their customers. I don't know if he was having a bad day, but that was very unprofessional and inexcusable service. If he was unable to do the design AND communicated that, I would've been fine choosing a different design. read more

Went here a few weeks ago and it wasn't busy at all. Super quiet place. Kim did my nails and they came out great. Went back the next day for a pedicure and was good. Then I went back last weekend and had a completely different experience. My husband and I wanted to get pedicures together and I needed to get my nails done. Once we got inside the guy told me to sit at the seat on the end and my husband can go sit and get his pedicure separately. Fine. But only problem was I sat in the chair for at least half his pedicure before a lady came over to wrap my nails. The station still has the prior persons mail clippings everywhere. The woman that wrapped my nails did not talk to me and was aggravated I didn't have a color picked out when I was given maybe 2 mins to look. Once she wrapped my nails she took me to the pedicure area where the woman that did my husbands finished up and started mine. I understand pricing is higher now but it was not worth the $45 we paid. Then back to the dirty nail station. I asked the gal if she could change the towel since it was dirty. She just turned the over. Well amazingly enough she did a great job on my nails and I'm happy with them. She was nicer than the first girl. But there were several techs there so for her to do both our pedis and my nails seemed to be a lot for her. But then again, the bigger tip goes to her. Anthony always does me so good and he has an amazing sense of humor! We are always laughing it up. I always trust him through every process because actually takes his time to make it perfect. He's a busy man working Monday through Sunday, if you want to insure that you get him just call and place an appointment with him. I want to be a fan but I'm just not. I've tried coming here many times for various services. I don't like being pushed to pay in cash. The last person who did a pedicure for me couldn't even cover my toenails in polish (later that day I looked closer and there were literal spots and edges that had been missed). The service was absolutely amazing and so was the ambiance. My first time going to this nail salon and I was very happy while at the salon. My rating is because after 4 hours my nails were still not dry and super tacky and I had to remove the polish. Not only that but removing the nail polish turned into a chore for it to be "normal" nail polish, I.e not gel. My spidey senses tell me it was gel because I had to soak my nails in acetone to remove the polish. I sent pictures of what that looked like to a nail tech friend of mine and she said it looked like gel polish that wasn't cured all the way. So $30 spent and now I'll polish them myself. I don't think I can come back here even though they were really nice. And yes they did offer to polish them again but with work and life, before the holiday, it's difficult to find time to go back for polish. read more

To my Neighbors and My Community.....just FYI....I just had a pedicure with Bao at the Nail shop. Extremely Unprofessional work. Polish left on skin, left side toe nails left longer than right side. Nails are trimmed on an angle, nothing uniform about this work. I would never, ever, ever return to this place. I explained this situation to the owner and his response was you will have to pay for a second pedicure. They simply do not stand behind their work. Best nail salon in the area. I have been coming here for over four years now and I will never go anywhere else. I am EXTREMELY picky with my nails and Anthony has never let me down. They can do any shape, style, color, technique. I personally love mine long, which I can imagine is more difficult to do. They are always sleek and perfectly filed. I came for manicure and eyebrow wax this morning. I just left a good tip and am not going back. My eyebrow wax was 2 minutes ( while she put warm towels on a pedicure customer). . I still have eyebrows where I shouldn't..... no attention to detail. I slashed for manicure menu, he didn't show me. Would have chosen a better one had I seen the menu. This place is amazing, I enjoy the music they play and the general ambiance. The owner is very friendly-jokes around with a lot of the customers, which I love. Every time I've walked in, they will take me back almost immediately. I haven't had to wait long on any occasion. Vivienne is the one who did this set on me for Halloween and she spent a good amount of time perfecting them and making them look how I wanted them to. I recently moved to Peoria and am still looking for my new nail home. My husband was getting his haircut next door, so I came in to see if I could get a manicure. It was clear there was a wait- there was a large party of some sort in the back, so all the techs were busy. I didn't want to make my husband wait forever on me, but the owner insisted it would only be a few minutes. I should have left like I wanted to, but I sat down and waited for at least 20 or 30 minutes before my polish was even soaked off. I saw the same tactic was done on at least three customers after me. At least three people worked on my nails. I had SNS and the color on the sample was nothing like what I ended up with. I tried to tell them, but they didn't really respond or care. I was reasonably satisfied with the end result despite the color. Fast forward to today. I am going on a trip, so I went in for a pedicure. I decided to also get the SNS color changed to match since I wasn't happy with the color. My pedicure was ok, but again I was told to go back and just sat there for 20 minutes in cold water. There were no toe separators used, so on the walk to the manicure chair at least four toes had major paint issues. Then the white SNS somehow had gotten another color mixed in it. I saw the tech try to get it out, but he applied it to my nails anyway. My nails didn't turn out pure white- they have a pink cast. Not what I wanted AT ALL. Also, I didn't get a full manicure (just the color change), but was charged the same amount as if I had. I might go back tomorrow to see if they will make this right, but I will probably be looking elsewhere for a new place to go regularly. read more

