I sat back in the room, waiting for an entire hour after my appointment time. also, I was given lab paperwork and I needed to call cause I had a question and it's a generic number that goes to all the clinics and it's almost impossible to get in touch with somebody at the Direct office. This clinic is so inapt. Three times they have made appointments that they had to reschedule because they made it with the wrong doctor. They have shown no compassion on a 92-year-old woman who has been suffering unbearably and needs treatment to get her in quicker. They cancelled an afternoon appointment without advising us which we had confirmed in the morning and said they had accidentally scheduled it with a Doctor Who does not do the procedure. This is incompetence at its worse from people who are supposed to be professionals and affecting lives. read more

Pathetic office staff! I have driven there to ensure they have my medical insurance card and requested they submit prior authorization to the company. I went in person twice, months in advance! My appointment is Wednesday. It was never done! Now, I have to reschedule? I depend on this treatment. Poor patient care! I have severe and chronic migraine and NEED the treatment. After my last treatment, I asked to schedule for 3 months out (like I always do). They said "No, you are not allowed to do that...we will call when your next treatment is coming up." 2 weeks before my treatment they tel me the doctor needs to see me in person first. I scheduled. The DAY of my appointment, they inform me that they are no longer taking my insurance. NOW, I have to wait 4 months to establish with a doctor. And that doesn't include the treatment!!' I visited The Neuron Clinic, and while the neurologist PA I saw was very kind; however, my overall experience with the clinic has been terrible. I suffer from migraines and have been waiting for months for the clinic to contact me regarding my treatment. After multiple attempts, I (the PATIENT) had to coordinate a three-way call with my insurance provider and the clinic's Botox Coordinator. During the call, the insurance representative confirmed that my treatment had been approved as it should have been, with the correct number of units required. However, after the call, I had to reach out to the clinic seven times, leaving multiple voicemails without receiving a single response. When I finally managed to speak with the Botox Coordinator, she claimed that--despite the insurance company's confirmation--my treatment had not been approved. I later discovered that my insurance authorization case had been closed by the clinic's Botox Coordinator without notifying me. Even more frustrating, the clinic continues to insist that my treatment was denied, yet they have no paperwork or documentation from the insurance company to support this claim--only their vague internal notes. To make matters worse, I spoke with a "gentleman" from the clinic who mocked me for calling seven times. Why did I call seven times? Maybe because they never called me back! Unbelievable. This clinic has demonstrated a complete lack of care, professionalism, and respect for patients' medical conditions and time. I do NOT recommend this clinic. read more

This review has been long overdue but as the clinic keeps calling me to schedule a follow up visit I feel the need to post. I initially made an appointment after being discharged from the hospital with a new diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. My PCP advised me to take any appointment I can get that can get me in the earliest so I can be put on a treatment plan as most know it is not easy to get in with a neurologist. After arriving I sent my imaging over and was seen by Dr. Branko Huisa, the founder of the clinic, was running late, didn't look at my imaging prior to coming in the room. Once in he had very little to say that was of value to a newly diagnosed patient, At one point he was on his computer and told me he was asking chat GPT for recommendation for medication. I waited longer in the room than I did with the doctor, I believe he spent maybe 10 minutes with me...thankfully a UCSD neurologist I had been wanting to see had a cancellation so I was able to go see her. She ran multiple tests in office and talked with me for over an hour, I was blown away at the difference in care and attention to detail. needless to say I did not follow up with the neuron clinic "doctor" read more

After waiting a few months of no follow up, I'm writing a review. I was referred to this clinic by a local podiatrist for foot pain. My first impression of the staff upon arrival wasn't great: no one can apparently smile at the front desk. The 2 ladies that were up front were not even welcoming. I did see a doctor after waiting almost an hour. The doctor was nice enough, gave me some information and suggested I get special tests done. However, this was back in March. It is now August and I have yet to hear from the clinic. But then again, something is wrong with their phones (apparently an ongoing issue), so I don't expect to actually hear from anyone. read more

I had to change neurologists due to an insurance change. I saw Vanessa Nguyen, FNP. My insurance is fighting against me to not approve a med that I need for chronic migraines. Vanessa and the team have been fighting for me to get this approved. I'm so appreciative of this, whether I get it approved or not. I can see how much they care. At my appointment, Vanessa spent so much time with me, and it felt like I had been going to her for years because she is so down to earth and kind. She had new ideas for me to try and I'm excited about trying these, since my current migraine treatment hasn't been working for a while now. this place is a nightmare. the staff are so rude and never answer the phone. if you do call, don't do it after 4 pm - they will put you on hold until 5 pm and let it roll over to voicemail. unsurprisingly they never return phone calls. they also don't return emails and rarely respond to portal messages. worst medical office service I've ever experienced. read more

