Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! The experience began on the phone when making a reservation. The young lady on the phone was just as bubbly in person. First, I started with a green apple mocktail and then I went right into the three course tasting menu and it did not disappoint. The food, ambiance and music playing at the jazz wine bar directly across the street made the experience extra special. The staff was wonderful and see for yourself the menu and dishes I had. This restaurant has a well earned Michelin star that you have to experience. Enjoy!

An excellent resturant with an intimate feel, exceptional menu, and attentive service. We chose to enjoy the Chef's Choice menu with accompanying wine which was designed for sharing between a couple. From the beginning, we were guided along our eating adventure by a helpful staff that kept the selections coming at a well thought out pace. Each course was preceded by an introduction to the accompanying wine with an explanation on how it should fit well within the flavor profile of the upcoming treat. The parings never disappointed and the overall dining was perfect for what we expected. The price point was great for a Michelin Star restaurant experience without breaking the bank. All of the food was presented well, tasted even better, and most importantly, left us fully satisfied when the evening concluded. I fully encourage anyone looking for fine dining at a reasonable price point for all of us "normies"that doesn't sacrifice the skill and flavor that one would expect in great food and presentation.

Phenomenal experience. Everything from the exceptional service (so friendly!) to the INCREDIBLE food. Couldn't tell you what was the best thing I ate cause it was all just so deliciously and beautifully done. My friends even bought me a bottle for my 30th and the 9th staff did such a great job with presenting it to me. Love the ambiance and rawness of the decorations with the exposed brick and metals. Fantastic spot for a somewhat affordable Michelin experience. 10/10 will be back next time I'm in London!!!

Wonderful restaurant in the heart of Londons restaurant district. A beautiful visual combination of rustic meets industrial as soon as you enter. Bistro style seating immediately creates a more relaxed Michelin atmosphere while keeping the same service and culinary excellence as the stuffiest French restaurant. The food was a lovely combination of fusion of Italian meets Asian. My favorite dish of the night was yellowtail perfectly sliced topped with thin slices of Meyer lemon, and pickled white asparagus that was shaved post pickle. The contrast between tart and sweet was perfectly balanced finished with a broken vinaigrette sat in a brodo like mixture. We also really enjoyed the Imberico pork with a variations of ramps, garlic, in an absolutely stunning pork jus. We chose to include the wine pairing which was substantial and uniquely laid out with grapes from a variety of regions throughout the globe perfectly described by our friendly Sommelier. When in London The ninth is a must for those looking for great food, welcoming staff, and beautifully curated libations

    pain perdu

Affordable one Michelin star experience. The signature pain perdu was delicious, with an extremely soft and milky inside with a well caramelized sugar coating. The vanilla ice cream with crumbles was nothing special, good to pair with the hot toast though. The lamb chop was well charred and super juicy & tender. However, the sweet mint & anchovy dressing on the lamb chop was not a very good pairing with the lamb, amplifying the smell, would suggest pairing it with the broccolinis. Environment was okay with mostly open air but not air conditioning. They took quite a while to cook the lamb so I finished the dessert first.

Roast cod, 'nduja (spreadable pork sausage), panisse and artichokes - just like the fish-and-chips down the street. 2022 04 01. M1.

A relatively new (5 years) restaurant in Fitzrovia that seems to be doing very well, post-Covid. A bit small, with only two dozen seats and maybe another half-dozen at the tiny bar, but this allows the competent staff easy control of the simply decorated room. I decided on a seafood meal, selecting smoked eel and panisse (chickpea cake), flamed mackerel with kohlrabi and lemon, roast cod with artichoke and more parnisse in a "fish-and-chips" display, and finishing with cheesecake with poached rhubarb. I only think that the sommelier could had been a bit more helpful with my wine selection, instead of allowing me to select just a single bottle. I really enjoy the open kitchen concept, but the building's footprint here is far too small, all the food appears via dumbwaiter behind the bar. The enthusiastic servers, the flavors of each dish, the simple, effective plating means I'll have to return. And soon. 2022 04 01. M1.

