Food was amazing. Service was delightful. Peruvian fusion. We highly recommend. Try the Lomo a lo Pobre with the plantain!!!

I was reluctant to post a review since my boyfriend already did, however, I feel like I should give my expirence. Believe me, I got so excited when I saw the picture of the Banana Walnut Pancakes on the menu! I wanted it to be amazing. The truth is what I was served was not what was advertised. When I cut into it there was a googy mass of bananas cooked into the pancake. This just wasn't appetizing. There was no apology, but I did get a replacement French toast. Overall, the food was not as good as the reviews made it seem. I wanted to have a cute little breakfast date and our plans were soured from the whole thing. I left very disappointed.

I assume we all know Tops Diner, the Ritz Diner, or the Summit Diner. My girlfriend and I decided to try out this new place due to the reviews and also because being in Orange. It was right down the road. First off, my eggs benedict were fine, nothing special. The hollandaise sauce was not done properly which is understandable, but sad. It was waay too yellow in color. However, the real kicker was my girlfriend's BANANA WALNUT PANCAKES. I'm not an pancake expert, but apparently these pancakes are supposed to have the bananas on TOP and NOT cooked inside the actual pancake. It results in a soggy water saturated pancake as seen in the photo provided. Apparently the photo in the menu on their Ipad showed a picture with how the pancakes should've been prepared. I asked if it was normal for the picture on their menu to look different than the actual dish. The waitress took a few minutes to look at the menu and came back saying "those photos were prepared in a rush when they were taken". I simply replied "I'm sorry but that's not an acceptable excuse, this is your menu and this isn't what's on your menu". No apology for the misunderstanding or an offer to get us something else. Obviously after it was clear there was a misunderstanding. I was sure something else was brought out to us. All in all, mediocre food and service with slightly deceiving menu. However, the bottled orange juice was delicious and the English muffins were toasted perfectly

The service here is incredible! It is a cute, welcoming, and small location. There's a bar with a few tables. The chef was so attentive and made sure that everyone was being helped. The food is affordable and delicious. We went here for breakfast. I had the tres leche pancakes which were fluffy and delicious and served with fresh strawberries and bananas. There could have been more tres leche, but it was still wonderful. I also got the breakfast potatoes which were very yummy. My date got a cheese omelette with breakfast potatoes. He said the omelette was the perfect size. We will definitely be coming back here! The food was delicious and prices were reasonable. I would also go back just for the service.

5* from a fellow Peruvian. Lomo Saltado was flavorful and rich and the tallarin was al dente and perfect. Also - the CHICHA was *chefs kiss*. I'll be back again to try the non-Peruvian dishes but highly recommend compared to other Peruvian restaurants in the Newark area.

I had a great breakfast at the new West Orange diner. Corned Beef hash is one of my favorite breakfast meals so my niece and I both ordered the same thing - and my over medium eggs were over medium, which was a pleasant surprise! That's a hard thing for chefs to get right. The corn beef was simply delicious, and the service was great! Good diner ambiance and nice wait staff. The only thing I did not like was the smoothie. I ordered the Hawaiian smoothie, which was pineapple, mango, and papaya with almond milk but it tasted like a coconut milk and left a slightly bitter aftertaste (maybe they use that as the base?). The presentation of the smoothie was superfun, but the flavor was just off, I tasted no pineapple or mango. Would I go there again? Absolutely! I just won't get a smoothie. And yes, I wouldn't order the Corned beef again If you want if you want a great smoothie, go down to Yeshi's on Washington- less than a half a mile away for great smoothies and juices.

Went over for brunch and loved every dish and drink we ordered. So delicious! Felt at home with the service as well! Such a cute place too!

    Banana Walnut Pancake

I was actually at The New West Orange Diner the same day, and I ordered the exact same Banana Walnut Pancakes. The review written above is completely misleading. As you can see in my photo, the pancakes are served with the bananas on top, exactly as shown on the menu. They were perfectly cooked -- fluffy, warm, and not soggy at all. The ingredients tasted fresh and the presentation was beautiful. On top of that, the staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely human -- they made the whole experience even better. I truly enjoyed my meal and had a great experience overall. It's disappointing to see false reviews that don't reflect the quality, honesty, and effort of this place.

This place is newly opened. It was recommended by a local. It is a small location but we called ahead to let them know we would be a large party. It was very early in the morning but they were ready to serve our party of 8. They were very cordial and attentive. The breakfasts were well made. My daughter said her fresh pineapple mango juice was delicious. The portion sizes were good. We couldn't finish the plate. All in all a great place for a good breakfast. Decently priced as well.

My dad is a regular here, and he brought me for brunch while I was visiting from California. Food was AMAZING and they treated my dad like family. I will come here again every time I visit!!!!

Southwest breakfast delight! This food was absolutely fantastic. Quick and friendly service. The coffee was great, ordered an omelette and the classic Colombia breakfast. Everything was cooked well, great portion sizes. Open kitchen and very clean. It is a smaller restaurant so I could see it getting busy, but we were there on a Monday morning around around 10am and had the place to ourselves. Everyone needs to try this restaurant.

It's so nice to see West Orange's Main Street getting busy with quality stores and restaurants. For sure this Diner is one of them. First time here, definitely cozy, cute bistro tables and chairs. Menu is typical diner food with a twist. Enjoyed the tres leches pancakes, corned beef definitely tastes homemade-try it with their own hot sauce, yum! Prices are very reasonable, they do change you for the credit card fee. Our meal was only $25, filled our bellies plus took home leftovers. The Chef and his staff are attentive and friendly, they have the makings of being successful.

Chip City is a franchise that specializes in baking cookies with a soft, gooey center. The Montclair location is on a busy main street. Street parking is difficult to find during peak hours. It's conveniently open until 1AM on weeknights and 3AM on weekends! When I walked in, I couldn't get over how cute and bright the store was. It's small with very limited seating. To whoever is in charge of the marketing, design, and logos... kudos to you! A very sweet and friendly employee answered all of my questions and helped me out. Since I came much later in the evening, I was worried there wouldn't be that many cookies available, but I was wrong. There were plenty AND they were still fresh too! They offer classic flavors as well as seasonal and specialty ones. Flavors are rotated weekly and you can check the website for the line-up. Dairy free options are available. There's a ton of creative flavors, so don't miss out! In addition to regular cookies, they also sell crookies (croissant/cookie hybrid), cretzels (croissant/pretzel/cookie hybrid), ice cream, and merchandise! Each cookie is around $5+, but trust me... they are dense, large, and can be shared with other people. Did I want to buy 4? Yes... but I have self control (sometimes) LOL, so I stuck with buying a classic Cookies N' Cream. It has a buttery sugar cookie base loaded with crushed chocolate cookie sandwiches and creamy white chocolate - basically tastes like an Oreo milkshake! What I love about these cookies is that they don't just taste like a giant blob of sugar. You can actually appreciate and distinguish between the different flavors and ingredients. If you prefer crispy/crunchy cookies, you probably won't be a fan. If you enjoy cookies with a slightly crunchy exterior, but a soft, warm, ooey, gooey (almost raw-like) interior, Chip City is for you! Every bite is sweet & decadent, but not overwhelming. Don't forget to sign up for their rewards program to get discounts and freebies! GET GOOEY!!!
