This time we went to get a ham for a Christmas dinner. What really stood out for me was the staff. They were absolutely wonderful. The two ladies behind the counter helped us navigate the options, explaining the differences between bone-in hams, pre-sliced ones, and various sizes (all pre-cooked, of course). We ended up with a fairly large one that rang up over $100, but man, it was worth it. When we got it to the party, we did not have to spend hours cooking. It was super easy to heat up following their instructions, and it was downright delicious--juicy, flavorful, that signature sweet glaze... perfection. No issues there whatsoever and customer service was great. My issue was with the quality of the ham. I've been ordering honey baked hams off and on for 25+ years. You know what you get. A delicious, melt in your mouth ham for triple the price of a boxed Store ham. Not this time. My ham was not good. I paid $100 for a 9-lb ham and it seemed as if it was old. I should have known because typically they open it up and show you before wrapping it in the store. That's my fault for not asking. I don't think I'll visit this store again. Extremely disappointing.
