Still going here since 1999. You may find other health food products in the area, but you will never find someone as knowledgeable as the owner. She spends time with her customers to help them get what's right for them. She is also honest and will tell you straight out if the cheaper brand is the same quality (or not). I actually really liked this place. I meant to rate this place a 4 stars but the event that happens yesturday totally turned my opinion the other way. STARRLINA S. was very right. Every section I go, I'm being watched. If she can't see whats going on in front of you, she'll go side way and pretend to fix things 2 inches away from you. Like I said earlier, it is very uncomfortable going to there. She was actually really nice before but may be she had a bad day... BUT that don't give her the right to insult a customer. I inform her I shopped here many times. She chuckles and said you only come one time. I find it funny because every time I'm there you are looking over my shoulders to see If i'm stealing anything. At the check out, she managed to insult me and ring up and throw the products in the bag. I do not care what her personal life may be, don't bring that to work. it's very unprofessional. Fairly good natural health store. Limited supply due to space and the area interest (slow but getting there). Prices are a little high compared to Whole Foods, etc. It's run by Asians so I'm not into the "peeping around the corner" to see if you are stealing anything. I love this little store. The owner and his wife are usually in the store to welcome customers and answer questions. They are both wonderful people. I never felt as if I was being watched while shopping. I give this particular grocer five stars because they carry so many different types of gluten-free foods. And they stock items that I can't find at my huge local Whole Foods or Wegmans. If you're looking for GF donuts, this is the only place I've found to carry them. read more

I shop quickly because I dislike shopping, but the gentleman there became curt - no, actually he was downright rude when I asked a question and then I was rung up while I was still shopping. I went by this store today. When I walked in, the clerk asked me if I needed help with anything. I told him no I was fine I knew where the item was that I wanted. Not even a minute later he comes into the isle I'm in and asks me "what do you want?" I told him I'm fine I'm just reading the labels on the products. I go to another isle and he follows me. At this point I'm over it and I just check out with the one item I already decided on. Then, this a white man is walking up to the store and the clerk goes to open and hold the door open for him and lets the man help himself while he sits at the counter watching the other clerk check me out. I'm a paying customer; I don't need to be followed around like I'm a thief. Needless to say, they will not be getting my business any longer. read more

I like coming to the Natural Grocer because they are always very helpful when I have questions. I usually only go when I don't have time to order my natural remedies online, so I am thankful that this store exists. Some items can be a little expensive, but its great to be able to get what you need on the spot. read more

The people working there are friendly and knowledgeable. I am dissatisfied that they don't stand behind very costly products. A $40 product did not work with my allergies and no refund only excuses. I've been going to this store for almost 15 years now. The staff is always accurate in their assessment and courteous to me. They saved my life and expedited my healing when a tumor was removed from my stomach. They advised me on the probiotics and other natural healing substances I needed to build back my immune system so i can get well. I go there for EVERYTHING. I have shopped at the Natural Grocer for quite a few years and have never found the staff at the Natural Grocer to be rude or sneaky. This is a family owned business with a lot to lose if they don't keep a close eye on their stock. And with so many products to chose from for so many different conditions it is very understandable that they would see if they can speed you through the shopping process by asking if they can help you. With that being said let me share that they have helped me with a gastrointestinal problem that wasn't helped with two different prescription medicines or even after speaking with a gastroenterologist I got no relief until I went to the Natural Grocer. They know their products and they know what helps for a wide variety of ailments. And they will even tell you that if their products don't work that you should see your physician. They are very responsible people who care very much about their customers. I highly recommend the Natural Grocer. read more

Over the past 10 years, I've been a customer on an irregular basis since I don't need a lot of health items. Also, I live within 5 miles of the store, so it's not inconvenient to go there. Each time I've been there, I've never considered the staff as "watching my every move" or as being distrustful of my searching. I've asked for help and they've been ready to guide or advise me about whatever product I was looking for or looking at. They've been knowledgeable and willing to find the right solution for whatever problem I had, and I've never had a bad result from their help. I like being given thoughtful answers to my questions since I don't have the expertise that the store staff has, and it's valuable to me to know these things. I find it refreshing that I'm not ignored by staff who don't want to be bothered with helping a customer like I've experienced in other stores where I couldn't find help and the product either. If there's stealing going on, then I would expect the management to try to prevent it without raising prices or going out of business. read more

Went to The Natural Grocer for the first time yesterday. I've lived in the area for 6 years and never knew the store existed, until a friend told me about it. Upon entering, one of the owners greeted and welcomed me. Later, another of the owners (it's a husband and wife team) also greeted me and asked if I had any questions. As I checked out, they offered me some chips to try as well as a sample pack of kids vitamins for my daughter. They have a very vast and unique array of goods, many of which I had never seen in another store before. Very pleasant visit! read more
