Anne has done my nails several times, and she always makes my nails look exactly like I wanted. I like getting French manicures, but instead of the traditional white tips, I like to get colors like red and yellow for a Chiefs game or something like that. She works quickly but does a fantastic job. Very clear about the price, and isn't pushy, trying talk you into services you don't want. It's a little loud and chaotic sometimes, but not to the point where it's intolerable. Haven't been in for a while, so I need to go back soon! read more

Went in with normal feet and left with my whole foot tore up everywhere from the greater she used and when she see what she was doing she didn't even acknowledge it, apologize or anything instead she asked for her tip at the end. If you want any type of design, do not go here! Don did my toes. Do NOT allow Don to do ANY polishing. He really should not be allowed to do services. Once he saw the nail design I wanted I was passed on to someone else. I spent 108$ on nails and toes and had to paint my own toes when I got home. My nails were better however acrylic too close to the cuticles on some nails. It's exactly 1 week later and the gel polish is chipping. I have never seen this before. read more

The technician ripped off my old set. I asked for a pastel rainbow accent nail and she said she probably couldn't draw that. She brought out dark rainbow colors so I asked if I could choose different colors and she said no because two colors were already on. I said I would pay extra to get the color I liked and she said no. Then she acted pissy when I said I would rather just remove the rainbow and have no accent nail. read more

My expectations were low walking into this nail place. One of the reasons being location- in Oak Park Mall, beside JCPenney. Two- the high turn over rate of places like this, not ownership but customers. We had made an appointment ( recommended , by no means enforced) , and were promptly sat in three side by side pedi stations. The chairs had been reserved for our arrival. The employees all wore smiles , and said yes to our every request. I am the needy sort when it comes to my high shine buffs. My pedi guy didn't flinch when I asked for a rebuff due to some missed spots. Second time was the charm in this case. My tootsies were smooth , with the perfect amount of sheen in place! I will definitely be back. I got the basic pedicure- side note , they were on a waiting list , and sort of forgot the fact that we had booked deluxe pedis instead of basic. The basic was so great, I didn't care! *tip: the wait space is super teeny tiny. No exaggeration! Great thing is , they will call you when your space opens up. Shop while you wait. read more

I had gel put on my nails and the gel isn't consistent darker in place, lighter in places and they have like ripples

Okay so. First of all, we came in at 10:00 without an appointment and we were only willing to wait like 30 minutes and they said there wasn't a wait. Great!! We love that . Then, my friend was sat down and someone started to work on her nails. But I was sat next to her. I assumed either the lady would do both of us or someone would come and do mine. I waited about 45 minutes just sitting there. That's fine. Then someone finally came over and helped me. I got acrylic and my nails were less than mediocre. They were bumpy and uneven and the tips of the nails were already coming up when I left. The colors were different on each nail because the polish was sheer and he layered them in different thicknesses. Now to my friend's dip nails. They were actually pretty decent. Until they chipped not even 2 days later. I thought it was hilarious when she told me but then I looked down at mine and saw that mine was also chipped and then later that day MY WHOLE NAIL FELL OFF??? Okay not my natural nail, but the entire acrylic part that I paid for. not fun. I don't know if this is just bad application or just bad quality products but I will not be coming back. New paragraph. Let's start another one!!! WOOHOOOOOOO. Okay so I was pretty upset with my nail just popping off like that so I called in and asked if I could come back to get it fixed. I was willing to pay too. They said no wait right now and I asked if it was okay if I came in right now since I was literally already on the escalator so I decided to go right now. They said yes. I walked in and it was PACKED. I told them I just called in and they told me it was an hour and a half wait and they didn't think I was actually coming in now. The photos below are so bad but you can see the middle finger on my friend's that chipped and mine that chipped. Hers chipped worse later but I also don't have the photo. I usually love coming here but lately have felt super rushed and not gotten the best job done. I always think, maybe it is an off day, and continue to come back because I used to love it but the quality has really gone down significantly. My daughter & I went to The Nailery upper level at Oak Park Mall. it was the worst mani pedi I've ever had! The nail tech who did my feet did ok. The tech who did my manicure was rude & did not do a good job. The nail tech who did my daughters pedicure was so rough she yelled out. She was jabbing the tool into her toe! I told the tech doing my manicure I didn't want gel. She pressured me to get gel I told her no a couple of times. She then proceeded to get out the gel machine again I said I wanted a regular manicure. My manicure was just mediocre at best! she charged me $88 & I asked several time why the price was so high & she stated that's the right price. I tipped her $10 & she asked is that all three techs worked on both of you. I reluctantly gave her $15 but will never go back! it was a very bad experience. read more

