So happy I found a location that's closer to my work site in DTC. I usually go to the Lakewood location but this one had a different vibe - not as busy/loud and had a nicer layout. The location is very modern and open. I started going to Nest about 2 months ago after a horrible experience at another nail salon (a cheapy nail salon you see in every shopping plaza). I wanted to find a place that's clean and reputable. Nest is a bit expensive but trust me, it's better to spend a little extra to avoid future headaches. I feel my nails are safe at this nail salon. They give you a goodie bag your first visit (cuticle oil and file). I've been using the oil consistently and my cuticles are much better! I love that they make you wash your hands before you pick out your colors. Every nail salon should do this. After each person they wipe down their stations and change files (disposable ones are used). Sanitation is key and Nest definitely felt clean at both locations. I had Monique today and she did a wonderful job! She was very friendly and experienced. The only downfall with Nest is that you have to be on top of your appointments. Before you leave, schedule that appointment. They usually fill up quick so make sure you are on top of that. I didn't have an issue scheduling appointment with this location but with the Lakewood location is so much harder. Will be back. read more

This is the most expensive nail salon that I have ever visited. I got a basic manicure and pedicure with no clear coat and nail polish applied. It cost me $90 plus tip! The only positive thing I can say about this place is that they don't use any kind of nail polish remover so the salon doesn't smell like acetone. It's once and done for me. read more

I absolutely love this place! I have seen a couple different techs now and each one has been amazing. Pros: Great conversation, very clean salon, detailed techs and calm atmosphere. Cons: The prices are up there compared to other nails salons. I got a shellac manicure with French design and it was $10 extra for the French. Don't get me wrong they look great and the tech took her time to make sure my nails were perfect but if your looking for a cheaper option, this is not the place. I got a Hummingbird mani/pedi at the Nest DTC in February, Nat (Nathalia) was my aesthetician. Check in was easy peasy, and they were ready for me at the appointment time. Nat was great. Friendly, efficient and checked in regularly to make sure I was comfortable and happy (e.g. asked if water temp was ok, if nail shape and length was good, if I liked the color I chose once she started to apply, etc). Salon is very cute, well lit and clean. And bonus, as this was my first visit, I got a little gift of some cuticle oil and a $5 off coupon. I will say that booking was a pain, only because the salon is appointment only and they are booked 2-3 weeks out, but that is understandable. They do have a wait/cancellation list you can add yourself to, highly suggest this if you are looking for an earlier appointment. Great looking, modern salon, welcoming and warm. But then after receiving the absolute best manicures and pedicures ever, we knew we found a true gem. I used to be a consistent customer here, going in every 2-3 weeks to get my nails done. I wouldn't say it was anything amazing, they are a VERY BASIC nail salon with VERY HIGH prices. What really did it for me and why I stopped visiting was one really terrible experience. I brought it my BF who is a Marine and just came back from a deployment. I wanted to get his feet done since they get so beat up, I made a pedicure appointment for him while I got my hands done. The lady that worked on him was with him for 10-15 minutes and then he had to wait the remaining hour for me to finish. I ended up paying the full service amount, even though he didn't get any nail polish done (it should be at least somewhat cheaper if you get no nail polish). Once we got home he expressed that she didn't really do anything. I looked at his feet and saw she didn't take off his cuticles and un-evenly trimmed his toe nails, they looked rough. I ended up fixing it for him but when I went in the next time I expressed this frustration and dissatisfaction. The owner (a lady) came out and argued with me! She told me that's impossible and that I was wrong!!!! The owner does not care about customers AT ALL. Needless to say I am no longer a customer. I love this nail salon! I'm cosmetologist so I'm so happy there's a salon that actually follows state board and is clean and sanitary! My favorite things are , it's decorated super cute , you get to choose your lotion scent and that it doesn't smell like acrylic. I have been to this nail spa several times when I am in Denver. My experiences were good until yesterday. I had a pedicure with a tech who was not friendly at all. I asked if I could have some water and a small bottle was brought to me. I also wanted a sugar scrub instead of the file they use, that was 5.00 extra which was fine. At this salon they are supposed to give you the leftovers from whatever they use on your feet or hands, this did not happen yesterday. I checked out and the payment screen showed that I had been charged 3.00 for a bottle of water. What spa charges for water? My other issue is the tip screen was based on the total of everything, not just the pedicure charge as it should be. read more

One terrible experience can be a fluke. Two terrible experiences is a trend. I made an appointment at Nest last year through their online booking system for a friend and I to have pedicures. I received a confirmation email. When we showed up for the appointment, they said they only had one of us on the schedule and for the wrong service. They had no intention of repairing the situation by offering another appointment or squeezing us in for their error. Instead they told us they were booked out for weeks and tough luck. A decided to give their terrible customer service salon another shot and booked a shellac mani pedi. Their earliest appointment was more than a month out but I waited patiently. I run a very tight schedule and don't have a lot of wiggle room to add in emergency appointments. I got a confirmation call less than 24 hours before the appointment telling me that if I had gel on my nails already I would need to have it removed prior to the appointment. This wasn't in any of the confirmation emails sent and unfortunately, I am booked back to back until my appointment. They again told me "this was on our website, you should have read the entire site prior to booking" (btw who reads an entire website prior to booking?) and that they can cancel my service but again "tough luck". Maybe they do great nails, who knows. But I won't be giving them a dime of my money just based on how rude the people who work there have been. Thanks, Tess. read more

