We were greeted by the super friendly staff and felt the warmth of the cafe. I got an iced pistachio latte w/ oat milk and loved the tall glass mug it came in. The ice cubes were perfect for an iced beverage. My husband said the cappuccino was a bit weak but it looked good. The wellness bar hit the spot and was most and delicious. We also split the chocolate chip banana bread which they warmed up to make it super yummy. Stop in and share a coffee or pastry with friends. There were also people doing homework or holding meetings. Plenty of room for everyone! The lights and soft music make it cozy and relaxing. read more

I don't know why I don't come here more often, but for someone who lives in the town next door, I should frequent this place more. With a vibrant interior and welcoming atmosphere, the Twisted Tulip should not be skipped. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of folks working on laptops. This is the perfect place to curl up with a beverage of choice, little snack, and buckle down to get some work done. Despite the amount of people, the noise volume was moderate. Service was good, but a little brisk. The interior is decorated with various pieces of art and there are dog treats in the front for your pet. The exterior has outdoor seating which is really nice. I got the pistachio macaron which was the perfect texture, but a bit lacking in flavor. I also got the pumpkin marshmallow latter which was surprisingly not that sweet to my relief. It really hit that pumpkin flavor spot. Price point was $10 with $1 tip, pretty standard for this area. In my previous visits, I got the chai latte which I thoroughly enjoyed. This is the perfect hang out spot for group projects or for getting work done. Can't recommend enough. read more

Ordered a matcha latte which was gross. It had chunks of matcha powder not mixed in and had too much powder in overall. The taste was way too bitter and strong. I even added vanilla syrup, which did not help at all. The lady making my drink was slightly rude, and seemed to not want to be there. The vibe was okay. Will not be coming back. read more

My girlfriend and I had some time to kill before dinner so we decided to have some coffee at The Twisted Tulip. I ordered a Lavender Basil Latte which was the drink of the day while my girlfriend got an Americano. We got cinnamon walnut pound cake and chocolate chip banana bread too. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and our orders were made quickly. The space is actually pretty big, especially for a cafe. I like that they have outdoor seating too but it was pretty dark, wet, and dreary out on the day we came. The lavender basil latte was fantastic and so were the baked goods. In fact I think it was some of the best banana bread I've ever had. My girlfriend seemed pleased by her Americano. Prices are in-line with other cafes. This month, my husband and I were on a mini-mission - hit up a new coffee spot once a week in the month of November. The Twisted Tulip was my favorite cafe - I like its sustainability ethos, the $5 honey cardamom latte I ordered, the artwork and seating spaces, and the overall chill vibe of the place. They also have husband-approved Americano, so I know I can order for us from here whenever. I've stopped in solo a few times since and have not been disappointed. I used to spend a lot of time in the plaza across the road from this shop, and curiously looked out the window at The Twisted Tulip- never having gone in. Such a shame I didn't all those years, it was only when my friend asked me to join her for coffee there recently that I came in for the first time. Came with 3 ultra picky people, 2 of whom don't like coffeehouses. Everyone loved their orders. I got a pumpkin cold brew with oat milk, which is cold brew flavored with their house-made pumpkin syrup. The house-made pumpkin syrup tasted fresh and was a clean pumpkin flavor v. A pumpkin spice. The cold brew was smooth. I appreciated that the drink tasted of both coffee and pumpkin v. something insanely sweet. A friend got a cold brew with cream and the others got decaf coffee. For treats we had a blueberry muffin and the lemon poundcake. My friend faved about the blueberry muffin and mentioned repeatedly all the fresh blueberries that were in it. They warmed it which was a nice touch. They have a lovely outdoor seating area with umbrellas, which is where we sat b/c we brought our dog. They have free dog treats, WiFi that works very well and lots of parking. They're located in the shopping complex with Aldis and Paris Baguette. read more

Really excellent drinks! I had an iced jasmine green tea. I didn't plan on eating, but the empanadas looked so good that I had to try the cheese ones. What an amazing little coffee cafe in Livingston! It's right across from Starbucks but this is so much better! Ample seatings to hang out and work. Great friendly staff! WiFi works perfectly! There are board games and some childrens books for customer! I had a chai latte with soy milk but they don't have soy which was a little bit surprising. But the drink was good and I enjoyed it! I finally had the chance to visit The Twisted Tulip on an early Saturday morning. While the shop itself has charm, the layout feels a bit cramped, and I think there are better ways to organize the entrance and line flow. Luckily, my SO and I didn't have to wait long to place our order, but with only two employees working, it wasn't ideal for a busy Saturday morning. The staff's service was somewhat indifferent--not a huge deal, but it did set the tone for the experience. We decided to sit outside and enjoy our coffee and treats rather than take them to go, but because of the limited staff, we had quite a wait. That said, the coffee was decent, and I really enjoyed my gluten-free oat cookie. I also noticed they offer coffee flights, which I'd be open to trying if I return. read more

I see this place when we pass by. I have never stopped in until today. First I thought they only Sold tea. However, much to my surprise they have coffee too. There are other shops nearby that we had visited and it was time to compare. The mocha latte was very good. Tasty in all the right ways without over powering with the mocha. My husband had the chai tea and he said it was good too. My Son ordered the cheese empanada. Now that one did hurt because by where we live they only cost $2 and not $5. The barista was helpful in answering any questions we had. We sat in the new area while we waited. We played a couple rounds of tic tac toe. I stumbled upon The Twisted Tulip a couple of years ago when I was searching for a local coffee shop for a networking meeting. I was pleasantly surprised by the vibrant atmosphere and phenomenal structure/layout/decor. They offer a wide variety of creative drinks as well as those you would expect from Starbucks, but much better quality and normally the drinks are cheaper than Starbucks as well! Additionally, the large amount of milk substitutes available brings me great joy. The baked goods are also next level. My boyfriend loves the chocolate chip cookies, and a friend of mine who is vegan really enjoys the snickerdoodle cookies. All of the staff members I have met are extremely friendly and will readily inform you of new menu items or personal favorites if you ask. Service is also very fast. I hope this cafe will continue to flourish! You should definitely check it out the next time you're craving a good cup of coffee, a homey atmosphere, and really great service + food/drink quality! read more

