When I raised serious concerns that their lack of communication and interference caused us considerable trouble, with the nanny threatening to walk away, I was greeted with condescension and finger pointing, not problem solving or resolution. Despite these failings, we attempted to engage with Windsor again for a new nanny search. We clearly stated what we were looking for, and offered a pay range within their publicly posted scale. The agent applied hard sales tactics to attempt to incite us to increase the rate to well above market, which was significantly higher than their publicly posted pay scale. We politely declined the pressure, and agreed to move forward with our preferred market rate. Instead of sending the contract, as we'd agreed, the agent sent a vague email referencing the agency's preferred, above market rate, and suggested yet another phone call would be required. I agreed, despite the unprofessionalism of this request, and went through the same time wasting process, again. At that point, and only then, did the "CEO" deem us unworthy of their business. You wasted my time and tried to hustle me. Drop the pretense.

We've had wonderful experiences with Stepping Stone--the teachers (our favorite it Ms. Teresa) and the director have always been good at communicating and reliable. I've noticed that there's been very little turn over or change of staff since we've been there (which is not always the case for other child care centers) so I think they're doing something right over there from an employee point of view too. All the teachers are kind and patient and our daughter has always enjoying going to Stepping Stone. I've seen other people mention issues with the waiting list process. I think part of the issue is that this location is so small and in such high demand because if you live in the neighborhood (this location is an old converted house), it's wildly convenient and walkable. As soon as we were added to the waiting list--probably 8/9ish months ahead of our desired start date--we were told that we would eventually get into this location, but because of space and enrollment constraints we might need to spend sometime a another, bigger campus and wait until there was a spot for us to transfer. Not ideal, but it's a small campus and we've had such a good experience here that I wouldn't hesitate to do the same thing again even with the possibility of the minor inconvenience of spending some time at another location. When something is high demand, there's usually a good reason. And we've think Stepping Stone is great!
