I made an appt for an MRI, and I was told there was an additional for sedation since I am claustrophobic. My driver didnt show up, so I couldnt have the sedation. I made it through the MRI without sedation, but expected an adjustment to my bill. I was told after the the MRI the sedation was free, so I wasnt charged an extra fee for it. The $600 I owed didnt include the cost for sedation. Hmmmm, I questioned if that is true, because the lady that called me the day before wanted to be sure I had a driver because of the sedation. She wanted to be sure I understood there would be an extra charge. So my question is, was anyone been charged an extra charge for sedation if claustrophobic during an MRI? If so, how much was it? For 6 months, she ran test after test. Repeating tests that had already been done by other practitioners and provided to her. I live 2 hours away, but she required every test to be done at her office, so they could run up my bill. After all those visits and time and money consuming tests, her diagnosis was that I was crazy. She said anyone who worked the hours I do (10 hours a day, six days a week) is crazy. I told her that I was sure as a doctor, there were times during medical school and during her residency, that she had to pull doubles. I own 3 companies. We are very busy at certain times of year. I told her that it is not that busy all that time and we are building... but she stuck to her guns and said, "I was crazy." And I guess I was. Crazy to go to that QUACK who ran every test she could to pad her pocket.

When you are at the end of your sanity rope, and you are from pain by the time you get to these doctors...it's not the time to switch to verbal abuse. Seen it in the waiting room. Simmons Cancer Center .. New…read more My 73 year old wife had a lung scan every year since 2021 revealing "ground glass" effect causing recommend to another yearly scan. She missed 2023 because of couple extensive back and neck surgeries. 2024 scan revealed 2 very small nodules yet recommendation for wait a year see if they grow. Unknown to me maybe because my wife did not see it as significant. She kept this info from me. I would have pushed go back in 6 months at most. November 2025 one nodule had quadrupled in size now above the .8 MM that triggers biopsy. A good local hospital will remained unnamed performed the scans and biopsy but I knew she needed professional specialists. After some internet evaluation I might have chosen Houstons MD Anderson being number one in the world but distance and possibility of multiple traveling appointments caused opting for Simmons Center at UTSW. It has a very high rating, the same certifications, same modern technology and was closer access which is important for people of our age. It was a good decision as we met oncologist Dr Wei the next week who has an outstanding online video introducing herself to prospective patients. Just the video was reassuring! Even tho we had no appointment with Dr Nelson he came in and looked at our scans. Was also reassuring and said that they usually do surgery within 30 days if they think it is the correct path. This was music to my paranoid ears. PET scan and breathing test was required then he lived up to his promise removing both nodules and several lymph nodes for lab evaluation in the same surgery December 2025. They think she is cured (KNOCK ON WOOD) In summary I would give 6 stars if possible for both these doctors and even tho we did not have to use her expertise Dr Zhang (the radiation specialist) also was welcoming, friendly and very professional. These doctors and every one at Simmons from valet to pre and post surgery nurses were pros and always polite and friendly. We did not have to partake in their Hope Lodge which is a free hotel for their patients. Radiation would have been daily for 6 weeks and living 75 miles away would not have been able to keep up with that drive every day. But it is there if you need it. I have read some reviews about taking too long to get appointments or having to wait past time of appointment and would suggest achieving excellent trained specialist is the assignment for you or loved ones! Organizing yourself and your records will streamline the process of dealing with a large and very busy organization. Maybe write down notes in your smart phone listing questions as you think of them before the appointment. Finally patience might be the best attribute to becoming a successful patient. Let me assure you these people will be on it quickly

Was I fired because I hurt Sorin's ego, or was it because my sister wrote a bad review of HER experience? I have been a patient of NTINH for over a decade, and in the approximately 50-80 appointments, I was late by 5 minutes one time, and missed 1 appointment due to Apple's "wonderful" update that turns off the alarm sound if you move your phone. I paid the no-show fee without complaint as it was my fault. Second, I received a "certified mail/registered return receipt" that was absolutely not sent by either, I received it by plain, regular first class mail. Lying seems to be second nature to NTINH. I recently started Botox to treat my migraines. It has been, administratively, a nightmare. There was no pamphlet to explain what to expect or how it works. No one ever provided me with the paper aftercare instructions; I had to pick them up myself at the 6-week follow-up. Each time I scheduled an appointment, I was called before my appointment and told that I needed to move my appointment as Paige wasn't available on those days. Both times, the length of time between the call and my new appointment was too short for me to request an update to my time off, and I then had to involve my manager, making everything twice as complicated. Physically, my second Botox appointment was with Sorin (who was very condescending), and it was so much more painful than Ms Wolfe. The front desk staff, particularly in the Plano location, seem not to have evolved beyond high school mean girls. Elaine Timm is one of the meanest doctors I have ever dealt with. That sounds juvenile but holy God was she awful. Every time I went I dreaded going, and ended up with a stress migraine/headache. She withheld useful pain management information for over a year for some unknown reason. The only useful thing she did was suggest Ajovy/Aimovig, otherwise I stayed at status quo for the entire time I was with her. Frankly, the one star is because I have to and because Dr El-Hag was quite kind.

You can message on the app they suggest, Klara, and there's a 1/10 chance you'll get a response in the time you need. Dr Stephenson is not a bad doctor. It's her staff that needs an entire re-hire with people that actually care about their jobs and the people they are supposed to be helping. I am now in the process of getting a new neurologist and I can't get the office to send the paperwork over.
