Delicious empanadas at this food truck. Tried the fuzzy (beef), bourbon chicken, TLC (chicken) and the sweet (strawberries and Nutella). Good stuff! The flaky dough is stuffed with a generous portion of the fillings... No skimpy servings here. Fillings are flavorfully spiced and served piping hot. Each one is deep fried to a crisp golden brown. Nice and crunchy, not greasy. It's not inexpensive, but a great meal. Definitely worth a try.

If you're out and about and you see Fuzzy's Empanadas, go ahead and get that fuzzy warm feeling, because you're going to like this! We got lucky on this Sunday to find the truck at Greenway. Husband & I shared the Fuzzy (beef), and the TLC (chicken), along with chips, queso & salsa. All excellent! This small feast was about $15 and worth every penny for the quality and expertise. Favorite for both of us was the TLC which is a chicken one that is so full of flavor...citrus, tequila...I'm talking TASTY. Queso and Salsa were both excellent as well. Extra credit for the 99 sanitation rating and for bringing our order into Greenway when it was ready, so we didn't have to wait for it in the rain.

Food Truck Tuesday! I tried the Fuzzy, the Shroom, and chips and salsa. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty these empanadas were. They only have empanadas and chips on the menu, no other food. But they have a variety of empanada options to pick from, including vegetarian options. They were nice & hot as well which makes sense since the wait time was pretty long to get the food after ordering.

Well, this empanada is DELICIOUS. The triple P is filled with everything delicious: chorizo, ham, and sausage, as well as two cheeses, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and cilantro! The service was fast and friendly, and the location was right outside my office, so no complaints there. :) The price point is kind of high at $5 an empanada, but buying three brings them down to $4.33 a piece. Pretty standard for food truck pricing I suppose. For the flavor bomb and fried crispiness they provide, I'd pay it again. Can't wait to try the dessert empanada next time, and chips and queso! (They were out today)

This is one of my favorite food trucks!! The owners Roy and Kym are great! They always hit up the bottle shops I like. I haven't gone wrong with any of the items I have ordered. The Triple P is my favorite, followed by the Bacon & Cheddar, and TLC. Great people, Great food, Great price!!

I believe I've had this truck twice with the most recent time being a few days ago. I've tried the chicken one and the bacon one and they were both pretty good. The chicken one is definitely my favorite. It's so flavorful and I love the crispy crust on all the empanadas. I love how they have at least five different flavors you can choose from. From beef, chicken, and bacon to even a vegetarian one. They all sound like good combination and I hope to try more in the future. The food comes out really fast when you order and it's always hot and fresh. I definitely want to see what else this truck has to offer!

This truck has been to my office three times and I have to get it every time! It is SO good. I usually get the TLC (chicken) and the cheese ones. Both are delicious. Today I got the chips and queso, the queso was piping hot, had a great texture and was delicious. This is definitely my favorite food truck I have tried in Raleigh so far.

Had a Fuzzy Empanada. Looked great but the taste was not there. Meat was greasy and very heavy. Value wise I felt they were over priced.

Very flavorful. The chicken was decent. I wasn't a huge fan of the others, not to say it isn't good just not my vibe. The knish is an acquired taste. Everything was fresh and hot. I do feel the minimum is provided here. There are absolutely no dipping sauces complimentary even after spending almost $20 on three items. I found this to be off. I ended up purchasing the chimichurri sauce, which is delicious but not really worth it and wasn't needed. I guess a dipping sauce isn't really needed.

I appreciate there is a variety of vegetarian options as my partner does not eat meat and has some great go-tos. I ordered the lemon marinated beef (very lemony and delicious), the knish also very good and the beef (my favorite because very well seasoned). There is a small sitting area but mostly we take them to go. My only gripe is that if you get a few you don't always know which is which and when one person doesn't eat meat it's pretty important to differentiate and the workers are not much help with that either on the occasions I have been. I've created a cheat sheet for myself but don't have all of them on there.

In all seriousness, I'm all for this concept. Yelp is all about discovering local treasures, and nothing says small business like a cutesy origin story behind the name. The concept behind KocinA is South American street food. Expect to find arepas, burrito bowls, empanadas, and things of that sort on the menu. Entrees are all $10+, which is common enough for food trucks. I ordered the ropa vieja plate for $12, essentially a twice-as-expensive barbacoa burrito bowl from Chipotle. I expect a combination of exciting flavors and quality from food trucks. This expectation should frankly be lowered by this point, but I continue to dream on. The ropa vieja plate was mostly fine. There wasn't anything particular to like or dislike about the food itself; however, look at the picture that I posted and notice the obvious flaw in the way they serve it. In what universe would you put paper in a container when you're serving a burrito bowl? I'm sure I do need more fiber in my diet, but I have a fairly strict policy against eating paper. The paper would quite obviously get soaked immediately due to a combination of the juices from the black beans and the meat. This should make it an obvious no-go... shouldn't it? Even with the health concerns, I'd still pick the barbacoa bowl from Chipotle over the ropa vieja plate at KocinA. Aside from the extra fiber of the dish, the flavors didn't quite match the price. I'm sure there's other menu items that aren't served with such wretched stupidity at KocinA, but I don't see any reason to try them. I'll prefer to let other food trucks disappoint me, since there's a marginally better chance that they won't.

Problem was, only one person was running the truck, meaning that the food would take forever to be ready. Also, since it was the end of the day (about 6-7pm), he had already run out of certain items, namely steak, which I was most looking forward to. The Spinach Empanada (wheat flour crust turn-overs with chimichurri mayo, pico de gallo, and cheese, 2 for $6) are very popular and taste great. They're nice and puffy - you get a lot of the stuffing with each bite! The Tortilla Espanola (Spanish egg omelet with fried potatoes and red peppers, 2 pieces for $5) are light and crispy. The Chino Latino Lomo Saltado (Peruvian stir-fry of chicken with onions, tomatoes, peppers, and French fries, served on white rice and topped with Asian slaw, $7) is very difficult to eat without a fork as a result of all the stuffing! It's a sandwich with a strange variety of ingredients thrown together. There are many Asian fusion places in the Triangle, but I still think that many of the menu combinations I've seen are odd, including this lomo saltado with "Asian slaw (which turned out to be kimchi)." I didn't hate it, but I'm not a fan either. Some things should not be mixed.....