I am going to start this review by saying I am a disabled proud Marine that goes to the VA. Because the VA is so overwhelmed and understaffed they sent me out to Community Care. I was supposed to get treatment expedited because the VA could not accommodate me. I have called and left emails for the neuron Clinic at least 10 times. Nobody has gotten back to me and their communication system is the worst I have experienced. It is so disappointing how they treat patients and Veterans and cannot even return a call to set up an appointment. I wish someone that cares about that office would see this review and communicate back to me. Customer service and Communications is getting so bad in this country overall. Great experience overall from the desk help to the doctor. We had a little trouble finding it but once we did it was a great experience. Vanessa helped me and definitely did her homework. She had all the right answers and put me on a new , hopefully better path. I have MS and sometimes people act like they know but she had plenty of knowledge and was quite helpful. The ER doctors and my insurance referred me here. The staff seem very friendly, the website is easy to navigate and they have a patient portal for ease of documents etc. I think this might be a good fit for care and treatment of my current journey back to health ( fingers crossed). I will say they are busy so be a bit patient with them. Will update as things progress. read more

Worthless. Referred us to UC San Diego for a neurological consultation. The referral actually sent us to their radiation oncology center. Had to have our GP correct the diagnosis problem by sending us to UCI. Dr. Huisa spent 2 minutes at the beginning of the visit and NEVER CAME BACK. ESSENTIALLY BLEW US OFF. Best neurologists! I see Dr. Klari Olenski and she is always so kind and listens to your concerns. A lot of it was trial and error until we found what works best for me and she didn't give up. She really takes the time to look over your tests and discusses your options with you. The staff there are all friendly and kind and makes sure you are in the best care possible. Their check in system is quick and efficient and the facility is nice and clean. Even decorating according the holiday or season which I thought was a nice touch! Plenty of parking and seating area has movies playing while you wait. Great place overall for your neurological needs! read more

The front office staff is courteous and the office is clean and nice, the medical assistant was good too. However aleksandra bracey should be terminated. She walks in with a chip on her shoulder, talks down to you and slanders you. She also doesn't like anything that would be considered "holistic". I was sent to this clinic due to an unexplained fainting episode. My experience was awful and I only want to warn others so no one else has to go through the same inconvenience and stress that I did! My appointment was with Aleksandryra Asiedu. As she walks into the appointment room, she begins explaining to me immediately that because I had a fainting episode she is a mandated reporter and is obligated to contact DMV to now have my drivers license suspended. This immediately caused me an immense amount of stress as I explained to her I have a job and kids to take and pick from school everyday, to which she coldly responds, "well so do I" except she's not the one who's having her license be threatened to be taken so I found this response odd and callous! (Just to add, I am not overweight, I am active, young and VERY healthy, much healthier than this woman appeared and I have no history of health issues at all!) After maybe 5 minutes of talking with her she explains that she doesn't think I have anything wrong with me neurologically at all and she says she would like for me to see a cardiologist instead. When I received my EOB from my insurance she billed them for a "Emotional behavior assessment" which I found to be odd and extremely incorrect as I was sent to her for a fainting episode! I went to a cardiologist whom I explained everything to and how I was trying to get cleared by him so my drivers license wouldn't be suspended which he immediately was appalled by and said my one time fainting episode would give no justified reason to have my license suspend as their are people who have a history of seizures whom do not have their license suspended! He found it odd I was told this! In the meantime, I receive a call from the Nueron Clinic asking me to make another appointment with Aleksandrya Asiedu so that she can clear me for the DMV when my license gets suspended I asked for clarification as she told me I didn't need further appointments with her as she referred me to the cardiologist instead! The man said he would get back to me so now I am left again to stress about my drivers license. I verified again through my cardiologist who told me there was absolutely no reason for my license to be taken. A few weeks go by and I receive another call from the Nueron Clinic and I am told Aleksandrya is now requesting for me to have a brain scan. I immediately asked to speak to a office manager and demanded to know if paperwork was submitted to DMV or not, after being placed on hold for a long time I was assured there was no paperwork sent to DMV and everything was fine! Now a whole 2 months pass and yesterday I receive another call from the Nueron Clinic stating that Aleksandrya is now requesting I have a MRI done on my neck!? There is no reason what so ever for her to need a brain scan or MRI of my neck, this woman is clearly only trying to make money at the patient's expense and inconvenience! Why on earth would she tell me in person I did not need any further appointments as she herself stated she didn't believe I had any issues neurologically and then continues to have the office call me to schedule appointments for tests I do not need! I will forever have trust issues with Doctors after this experience and will now ask if they're mandated reporters before ever giving any form of personal information for medical help ever again! This place took a stressful situation and only amplified the stress for me ten-fold! read more