When I first walked in I was greeting by a very friendly woman, who was able to get me in right away. As I walked back to an available nail tech i noticed that not only was every employee on the phone, one was even sitting in a pedicure chair with her shoes off. The whole experience really stressed me out. My tech didn't ask if i wanted gel or regular, i usually like regular but she just threw the gel ring at me (which had 3 sheets of color, pretty small selection) and as i was looking she tried to pressure me into dip. After a few minutes of contemplation i decided to just get gel as to not be a bother. I asked for short and square nails and some turned out round, none had strait edges and they're all lumpy. on top of that when i got out into the sun i noticed that there was a thin layer of acrylic all over the skin around my cuticles. In addition to all this here are a few other things: my nail tech was very soft spoken and when i couldn't hear her she got pretty snappy with me, your nail tech checks you out and when it got to the part with the tip I put in what i found appropriate and she huffed and kind of got an attitude, I was in such a daze walking out that i totally forgot my bags from shopping in the chair next to me and when i went back for them she snapped "what" at me as i came through the door. The guy who did my nails was rough and didn't seem to care. Not only dud I leave upset and miserable, but the paint on 2 of my nails is chipping!! I think he enjoyed ruining my day. I've been consistently coming here to get my nail extensions filled and re-painting for the last few months. The quality has been average, and I casually brushed a lot of mistakes under the rug every visit. This most recent time has left me entirely disappointed. The tech was incredibly rushed and seemed more interested in getting to his next client than working on my nails. My set is completely ruined!! I ask for the nails to be trimmed to just above where the natural nail had been growing for the last 8 weeks; he cut all the way down to the finger tip instead. I asked for square tip, not a single nail has a straight edge and the polish is piled on top so incredibly thick, I have bubble pockets! He disappeared before the nails were even done drying and I was rushed out of the shop by someone else; probably annoyed that they had to attend to me at checkout, not being their customer. Went in giving myself the gift of relaxation and left more tense than when I went in. (For a couple reasons) Got there and they asked what I wanted and told them I wanted a pedi, (they have them for $21 which I thought was really good). I signed in and waited till someone was able to help only waited about 10-15 (it was kind of busy). It was my first time I've had a Pedi there, or in the last 10 years, they never helped me on what to do. They just pointed at the chair, and the chairs arm was very loose and I felt like I couldn't lean on it or I would break it off. During the Pedi, they assumed I knew when to put my feet in the water and pull them out, and she look irritated, when I wasn't sure. As I was getting my feet done, I was watching the other people, I noticed if you weren't a regular it seemed like they weren't as nice to you. I'm very ticklish and so it took everything I had not to kick the lady and she seemed to be getting annoyed when I would flinch. (The last time I had this done, they were very understanding that I was ticklish and made me feel a little more comfortable) So will probably find another place if I ever get the guts to have another one. read more

This was quite possibly the worst experience I've had at a nail salon. The place is the place too small for the amount of chairs available and it felt claustrophobic. The woman who did my nails was nice enough but she managed to make two nails bleed and two more almost bleed. I've never had that happen anywhere else. She poured some sort of (I'm assuming) anti bacterial on them. Didn't explain what it was or ask or anything, just poured it on. It made it feel 100x worse and stained the nails. I usually go to Tina but I do not think she works there anymore. Tonight, I got a gel manicure and had Phoenix. She was very rude, and upset about something on the sign in sheet. She was trying to explain that I did something wrong (something having to do with a phone number? Even though we were back in the time they quoted us for the wait? I did not know what she was saying). Confused, I said "What? I don't understand." very politely and she huffed and rolled her eyes. She got up and got a bowl of water and put it down on top of my wrist, forcing me to move out of the way, instead of putting it on an empty spot on her wide table. Speaking of that, her table was filthy. It had purple nail trimmings of the previous client on there, and they were sticking to my hands as I was getting my nails done. That's just gross. The only nice nail techs at that salon are Tina, Shirley, and Queenie. Everyone else is so incredibly rude. Gave 3 stars because Phoenix did the nails quickly and put three coats of color on for more intensity, which techs normally just do two coats. Glad to get out of there so quickly. read more

Terrible service.. was treated very rudely and handled very roughly when having my nails removed. At the Top floor nailery, a tiny Asian man was extremely unatentive and hurt me in the process when removing my nails. He made a small small puncture underneath my nail with the nail clippers which was followed by my thumb bleeding and a "it's okay, you okay." Left immediately, no longer wanted service. I have lived and worked in the area, so went out of convenienc. It was never spectacular but not horrible. Over the last year the service has steadily been worse each trip. I always seem to break a nail and have more nails that the edges are coming up. They continue to give reasons why it's my fault, I should more than once every 2 to 3 weeks. Also now I seem to leave with multiple places where they have cut me and my nails hurt almost like teeth do after seeing the dentist. Would not recommend even to an enemy. read more

Got gel polish here and a pedicure. Both were terrible and I was there for two and a half hours plus. The gel wasn't set when I left and I live thirty minutes away and was on a time crunch. I had to get it fixed at Regal Nails in raymore (they were great and didn't even charge me to fix it), causing my 'relaxing' mani/pedi to be a 3 1/2 hour ordeal. This place deserves no stars. Their facilities are old and falling apart. Customers had no clue where they were supposed to be going or doing. This place is a mess. Also my manicure is now peeling after about 36 hours. This has never happened. I wish I would have looked at the reviews before I went in :( read more
