It's just a better store and with the renovation, it's a far superior store. Prices are reasonable and at times comparable to Walmart. The young people who work there are really nice, especially the young lady who tends to help at the self checkout line. I've been pleasantly surprised by how often I'm offered free products for shopping there. At times I'll pay for my groceries and be offered free ice cream, bread, corn, peanut butter, you name it. The free peanut butter has really gotten me into natural and organic peanut butter, so thanks for that. I do have ONE complaint. We used to buy the pre-prepared (deli) pizzas weekly. It was our Friday thing to do as a family. We would buy the four (or is it six?) cheese pizza (two of them) and serve them up while watching movies at night. Recently, Food Lion changed their pizza recipe. They went from traditional crust to thin crust, and added some seasoning I believe. It tastes different, and the deciding factor is that my 5 year old son stopped eating it after a couple of bites... and pizza is his favorite food. Due to inflation and competition from Aldi and Lidl, they don't hold a candle to their glory years. Thank you capitalism. This is a very clean store. Absolutely wonderful employees. Yet to be clear, their deals aren't what they used to be. Even accounting for inflation, I'm not all that impressed. They definitely have every item you're looking for. The self checkouts save time. Great produce and fruit areas, but sales seem more difficult to find.

10/1/2025 ~8:30p A…read morelittle disappointed bc I placed an order for two 44oz, but when I got there the lady had made two 32oz instead. When I explained to her, she checked the receipt and realized her mistake then remade my drinks, which is fine bc mistakes happen! But when she handed me my drinks, i noticed she shorted me for one of the drinks.. I even saw her scraping the last bit from the blender into the cup, clearly aware it wasn't enough, but she didn't address it or offer to top it off. After waiting extra time for the corrected order, it felt frustrating to be shorted again. All I'm saying is if I'm promised a size, it shouldn't come up short, especially after a mistake was already fixed. The reason for the five stars is because this place is usually very good to me. I'm hoping this was just an off day.