My neurologist appointment went fine; I had an easy consultation, followed by a quick and simple MRI scan on my neck and brain. Due to the results, I was referred to an orthopedic surgeon. I called that office (the orthopedic surgeon) and was told they are no longer in the area. I had my referral redirected with my provider's (IEHP) help to a doctor who ended up not accepting new patients. I (and IEHP) have been trying to contact The Neuron Clinic for a while now, trying to acquire yet another redirection to no avail. This office does not answer or return calls; you will be directed to a mailbox which is essentially a void. Any neurologist can get imaging, and any neurologist can look at imaging results. But one of the things which set neurologists part is customer service. This office is uncontactable; you will be put out of sight and out of mind by this practice the moment you are outside their offices. Please do not go to this clinic; they will not work with you, they will not care for you the minute you are out of sight. I have filed a grievance with my insurance regarding their abandonment, and I encourage others to do the same. read more

It took me 3 months to get in to see the dr. At which point 2 weeks before my apt they called and rescheduled it. Then I go in for my apt and the dr didn't see me till an hour later. The dr I saw was so uncaring, didn't seem to care about any of my symptoms cause my MRI came back normal. Didn't offer to run any other tests or any referrals to see anyone else. The appointment was very awkward. He just sat there and looked at me without any advice. At which point I figured the appointment was over and I got up and said "okay well I guess you're done with me" and walked out or the room. I have never had such a bad appointment with a dr. I'm writing this because I hope that those that read this will boycott this clinic. I would give it a ZERO but they don't have that designation. By the way what I'm going to tell you has happened once before so there is no excuse for it happening again. My wife had an appointment made over 2 months ago with Dr. Huisa. I don't think very highly of him either, but that's for another review. The type of care given here is "no care at all." I use this in both senses of the word, care in terms of general help and care in terms of medical help. To put it simply beyond prescribing drugs, they care not one iota a bout you. Whatever they can squeeze out of Medicare, Thant they do. Now for the specifics, my wife suffers from memory problems, we have taken all the standard tests, which up till now have been declared "inconclusive." However, These tests were both updated and added to over 2 months ago. The June 19th appointment was somehow cancelled to hear the results. We didn't find out about this until we got there. The "office" said they just don't know how that happened. You would think, that after speaking to "MANAGEMENT" they would find a way for him to see us. No such luck, after all, we have only been waiting 2 months plus. They finally agreed to a "TELEHEALTH" appointment with Dr. Huisa. Now we tried their Telehealth system once before. It didn't work. We can't even get a printout of the results of the latest tests. Had they done that, I would have just consulted with another doctor. In short, after 6 plus months with The Neuron Clinic, all they've done is double the dose of the anti depressant that they prescribed for my wife. It has had absolutely no effect simply because she's not depressed. The bottom line is the personnel at this clinic, from the doctor right on down, could give a damn about you as a patient or a person. You're just a dollar sign. read more

I waited several months for an appointment with this clinic. The referral my primary care doctor put in was for Neuropsych testing. When I first called to schedule my appointment, they tried to schedule me for a overbooked appointment which they did disclose but they wanted me to verbally agreed to wait up to an hour past my appointment. I politely declined and asked for a date that was not overbooked even though it was a couple more months out. Finally, the day of my appointment came and I saw a doctor for all of five minutes. While she was friendly and professional, instead of administering a memory screening her self, she had her medical assistant do it who is very hard to understand. The doctor also very quickly dismissed all of my concerns even though she was polite I still feel like she did not take any time to get to know me or understand what was really going on before she was right back out the door when I inquired about the testing that I was expecting to have done. She stated that that was not something they do there. She did mention she even saw on the referral that was what we were supposed to be doing but no one cared enough to inform me that they would not be able to do with the referral stated, but yet they still will bill for this appointment. Overall, it was a huge waste of my time, and a step back towards finding out what's actually going on with me. I understand that most specialists don't spend a whole lot of time but to be told that all my problems are just stress is such a stereotypical response to say to women and I felt very written off. This is why women are under diagnosed with medical problems. No one listens to us. read more

Initially seen by one provider then referred to a different one that conducted an EMG test. It took more than 2 months and multiple phone calls to get a schedule to have my results and when it came, the Nurse Practitioner was late to the Telehealth appointment. I was informed that they were having connection issues. I was able to see and hear the Nurse Practitioner but apparently she couldn't hear me. I was told to just go and make an appointment to see them in person however, their availability is still several weeks away. I am going to verify with the doctor insurance to ensure that no charges were made involving this Telehealth appointment due to the NP being late and was not able to properly conduct the Telehealth. It's disappointing to say the least. Its been 6 months since I first visited and still have yet to hear what outcome of my studies! read more

Their automated office reply would call me back almost every week confirming my appointment after I had canceled. It took over a month and several phone calls to get off their list to stop calling.
