Depending on how much you wanted ti spend on the card was dependent on your meal. It's easy to drop $40 if you aren't careful so we got our meal for 2.99. We had the chicken and fries, pulled pork and Buffalo wrap. Everyone's food was good and hot. The wait seemed a little long but again they were busy and I only saw three girls working. After dinner we played games. Some of the employees outside the restaurant were lacking people skills. Not too friendly. I will say the prize selection was good. Our toddler left happy. I sent an email with questions about our reservation and never received a response. The online booking portal doesn't provide much detail, and while the website has a "Call" option, it wasn't very useful. I received multiple automated reminder emails stressing that we needed to arrive 15 minutes early because race times wouldn't be extended for late arrivals, which is completely understandable. I just wish there had been the same level of attention when it came to responding to customer questions. Once we arrived, the experience was much better. They gave our group a private seating area, which was a nice surprise. Our server was friendly, checked on us periodically, and never pressured us to order food. We chose to have drinks only, and it was nice to relax before and after racing. The simulators were a lot of fun, and everyone in our group enjoyed the experience. The only thing to know is that the races move quickly--you only have about two minutes between sessions to switch drivers, so there's not much time to explore the venue or step away without paying attention to when you're up next. Overall, it was a fun and unique way to celebrate a birthday. We'd definitely come back, although probably as a special once-a-year outing because of the cost. If F1 Arcade improved its communication before events, this easily could have been a five-star experience.

Fun experience, but definitely on the pricey side for the amount of actual racing you get…read more F1 Arcade is a pretty cool F1 racing simulation where you get to drive an F1-style race car on various real F1 tracks. The simulators do a good job of making you feel like you're actually racing--the seat moves and rumbles as you go around the track, accelerate, brake, and presumably make questionable racing decisions. One warning: if you get motion sickness easily, this might not be the activity for you. Between the moving seat and the racing visuals, your brain may start wondering why your body is sitting still while your car is doing 200 mph. The place itself is huge, with 40+ simulators. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were surprised by how empty it was. They also have a bar and serve food, but we were there strictly for the racing. We had a party of 4, so we did the team racing option and were given two simulators. Each of us got three races, and the system paired us up differently for each race, so everyone got a chance to race against everyone else. That part was actually pretty fun and made it feel more competitive. The downside is that the races are REALLY short--about 3 minutes each. So for roughly $30 per person, we each got only about 10 minutes of actual racing time across the three races. Once you factor in getting everyone set up and waiting between races, our entire visit was under an hour. The staff was friendly and did a good job explaining how the simulators work and how to check when your next race was starting, so the whole process was pretty easy. Overall, this was a fun experience, especially if you're an F1 fan or enjoy racing games. The simulators are definitely more immersive than playing a racing game at home. That said, the price is hard to overlook considering how little actual driving time you get. We had a good time, but at around $30 per person for about 10 minutes of racing, this is probably a "do it once for the experience" kind of activity rather than something we'd do regularly.

This is a small business running this arcade and it was a great experience. The age range of us are young adults around 18 and older. And the arcade games were fun for us as adults, so you can imagine your child would love it too. Please keep in mind we did not try the following: food, baseball cage, or mini golf area. The games are like a snippet in the past. There are SpongeBob related games which feels like the 90's in the arcade. A lot of the games are ball-based or involve hitting your target. This is a refreshing difference of modern games which are very screen-based. The staff were amazingly friendly! They did a great job with working with us and many parents and kids coming in and out. There were a few ticket machine problems but the situations were rectified quickly. Also the staff gave tips and tricks for which games were most fun to play. Are there better places to play pinball? Maybe. Okay, yes…read more Assuredly. But I drove hundreds of miles out of my way just to come here and play pinball. Why? They have a Rick & Morty machine. Thank you Pinball Maps for leading the way! The hardest part about playing pinball here is finding an entrance to the dead/dying mall in which it's located. The anchor stores are mostly closed. The mall road encircling the building is in disrepair. Signage isn't great. But once inside I appreciated the low level of lighting to minimize any glare on the glass. The machines were loud enough to hear all the call outs, which is also not always the case. I have to say, I've never been a fan of the swipe card system of payment. And I prefer arcades where there is an on staff attendant. However when I had an issue with one of the machines, I saw there was a number to text, so I put it to the test. Almost instantly I was in touch with a person who was able to remotely turn off the broken machine and put replacement credits on my swipe card. That's great service, especially considering the person was remote. They said they would be in the next morning to fix the machine. And guess what? They were! I probably should have let him know that the switch in the Rick and Morty garage did not seem to be functional. But the last thing I wanted was for that machine to go off line. I'd rather play a slightly befouled version of that game than not get to play at all. Anyhow, consider yourself lucky if you live within the area. Finding someone who takes pride in their machines, is harder than one might imagine. There's a good mix of new and old tables, all for a dollar a pop. Certainly this is way more fun than those other blinking lights, bells, and whistles at the casino in town. One can either throw their money down the toilet, or scrape together a few quarters and learn the ins and outs of pinball. Just make sure not to come hungry. The food court in the mall is a bit of a ghost town. But fortunately Old Forge Pizza is just a short drive away.

Timeline Arcade is a retro arcade in downtown York. Parking depends on the time of day with options…read moreon both the street and local garages, but don't be surprised if you have to walk a few blocks. Timeline is like most current retro arcades, you pay X amount per hour for unlimited plays, and you pay when entering. The entry fee for an hour is very reasonable. The arcade is reasonably large and is spread across two rooms. Selection includes retro arcade machines, pinball machines, consoles, and other gaming items. Timeline does get newer Stern pinball machines like JAWS and Star Wars: Fall of the Empire, on top of a handful of older machines like Spy Hunter and White Water. The selection of general arcade machines is good, with machines like Spy Hunter, Coors Light Bowling, Rampage World Tour, and Revolution X catching my interest. Several TV's and couches are available for console gaming. Timeline has some problems however. They need to more clearly define the BYOB policy in its public facing information. From experience, BYOB here means "mancan/tallboy" sized drinks IE larger cans. The bigger issue is the machine maintenance problems which have gotten worse over time. I've run into several issues with machines not working, and during my last visit a bunch in the back room were out of order. Some of the machines at Timeline are clearly B or C grade machines, and simply do not play as better examples would. Is Timeline still worth a visit? Yes. It remains one of the better retro arcades in Pennsylvania, but there are better out there including in surrounding states like New Jersey.
