Our nanny's Driver's License expired, and they unilaterally fired her. No notice to us, her actual employers, they just sent a termination email directly to the nanny. When I raised serious concerns that their lack of communication and interference caused us considerable trouble, with the nanny threatening to walk away, I was greeted with condescension and finger pointing, not problem solving or resolution. Despite these failings, we attempted to engage with Windsor again for a new nanny search. We clearly stated what we were looking for, and offered a pay range within their publicly posted scale. The agent applied hard sales tactics to attempt to incite us to increase the rate to well above market, which was significantly higher than their publicly posted pay scale. We politely declined the pressure, and agreed to move forward with our preferred market rate. Instead of sending the contract, as we'd agreed, the agent sent a vague email referencing the agency's preferred, above market rate, and suggested yet another phone call would be required. I agreed, despite the unprofessionalism of this request, and went through the same time wasting process, again. At that point, and only then, did the "CEO" deem us unworthy of their business. You wasted my time and tried to hustle me. Drop the pretense.

Communication was excellent during the entire process and I really loved how they were very proactive and on top of things. I really loved their professionalism, how thorough they are and how organized everything was! Their online dashboard is amazing if you, like me, care about things being very organized and detailed. I felt that they really did a good job matching us with a nanny who fit our needs and things have been going great since! Highly recommend Windsor House Nannies!

I have a special needs child, and because my son is non vocal, uses a wheelchair and still wears diapers, quality care is the most important thing to me. My babysitter that we had is the most fun loving that we have ever had, and we feel so blessed that we found this company!!

A friend turned me onto Capital Grannies and we've been very grateful to have them. They do 7-yr background checks on all of their sitters and overall the ones we've had (probably have used 7-9 in all) have been very engaging, sweet, and definitely had a knack with kids. Not all of the sitters would qualify for "granny" status...in fact, most of them are college-age or close to it. But I've never left the house with anything less than total confidence. The only sitter who was not completely adored by our daughter was a woman who was a little bit on the hippie-ethereal side. I felt like she was perfectly nice and competent but not necessarily someone our 3-yr old could relate to. We've only had 2 friends and Capital Grannies take care of our daughter. For what it's worth.

Their website clearly says "NO UPFRONT FEES - you only pay after you hire your nanny." We were required to pay the full amount before a single candidate even started. Multiple candidates were sent; none passed even the trial week, and the one we tried missed work about half the time. More than 3 1/2 months later we have received zero reliable childcare, yet they are now trying to bill us an extra $250 on top of the $2,000 already paid. When we asked for our money back and for our family's personal data to be deleted under Texas privacy law, we were ignored. Extremely disappointed and out over $2K with nothing to show for it. Wish we had read the other similar reviews first. This is a scam.

My husband and I used Nanny Poppinz to find a nanny for our kids (2 years old and 4 months old at…read morethe time). Of the three people that we interviewed, one did not believe in vaccinations and another was extremely unprofessional (stopped by while taking Uber fares) stating that she would not work with a parent present. When we finally thought we found a nanny, we signed the paperwork with Amber and were immediately charged $4,160. Our circumstances changed when my mother decided to move to Austin and we informed Amber that we would only require a short-term nanny. She told us that the $4,169 was non-refundable, but could be used towards credit for a temp nanny. Amber did find use a temp nanny, but she quit after a month to become a schoolteacher. When we informed Amber of the situation, she went two resumes over for review and ceased all communication after that. My husband tried contacting her and gave up. In essence, Nanny Poppinz is a scam. The majority of their nannies are not qualified to care for children and pray that you don't run in to an issue if you do find a nanny using their service. If Yelp would allow us to rate Nanny Poppinz zero stars, we would. Unfortunately, we had to rate it one star, which is one too many.

The teacher in our child's classroom (Alondra) is kind, attentive, and dedicated to the kids' intellectual growth. She makes learning fun with thoughtful, age-appropriate activities that keep them engaged. It's clear she puts a lot of care into her work--not only is she creative but also cleans several times a day. At my child's last daycare, she would come home with stains all over her clothes and the bathwater would be so murky it was appalling. Having a smaller classroom and a dedicated teacher has really helped. A special shoutout to the director, Connie, who is truly the heart of the facility. She is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and approachable. From the first day, she has made us feel welcome and heard. Connie somehow knows every child by name and always takes the time to check in with both parents and kids. It's clear that she genuinely cares about each family and works hard to make the daycare a safe, nurturing environment. I've even bumped into her at our local HEB while she was buying snacks for the kids and I swear she works over 40 hours a week since she is always there no matter what time I drop off or pick up. We really couldn't ask for a better place for our child to learn and grow. Highly recommend!
