We used Nanny Connection on our 2010 trip when I threw my back out and finally realized we needed help with our 9 month old twins. I was very hesitant to get any help from someone we didn't know, but knew they had been recommended by the Kapalua resort. They sent Allison within an hour to help me on an emergency call. She was wonderful and my kids loved her. She also was so knowledgeable about the island and recommended her chiropractor who helped me tremendously!!! Then my husband broke his collerbone a couple days later and Allison agreed to watch our girls much longer when I had to take my husband in to get x-rays. The next four days we had to have 12 hour a day nanny care and had other nannys who were also great. We are going back this Spring and already booking Allison to take care of our now 2 year old twins. Hoping for an injury free vacation with her help!!! read more

LANAI, HI I don't even know where to begin. We have a 2 year old son who is active, energetic, happy and wonderful. I often wonder about the energy of anyone who watches him because when he's up he's ready for action. It was our first family vacation and I wanted time with my husband as well. Andrea set us up with Brenda one day and someone else another day. Brenda showed up on day 1 and we were SOLD! She was AMAZING!! Home RUN! I called Andrea and asked if we could just switch the other person as I did not want to go through another hour longish meet and greet to see if my son and I liked them. I can't imagine any other person. I just wanted to take her home with us. I cannot recommend Brenda and the nanny connection more. We will return, we will call the nanny connection and we will use Brenda. To be specific: Brenda was early, she brought toys our little boy LOVED! She listened to all of our comments about his demeanor, what he and we were comfortable with. We weren't too sure about her taking him to the pool (because let's be honest I've heard "yes I'm comfortable watching at 2 year old in water" -- UM No.. not always.. My two year old will try and jump off of the eiffel tower into a pool). We had a puddle jumper and alerted her of his "jumping" and "running" tendencies and you know what? Brenda FAR surpassed our expectations. We agreed on the first day not to go in the pool. We went down on the porch for drinks and she text me and asked if I'd like her to bring him out front to play so we could see how they were interacting. WHAT? YES!! THAT'S AMAZING!! She brought him around and they played on the bocce field. She was so cautious with him, asked him not to run when it wasn't safe, took him to the pool hall, where he had a BLAST! Fed him dinner in the dining room, gave him a bath and put him down! She even wrote a note every night on everything after he went to bed!! I really smiled when I left him in her care. I did not worry about him with her (and that's rare for me)!! She did take him in the pool and they had a blast. She told me the few times he was trying to be a daredevil and she stopped him (thank goodness) and she was ALWAYS LOVING, with EVERY SINGLE word with him!! He was sooo happy and very safe and that's all that matters!! For the office: I also spoke to Nikki (not sure how her name is spelled) and she was also amazing. Everyone that picked up the phone was professional, accommodating, happy and just a pleasure all around. They knew how scared I was and they were really accommodating if I felt anything was wrong to call them and they would accommodate. I don't know what they do to vet their nannies but whatever it is it's working!! read more

Our nanny Marie was absolutely wonderful, she watched our two children plus their three cousins during an adults only night out. I'm sure those kids were a handful but she handled them so well and got them all in bed and happily asleep by the time we got home. We hired Christy through Nanny Connection to sit for my then 5.5 month old and 2.5 year old kids. She arrived on time with the most winning demeanor - my 2.5 year old barely said 'goodbye' as we left and I was prepared for hysterics. Christy was friendly, bright, and prepared to work with two little ones. She brought toys, crafts, games, and, most importantly, bubbles! She also got the baby to sleep, no problem. We had her back to help my parents care for the kids while my husband and I took an overnight away. She was fabulous, again. It was our first night away and our older child barely noticed our absence she was having so much fun with Christy. We are already planning our next trip to Maui so we can hire Christy to help out even more! The office staff at Nanny Connection was also great. They answered all my questions thoroughly and responded to my calls/inquiries promptly. I can't recommend this service highly enough. As a registered nurse, myself, I have especially high expectations for anyone that cares for any of my loved ones. I have four kids and will say that I am an expert on babysitters and nannies. We needed someone we could count on to watch out little guys (3, 5, 7 and 9 years old) for several hours so we could have an adult night out in Maui and there was no question that these guys delivered, beyond expectations. We just returned home from spending 1 week in the Kaanapali/Lahaina area and we had a very satisfying experience with the Nanny Connection. The process was fairly easy. After filling out an online inquiry of anticipated day/time service needs, the agency was able to match us with a nanny within a week. Lucky for us, we were matched with Meagan. Nanny Connection sent me a brief bio, childcare experience and photograph of Meagan and we felt that she would be a good fit so we decided to "move forward" with her. Meagan sent me a text directly and we were able to communicate with each other prior to our arrival. She agreed to a 1 hour meet and greet the day we arrived and 1 day prior to providing 1:1 care for our 19 month old daughter. I highly recommend doing a meet and greet, especially for little ones who might be shy (and nervous parents like us). Meaghan came prepared with her bag of age appropriate toys and made an instant connection with our daughter. She was very professional, got down to her level and was engaging, attentive and nurturing. She just knew what to do, she was confident in herself and had sound judgement. Did I mention how lucky we were to have gotten her?? We used Meaghan a few days during our stay and because we hadn't solidified ALL of our daily activities, we had some minor time changes and she was soooo accommodating...Bless her! She was always prompt, prepared and courteous. My 2 year old daughter and I tagged along with my boyfriend to a medical conference in Maui. The Nanny Connection was referred to me by our hotel's concierge. I was nervous about leaving my daughter with a stranger for the first time, and so I specifically planned to stay on property both times we had the nanny come - the first was during the day for three hours while I went to the spa and my boyfriend was at the conference; the second time was during a 3-hour tasting menu at the resort's restaurant. However, after the first visit, any trepidation I had was erased. "Melissa" was young but professional and seemed so comfortable around my daughter. She had brought all appropriately-aged toys and activities, and won over my usually skeptical daughter relatively quickly. In fact, after the second visit, the nanny had put my daughter to bed and so my daughter did not get a chance to tell her goodbye. Upon waking up, my daughter was sad that she did not see Ms. Melissa. She told me about all the books they read, how they went swimming in the pool, playing with Playdoh, etc. My daughter and I had a long prep talk about who she would be meeting, what kind of activities they would be doing, and what kind of activities were and weren't appropriate. And, reassured by my daughter's feedback, I would rely on The Nanny Connection again. read more

She was timely, prepared, and knowledgeable. She provided excellent care for our infant. We were a little nervous at first because our baby is so little, but Celeste put us at ease immediately. I always tell the nanny the do's and don't about pool and ocean and have had nothing but great experiences. My girls have loved them too. They are great with kids and toddlers too. My husband and I used Nanny Connections 3 times while we were in Maui. Our nanny, Mikeli, was wonderful. As soon as our 2.5 year old son met her, he was as ease. She know how to get down and talk to him on his level and make him feel important. She brought a couple coloring books for them to work on together. She was amazing with our 18 month old. She showed up every day on time with different toys and would whisk her off to enjoy the beautiful Hawaii outdoors. We had Karissa come watch our 3 year old and 5 years old while we stayed at the fairmont wailea and she was amazing. She showed up with a suitcase full of toys for the kids to play with throughout the week and the kids immediately fell in love with her. She was familiar with the hotel and already had several ideas for things to do with the kids and where to eat and play. We have never gotten a babysitter during a vacation and It was such a treat. The kids had so much fun with Karissa that we didn't feel guilty at all leaving them for a few hours here and there. She was great and kept in communication letting us know how everyone was doing.
