It was only 8:40, and when my husband asked why, she gave him a pretty sharp look before finally coming back and taking our order. We both got bacon cheeseburgers with fries. The fries were fine, but the burgers were terrible -- dry, completely lacking flavor, and clearly unseasoned. I just don't understand why bars bother offering food if they aren't going to put any effort into making it decent. We each only managed to eat half of our burgers, which is rare for us. On top of that, service was lacking. Our server never checked back on us, and we had to walk up to the bar just to flag someone down. Meanwhile, the bartenders were having the loudest time in the whole place, yelling and laughing amongst themselves louder than any of the actual customers. Overall, the vibe was off, the food was bad, and the service wasn't much better. We won't be going back.

We ended up staying there talking for a couple of hours to catch up, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. While there are lots of great options on the menu, both of us chose the BPT - Breaded Pork Tenderloin. I've eaten a lot of breaded pork tenderloins in my time, but none like this one. The usual approach is super thin and huge, making the bun look tiny. While this one wasn't much larger than the bun, it was at least an inch thick, so it was more like eating a fried pork chop sandwich, but with the meat tenderized. The meat was well-seasoned and very flavorful, and the crust was extra-crispy and crunchy. The Honey-Lime sauce (one of three sauces brought to each table along with Ranch and Tyler's Sauce) is delicious and worked great with the pork. The nachos were customized to account for a dietary preference so this is not the standard, however they were delicious and a huge portion. The pizza was thin crust and was excellent too, so no notes across the board. Thanks once again to Connor for accommodating us and being so patient with our party. We ordered 1/2 rack ribs (4 stars), 1/2lb Brisket (3 1/2 stars), Brunswick stew (4 1/2 starts), and Chili Con Carnie (5 stars). The house made barbecue sauce was the highlight of the meal (5 Stars). The ribs were very good and fell off the bone. The sauce made them exceptional. Brisket was tasty, but a little dry for my wife's liking. In hindsight, we probably should have ordered the brisket "chopped". The waitress indicated that the "chopped" brisket was more "fatty". The Chili Con Carnie was very very good. Not something that you see at a Barbeque place often. I highly recommend. The key lime pie was very tasty and better than what you get at most places. Although not quite exceptional.