Went on a Saturday afternoon and saw people working, reading, catching up with friends and even a few parents and toddlers come through to play some games that are out for use. While driving trying to find another restaurant yesterday, I passed The Twisted Tulip. Today, I made time to stop in here. This is a very cool coffeehouse. It reminds me of a place you'd find in Brooklyn. There's a great selection and you can tell they take their coffee seriously here. I chose the "coffee of the week" for my first time here. This gingerbread vanilla latte was excellent! Everyone here was very friendly. I'm guessing these were the owners. There's a punch card for frequent guests. This spot has a big parking lot. It is in a complex but separate from the other stores like Aldi and Hand and stone. There is plenty of space inside, the other room is so spacious and nice. There are outdoor tables as well if the weather is nice. The dirty chai with oat milk is delicious. Perfect spice and just right caffeine. The scones here are delicious as well. I have driven passed this place more times than I can count on my way to the mall so I decided one day just to stop in. Well I was definitely happy I did because I had the best time, I ordered a Cortado and an everything croissant and walked around look at all the beautiful paintings on the wall while I waited. I'm a sucker for a cool artwork anywhere so this really made me excited to see inside of a small coffee shop. They heated up the croissant for me and it was flaky buttery and delicious oh my gosh it was so good, my Cortado was so strong wow it had the prettiest design on top with the foam and after I was done drinking it it really opened up my eyes. This is our favorite local coffee shop. It is directly opposite Starbucks. And it does coffee, tea and snacks that are just super special. The quality is amazing. They custom make their own syrups. The drink menu is inventive and the baristas are amazing! Love the vibe when you walk in. Great adjacent space to hang out. Jazz on Sunday in the spring and summer is a winner. And they are just so community minded with many initiatives at the shop. Love love love the owners and the staff. Run don't walk here. And please, never ever go across the street. I have a Peanut Butter Raisin (and/or Cranberry?) Oats Sunflower Seed mix (probably another ingredient or so) in the form of balls: the balls are sweet, subtly crunchy, a dry, and somewhat of a filling hold over snack. If I'm in the area again, I may stop in. Customer service is on point; friendly, helpful, and adds to (during my visit) a chill though upbeat atmosphere. Cant get over how their Jasmine Latte was so good! As I write this review, today would be my third time visiting The Twisted Tulip (and counting!) and I leave caffeinated and satisfied every time. It almost sounds like an addiction but I truly just enjoy their coffee. Their lattes to be exact. I must try to explore other drinks on the menu but i'am currently hooked with their latte. Nice body of espresso and beautiful balance of milk (or oatmilk, either way both are delicious). Their flavored syrups are delectable and as usual, i try to get a different one every visit just to explore and expand my latte tastebuds. They sell coffee by the bags as well and they offer a nice selection of teas. Im happy they have indoor seating at present as I get to enjoy coffee right then and there presented in their colorful ceramic cups. Great place to study or work! There's plenty of comfortable seating in their side room that is pretty quiet. The pastries are drinks were delicious. I would definitely suggest bringing a laptop or a good book, and getting the latte flight (4 flavors of lattes to choose)! Plenty of parking since it's located in a strip mall. This is one of my top locations for getting some work done all while enjoying some good food and drinks. read more

I had a vanilla cortado in a glass. It was epic. Smooth as a baby's bottom, with an elegant and balanced bitterness. Honestly one of the best cortado's I've ever had, and I've had them from literally dozens of different coffee shops. The baristas were also very friendly. Big thumbs up. read more

COVID TIME INDOOR REVIEW: This past Saturday afternoon was the first time I got to finally try Twisted Tulip after hearing about it from others for the longest time. Definitely not disappointed! The two workers who were there (male and female) were wearing masks and were really friendly to me. I had trouble deciding what to order and they answered my questions and also gave me suggestions based on what I was wanting to drink. I personally ordered a drip coffee with autumn spice syrup (the seasonal syrup) and whole milk, and then ordered a drink to go for my boyfriend (not pictured). Since he really likes milky drinks, the batista recommended a latte so I went for a latte with vanilla bean syrup and whole milk. Needless to say, he loved it. My friend ordered a matcha latte which was adorable and had a really strong matcha flavor. One thing I really liked was that I ordered everything at once but I wanted to sit in to finish my coffee, so she told me to let her know when I'm leaving so she can make the latte to go order fresh and hot for when I leave. It was my first time being in this area because I had a doctor appointment. I decided to yelp a cafe near where I was. I came across couple of them, but this one the one that caught my attention. I wanted to try their nitro cold brew, however the lady said their nitro machine broke down. I asked her for recommendation and she recommended me the iced latte with half vanilla syrup and half honey caramel syrup (I think lol) and I always get my coffee with oat milk. I also ordered their spinach quiche. The coffee was good, 8.5/10 (because I've tasted something much better) and the spinach quiche was so good too, 9/10. They have lots of seating inside but I chose to sit outside to enjoy the fresh air and sun. The employee was also nice, the place is clean, overall, I really like this coffee shop. The only downside for me is that, I feel like the interior could be a little more bit more aesthetic. More to a crisp, clean design (if that make sense) just because the name of the place is "the twisted tulip," it should be more to elegant, sweet, "garden-ni" side instead of steet style side. But again, this is my opinion and my preference. Overall, I definitely would come back and definitely would recommend this place! read more
