I checked out Beloved Nails and Spa based on a referral. I walked in and told the front desk who I was there for and my appointment time. My appointment was at 12, and I arrived early enough to pick out a gel color before then. Someone came to get me and showed me which chair to sit in, mentioning that Sydney would be right over to start my services. I sat in the chair, unsure whether I should put my feet in the water, so I didn't. Around 12:09, I went to the front desk and asked why I was still waiting past my appointment time. Nobody's time should be wasted or taken advantage of. As a first-time customer, I won't be returning mainly because the front desk lady couldn't explain why no one had come to update me that Sydney was running behind with another client. I didn't expect Sydney to come tell me herself, because she was already running behind. Sydney has the best personality, and she was very gentle during my pedi. Thank you again, Sydney! Also, walking into such a posh-looking spa shouldn't make you cringe when you sit down on their dirty couch. When I indulge in luxury, I want to feel valued, not like just a number to be placed into a pedi seat and left waiting without anyone being courteous enough to give me an update. read more

I've visited Beloved Nails and Spa twice, and both times were great. They couldn't take walk-ins my first visit but fit me in that weekend. The staff were kind and I loved the relaxing space with its pretty pink couches and marble décor. George gave me the best pedicure I've had in years, truly amazing! I highly recommend him. The chairs have great massage settings (though the higher ones can feel a little intense, so be careful lol). I also loved that they have nail color samples on sticks instead of only in books. It makes it so much easier to see how a color will actually look. My nails turned out gorgeous thanks to George and Teresa. My only real frustration is the booking process. You can only make appointments over the phone, and while I was able to schedule once via messaging, my later messages there were never responded to. It's a small thing, but it does make it less accessible or convenient to book for people with accessibility limitations, and that's the only thing that has stopped me from returning. Still, the staff I interacted with were friendly and skilled, and the results were beautiful. I would be back if there were more flexible ways to book for people with limitations. read more

After being a loyal bi-weekly customer for over three years, I am incredibly disappointed by the recent treatment my family and I received. Following a visit for my daughters' manicures, the quality of work was unacceptable: one daughter's gel polish peeled off entirely within hours, and the other's acrylics were structurally and aesthetically poor. Uneven acrylic layering, poorly done French tips, uneven filing of the shape and a tone of build-up under the nail. 2-3 nails on each hand also looked like it had about 2 weeks of growth already do to the acrylic not being pushed back far enough. There was pooling around some of the cuticles as well. While the owner (not Kirt, I believe his wife) initially acknowledged the sub-par work and scheduled a time for a correction, management/owner (Kirt) abruptly canceled our appointment the following morning and informed us we were no longer welcome at the salon. To ban a long-term, high-frequency client simply for requesting a correction on poorly executed work is an unprofessional business practice. Furthermore, the internal culture here is concerning. During my time as a client, I frequently overheard staff speaking disparagingly about other employees and customers. We have since moved our business to AURA Nails in Lenexa, where the technicians were shocked by the state of the previous work (they didn't believe we had them done at a "professional" salon. They thought we'd tried to do it our ourselves). We found a more professional environment and superior craftsmanship at a much more competitive price point. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere if you value consistent quality and customer loyalty. If I had thrown a fit, been rude, been a disturbance, acted a fool, I would have understood. I have been nothing but understanding, kind, and loyal to this business. Then for them to just drop me because their technician did an atrocious job on my daughter's nails is crazy to me. Just goes to show they don't care about their clients or the quality work they do. They just want their chairs filled and your money. Don't waste your time or money. read more

I was so upset and called Beloved last minute to see if they could fix them. The man who did my nails was so kind and patient. He worked with incredible attention to detail and really made sure I was comfortable and the nail details were exactly how I wanted them. It was extremely clean and I could tell great care was taken to sanitize the equipment. the reason i gave one star is because the girl who did my nails was super nice and I THOUGHT she did a great job. the nails were super pretty but very expensive for a fill(72$). after a day of getting them one already started to fall off. as the week went on they all fell off. I am very sad because i paid so much for them and they fell off in a week and i wasnt harsh at all on them.