Poor service, rushed, and rude technician. I called around 5pm asking if I could come in to get my nails done in 10 mins. I explained it's one gel nail manicure. They said yes. I showed up around 5:08 and waited about 20 minutes, not a huge deal. But, I get in the chair and the technician is rushing everywhere and as she starts my nails, she is distracted, answering texts on her phone, missed painting one of my nails with a second coat, and doing a very sloppy job. I didn't realize until I left and looked closer, she missed part of my nail, painted my skin, and did not correctly shape one of the nails. I was very cordial and said thank you. As I was saying thanks she mentions, "oh ya, you came in very late, I should get overtime". I was super confused and didn't have time to process until after. This place is terrible!! A pedicure includes the whole foot, but not here!!!! 10 dollars extra for your heels, 20 dollars extra for gel!!!! My pedicure would've been $65 for someone who can't speak English and would rather rub my legs than remove the dry skin from my feet, someone who obviously didn't pay attention in beauty school as to what a pedicure is!!! I'm totally calling the Board on this place. They really have it on the menu $25 for a regular pedicure, as soon as you sit in the chair, feet wet, they start up charging you! Gotta love when inexperienced nail staff try to explain that they must use a cheese grater and chemicals to remove dry skin and for an extra charge, first aren't the blades illegal?? Second I'm a licensed cosmetologist, in two states. I would've never let a client walk out unfinished, I pretty much got a polish change for $30 and an unwanted massage which could be extra, NOT leaving the heels for me to do at home!! Love this place. There are nail shops closer to me; but I gladly go out of my way to come here. It's pretty calm. They're really nice. There's not a whole lot of chatter. And they always do a great job. For the big girls: You will not have to hold your leg up while they do there thing. Have been coming here for about a year, and have always had a great experience. About a month ago, my regular technician quit and I had a male tech do my pedi. It was a horrible experience, he cut me, couldn't stop the bleeding and was laughing. I was appalled and the manager comped my service and gave me a gift card for a free pedi. So here I am, using my free pedi and I'm happy again :) I asked for a female tech....just seems like the male techs don't do it for me. The techs use gloves and sterilized tools. I feel safe and confident. They are all very sweet and nice to be around. The chairs are comfy and have a massage option (which my husband likes when he is getting his pedi) and they always have a movie running to pass the time away. I'm usually on my iPhone or kindle to pass my time away. I usually do a #2 pedi, includes all the toe and callus goodies but the added bonus is a leg massage and hot rocks. Mani's are great here too....I do the basic ones, but they do lots of fancy designs and nail and hand waxes. Nail places are a dime a dozen, so if this salon keeps doing a good job I'll keep coming back. read more

I am a licensed nail tech, and every so often I enjoy getting my nails done along side with my daughter, unfortunately I can only do one hand as I am right handed so I enjoy getting my nails done with my daughter, I decided to get a full set and my daughter was getting a fill, I Always do her nails all the time, But I decided to have a mother daughter bonding moment. So anyway I decided to get a full set and three days after my nails completely lifted and so did my daughters, what a horrible experience, the place was extremely filthy, they did not keep conversation.