I've been to the The Nest Nail Spa-DTC on several occasions. The ambiance of the spa is spectacular and very clean, the staff is very friendly and provide great service, and their prices are a little above average. I have received several good manicures/pedicures from various manicurists there (one of which no longer works there). However, I have had a few manicures that have not been up-to-par (Shellac polish was very thick and streaky). That being said, when I called to speak to the owner, she was terse when I told her about the service I received. She offered to let me come back for a re-do (on a morning before they opened), but her tone of voice made me feel like she was put out so I decided not to even bother. She also made it a point to tell me that she was a "small business" . . . . I am all for supporting small businesses; however, the customer service I received from this small business OWNER is not acceptable to me. Needless to say, I won't be returning. read more

I've been looking for a new nail place since my former lady retired. I had high expectations for The Nest. To sum up my experience, it was more expensive than other salons in the area. But the service was very bare bones. I think she massaged for a total of 20 seconds. She was starting to put my polish on with no base coat. When I asked her to please use a base coat, she used a green one that showed through my polish, and we had to start over. They don't autoclave the tools and told me they're not required to by Colorado law, but all the other places do. They didn't use a new nail file. So it didn't seem dirty, but that was a definite con for me. The technician was sweet, but the service was meh, and I worried about the sanitation. My polish peel off in 48 hours! And it was 50% more expensive than their competition. read more

I surprised my mom for the weekend visiting from out of town and The Nest was super accommodating to squeeze me in for a hummingbird pedicure on a busy Saturday. Their massage chairs are new and comfortable and they use the best locally made salts, scrubs and lotions (you get your choice of 4 scents!) and the service is heavenly. My feet feel soft and my polish is perfect! They have the greatest selection of CND Vinylux and Shellac polishes (spoiler: any other salon in the Denver area will charge you to upgrade to vinylux polish because it lasts much longer than regular polishes so consider that as they do have upper end pricing... but you get what you pay for!) I even got a goodie bag for it being my first time here. This is a top notch natural nail salon in Denver. And my last comment MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! This is not a walk in place and they seem to get booked up a couple weeks out! read more

I really liked and enjoyed my experience at the Nest Nail spa in DTC. I got the cardinal pedicure. It cost $55 before tip, and it lasted roughly 45 minutes including a brief nail drying time. As with every business experience, there were positives and negatives about my pedicure. Positives: - it was fairly easy to get an appointment for my desired date and time just two days out. - the salon was super clean, and I definitely saw employees sanitizing the foot bowls and chairs after each client. - they use more eco and health friendly products than other salons. - my specific pedicurist was very kind, attentive, and just the right amount of talkative. - the locally made products (scrubs, masks, lotions) smelled and felt amazing! - the modern massage chairs were super functional and easy to use. - they had a good selection of polish colors and types - finally, I'm quite happy with the way my pedicure looks, even several days later. The color payoff and the quality of the paint job are both great. It was clearly done by a good artist. The negatives/constructive criticism: - while they have a lot of color choices, I did find that there were certain shades of colors that just weren't there. They had wide variety of the popular colors (pinks, reds, nudes), but then they'd have only one or two polishes in- for example- a light yellow. This really wasn't a huge deal though. - my biggest issue with my experience at this location, and the reason I only gave 4 stars instead of 5, was the length of time given on my pedicure massage. I specifically asked the length of the massage on the cardinal pedicure when I booked the appointment, and the employee at the front desk said it was a 15 minute massage. In my experience, my pedicurist spent only about 3 minutes per leg, totaling about 6-7 minutes overall. I actually was able to see the clock from my chair, and I was a little shocked to see her cut it so short. While the massage felt AMAZING (really, she was so good) I do truly feel like I was shorted by a relatively substantial amount of time. I considered mentioning this to the owner, but I don't want to get the pedicurist in any trouble. She truly was so great other than the severely shortened massage time. But I would just keep in mind that some of the nail artists may not stick to the advertised time at this location. Overall, I loved the atmosphere and experience. However, $55 is a high price to pay when my pedicurist cut my leg massage significantly short. I would definitely visit this location again for future appointments if I could be sure I'd get the advertised massage time. read more

The Nest is, hands down, the best nail salon in town. This new location in the DTC is exceptional. Every detail has been attended to so that you feel pampered from the moment you walk in the door. First, I love that they set aside time just for you. There is no, "sign in and we will call your name" nonsense. When you make an appointment, that time is dedicated to you! (As an aside, you will want to think ahead and make your appointments well in advance because they fill their slots pretty fast.) Second, rest assured that if there's a product in use or on their shelves that it's all natural. I love that it always smells clean and that they don't use any harsh chemicals. It's a priority for me in my life, and I also appreciate that it's a priority for their clients and staff. The Nest has been my nail spa for a few years now, and I'm thrilled with this new location. I had a scheduled appt and I had to wait 30 min past my appt time for the nail technician to finish a quick fill in that had dropped in for a repair that took longer than expected. It would not bother me to wait 5 or 10 min past a scheduled appt time, but 30 min with nowhere to sit and wait was a bit excessive. Normally I would have walked out after 30 min, but I really wanted to get my shellac manicure redone prior to the holiday weekend and the front desk clerk offered an extra 10% off after a 10 min wait. At 20 min past my appointed time I mentioned it should be 10% for every 10 minutes of waiting time. When I was done she said they would meet in the middle and gave me a 15% discount. On top of that I felt that the nail technician was very rough and I had to pull my hand back at one point. I'm not sure if she was in a hurry to try and catch up for her next appt or clean up to go home since this was towards the end of the day. Felt humiliated when I was rejected for having a discoloration to my toenail. Had a tip applied by a podiatrist a few months ago to enhance a prior toenail that was traumatized and was slowly growing out. This is a common discoloration. Was told I needed to see a health professional ( I am a health professional myself) to get a doctor's note. I went to another salon and was helped without any question. read more
