SPACE/LOCATION: Located on the ground floor of an apartment building, Mimi's Nail Bar has ample parking for it's guests. Super clean and modern inside. Love the look! The neon "I Got Nailed At Mimi's" sign is super fun. Ton's of natural light. Everything is white which makes the space feel huge! Massage chairs for the pedicures and comfy roller chairs for the manicures. Little details throughout really help the space feel cozy. SERVICES: They offer a variety of the traditional nail salon services including various manicure and pedicures. Mimi's Nail Bar boasts a HUGE selection of both traditional polish and gel polish. No acrylics here folks! It's nice to give your nails a break. Having done acrylics for almost a year now, I've been looking forward to letting my natural nails shine! STAFF: Everyone was super friendly! They were able to squeeze me in without an appointment (which isn't always the case) for a gel manicure and traditional polish pedicure. Several of the guests were clearly regulars and had a great rapport with the staff. PRICES: In my opinion, just a bit steep for a gel manicure and traditional polish pedicure. However, they do offer a stamp card for a free service after 10 visits. So that does help with the occasional pampering splurge! LOCATION/VIBES: In the Inverness center, Mimi's is nestled in the southwest corner walking distance from the shops and restaurants nearby! Because the strip mall is small and houses condo residents, parking can be a bit tricky, but there are plenty of spaces! The interior is modern, sleek and WHITE - making the small space feel large, and cool! STAFF: Literally the best. I love the girls working here - as they are young, bubbly, fun and extremely conversational! Both girls gave great suggestions on nail colors, great gel substitutes and were very pleasant during our visit! They gave us a punch card to use next time too! They seem to do a very good job of avoiding the harsh chemicals. What I received was a friendly, relaxing, and professional pedicure. My chair was very comfortable and gave a good massage. Let me begin by saying that I have been getting my nails done for over 10 years. I've done everything from regular polish to gel. I've also gotten acrylics, silk wrap and everything in between. I first got in contact with Mimi's Nail Bar a little over a year ago. I was browsing Instagram and saw that they were a new establishment with a set of nails on their profile that I wanted to get. I texted the phone number on the page and got an immediate response. I told the person I wanted my nails in the picture and she went on to ask me questions about my current nail status. Did I have acrylics on? How long were they? What was my expectation? I told her I was leaving for a wedding and wanted acrylics done to elongate my natural nail. She told me she did not do acrylics at her salon but would happily do DIP POWDER with extensions. I had so many questions because in my 10 years of getting my nails done, I had never heard of dip powder. She took the time to explain it to me and I came in for my first appointment shortly thereafter. Long story short, Mimi's Nail Bar has been nothing but AMAZING. Their attention to detail is everything I've ever wanted in a nail salon. If I had a question, they'd answer it. If I was unhappy (which rarely happens since I started coming here), I am able to let them know and they'd be happy to fix or change whatever it was. The salon is always clean and the staff is so friendly I feel like family when I walk in. Their color selection is superb and they've even got a rewards program for coming to their salon. It's located in the Inverness center by the restaurants and shops on the corner. I loved this place from the moment I walked in. Everyone here is so friendly and welcomed me right away with my name. The salon is extremely clean and modern. The nail desks are marble slate. The whole shop is just so cute and girly. They offer many different services at competitive prices. If your nail chips or something happens within a week of getting them done, you can call them and they will fix for free. It only took 45 min for my gel manicure which I greatly appreciate because I hate sitting for more than an hour for a quick manicure. My nails are flawless every time, doesn't matter who does them. The salon is clean, their Covid protocols are great, good music always playing. This is one of the best nail salons I have been to in a while. I recently moved and was looking locally to for a service that not many nail salons offer yet: dip powder. Environment: The music is trendy pop music and puts you in a good mood. Very clean and open salon with a neon sign that reads "I got nailed at Mimi's"! Super cute. Service: Upon entrance I'm always greeted by at least one employee. Both times I have made a reservation as I read they are required. I have seen a pair of ladies walk in and get pedicures purely out of luck as they were not booked at that instance. I get the dip powder done by Mimi and she makes sure my nails look excellent before she's done. She offered a beverage and made sure I was comfortable. Value: $45 for a dip powder manicure over my natural nail length. No tip extention. WELL WORTH IT! The shape is exactly how I wanted it and my nail beds look flawless. Sugar scrub and massage to finish we're a cherry on top. They also have a punch card so make sure to pick one up and bring it with you every time! Thanks Mimi! read more

The place is very clean and gorgeous. The ladies are super nice but it is definitely over price. I got a pedicure with a French tip. I choose basic pedicure (which typically comes with removing callous) but it was $30 for basic pedicure, additional $10 for callous remover, $10 more dollars for French tip toes(which is less product then a normal paint coat) and then $5 for a line (which is normal) so a $30 basic pedicure turned into $55 by the time I checked out without a tip yet. So pretty place overall but you will definitely be charged every penny and over priced. read more

Great nail salon! Love that this place takes care in how they treat your nails. No electric rotary filing here. Just manual filing and gentle cuticle removing. Tools come out of packages that have been sanitized and cleaned. Pedicure basin was cleaned and wrapped for the next customer. They take their time but it's worth the extra care! read more

I went to Mimi's because I read amazing reviews on Yelp, and I hoped this would be my go to place. The girls are super nice, the place is extremely clean and beautiful, and my nails tech was very nice to talk to. However, I am not too happy with my nails. The cuticles were not removed, my polish looks like it's a few days old already (it was done yesterday), and my thumb nail which was broken was not fixed, and she did not apply polish over the chip to cover it and prevent from further chipping. I asked for deep red, I even showed a picture a few times and the color turned out to be deep purple. My mom's nails were done beautifully! The ladies that worked on my nails and feet both seemed very nice and friendly and both did a good job. I like that they were speaking to me and when speaking amongst themselves they were speaking in English. This is probably the first time I went to a nail salon and this was the case. So I appreciate that because I think is very rude when you go into a salon and they're not speaking to you or really acknowledging that your there. And whe they're conversating in their language and you don't know what they're saying or if they're speaking negatively about you...... With that being said I've only had my gel Mani for a WEEK and it's looks like it's been on for 3 the Polish has pushed away from my cuticles DRASTICALLY and my nails are starting to PEEL! So I think I would have been better off getting a regular manicure because it wasn't worth the extra money. I only ever get gel manicures and this has never happened to me before. This is very disappointing for me because I read reviews on them prior to making a decision to go and looked at their work, but of course that doesn't include after photos....... I guess you just never really know until you go. UPDATE: I wish I could give ZERO Stars! I had photos below of my nails(which is proof of what I'm saying in my review) and I'm seeing that they're no longer there! So I just reuploaded them. So I guess the salon deleted them!.....WOOOOOW! I will be periodically checking my review to re-upload them if this continues to happen to make sure that people are able to see them. Why did you guys even bother commenting under my review acting like you cared about my experience when I can see that clearly you don't after doing something like this!
