Wow I kind of love this place, like a lot. First of all, this place has such a cute interior with a decent amount of tables. I think it's best to go alone or with a group smaller than four. First of all, I go the warmest welcome from the Barista. She was so welcoming. I got a Chai Latte and the Almond Ricotta Cake, both were incredibly delicious. I cannot recommend the Almond Ricotta Cake enough, I even got one to-go. The food looks incredible, and I'll definitely have to go back for breakfast or lunch. It was crowded when I went in the afternoon and I asked the Barista the best time to come and she said before 11 especially on weekends. I got a seat at the counter which overlooks the park which was really lovely. This place attracts such a diverse crowd which I also really love. Volume is moderate which means it is great for doing work, reading, or catching up with a friend. I will definitely go back and give an updated review after I try the food. Stopped into Dolce Marie in Verona to get some work done and had a great experience. The iced coffee was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect for focusing on my tasks. It's a cozy, small cafe with a welcoming vibe. Maybe next time I'll try the food--looking forward to it! read more

Delicious gluten-free lunch! Cute and quaint decor. They have a GF bread option that tastes delicious and not like Udi's or cardboard. Cute very small cafe off Bloomfield ave. Parking is in front on the street so it can pose an issue when it's a busy day. Ordered an omelet which felt homemade in a good way but lacked much beyond that in terms of flavor. The scone was delightful as was the coffee. Came here with my two girlfriends to just catch up and chat. The latte I had was one of the best latte's I have ever had (even til now). The owners are super sweet and friendly and the decoration is quite dainty. The seating is a little awkward since there isn't that many places to sit but it's nice on the off days because we can just sit and chat (they have wifi and outlets too). Parking is hard but we just parked across the street in a lot, but there are street parking too. Overall, this is a nice and quaint place that I recommend to those who want a place to just destress and relax or just do work without the crazy busy-ness that other cafes have. While delicious it is definitely something you need to eat fresh and not to go. Eggs don't save well but that's to be expected. Really excited to try this place, but disappointed. Driving in from the next town over and anding at a few minutes after 7:30am when Dolce Marie opens, I was told that we could not order the Frittata or the savory Egg Sandwich on Brioche Bun because "the kitchen doesn't open until 8." I mean who does that? Since hubby and I had to go to work I got coffees to go (along with a limp apology from the guy behind the counter) and took our breakfast bellies at the bagel shop down the street. The last two times; however, my wife and I have stopped by for an egg sandwich - which, without hyperbole, have been the best egg sandwiches we have ever tasted. I came to Dolce Marie for the coffee and stayed for the pastries. I come back regularly for both! Easily the best cup of coffee on all of Bloomfield ave; I take a red-eye. But what really makes this place special is Marie's pastries: Biscottis, scones, crumb cakes, ricotta cookies, and always a special or two. The cream puff is better than your Nonna's. I've had the frittata and the bacon, egg & cheese for breakfast. Both were very good and now I have a hard time choosing between the two. The tuna salad is my go to. It's always fresh, has little capers in it for a balance that I love, and it's made with the best french baguette you can get in NJ. The perfect little café to compliment Verona with an amazing corner view of the park. The Lavazza espresso and cappuccinos were perfectly prepared and the brunch offerings were amazing. We had their eggs prepared anyway (over easy was cooked just right) and the veggie panini was spot on. Great bread nicely toasted with a great pesto to balance the cheese and veggies. I've been meaning to try this place for awhile. I had a turkey panini which had mozzarella and sun dried tomato jam on a gluten free bread. I also had a cappuccino. The sandwich and cappuccino were good. The place is small. There are about 8-9 tables. The look of the cafe is about average. It really doesn't stand out. I think it's an ok place for someone living in Verona that is close to the cafe. For someone who comes from a nearby town, I wouldn't recommend this place due to parking. The municipal parking is a bit far from the cafe. As a result, Dolce Marie doesn't stand out enough to drive to and find parking. It just seems like it's there and doesn't have that factor of making you want to come back if you live in a different town. read more

My husband and I drive by here since we moved to the area. Stopped for an espresso and hot chocolate and saw sandwiches coming out of the kitchen so we decided to stay for lunch. Escarole and bean soup was the special of the day and was outstanding. Turkey panini and BLT panini were incredible. Both prepared on the tastiest and toastiest bread ever! Side green salad was fresh and not over-dressed. Service was friendly and fun, and we had to leave with biscotti, banana bread and ricotta cookies for a "to go" snack.