    Salted beef cheek and tongue

French cuisine with a Mediterranean twist that earned a Michelin star. They were closed for almost a year due to a fire but reopened earlier this month. Everything was incredible. The salted beef cheek & tongue and pain perdu (dessert) were the highlight. The spaghetti was also amazing as well. Also don't sleep on the cocktails.

The beet tart topped with butter, this was our favorite dish of the whole meal!

We had a lovely dinner, sitting at the bar with a last-minute reservation made online. I went for a medley of small plates, which each packed a beautiful composition of flavors: The beetroot tart was scrumptious, the foie gras pasta was a nice mix of surf and turf & the oyster with horse radish was very refreshing. The Pan Perdu is like soft custard on the inside, and a crispy gooey shell on the outside, a to-die-for dessert experience, glad we listened to the staff recommendation! A perfect meal for a perfect date! We can see why this place has earned a Michelin star.

I can't stop recommending this place. We had such an awesome time and the food was so amazing. The service was on point, they made you feel as the only one on the restaurant and everyone had a smile all the time. The combination of flavours and the attention to detail on the dishes was from another planet. They 100% deserve their Michelin star. Don't miss it!

Definitely a must go place !! Ambiance Reminded me of San Francisco. Food was amazing, especially the fish.

The Ninth is a great date spot in London. It has definitely earned its 1 Michelin Star. The bread & butter and orecchiette are absolutely amazing!

We ordered 5 different starters (meze) and then each of us ordered their own main course. The starters were definitely my favourite; in fact - I would recommend future visitors to only order a variety of starters (hot, cold, salads, bakeries) and not even bother with the entrees. These are the starters you may want to go for: Hommos Beiruty, Moutabal Baba Ghanouj, Mouhamara (excellent!), Lahem B'agine & Fattoush Salad. Here's my thoughts on the main courses: one of my friends ordered the sea bass and she said that the cut was very "unfortunate" as she was digging through bones. Usually, she goes, when you cut a fish a certain way, you can actually take out the entire skeleton at once and then enjoy the meat. But maybe this is the Lebanese way of serving the fish? On the upside, when you order meat for a main course, you will be getting heaps of it - the portions are really generous. I, for example, ordered the Chicken Shish Taouk and it was nice. Nevertheless, I suggest you stick with the starters and maybe one chicken dish (which would feed at least two or three). Also, you will find a cover charge on your bill, which "covers" such things as bread and sides of vegetables. Speaking of which, you will find that they place a bowl of fresh vegetables on your table: lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, mini cucumbers, bell pepper & radishes. To be honest, we didn't quite know what to do with them and so we left them mostly untouched. When I slipped away to the bathroom later on, I saw how this salad bowl is supposed to be used: you chop up the veggies and prepare a salad. Doh! The Lebanese beer tastes nice - so I can recommend that as well.

My multi course dinner had all good quality food and was above average and very enjoyable, especially the fish. Certainly plenty to eat! A friend suggested we try out this new cafe by her office and thought it was the perfect day to try it. The shirt rib lunch special is popular so we gave that a try and it was delicious. All of the dishes were presented really well and thought it was such good value for money for the quality of food we were getting. The atmosphere is nice and casual so you can grab a salad or sandwich for a quick bite if you don't want to go for a proper sit down lunch. I'll have to come back and try the salads. Lastly, we had coffee and the sweet potato muffin which was amazing. There aren't many places these days that do proper homemade goods and not the kind that is defrosted! Service was lovely throughout. With wine still in our glasses, and coffee still hot?! Sorry, have to give a HUGE thumbs down on service. And offer my disbelief and dissatisfaction at whoever is managing this restaurant and borrowing from Greek culture, whilst missing out on the key component of Greek dining. Either you're a sell out. Or you're an outsider and you're exploiting Greek culture and cuisine. One the website we get: "MAZI, which means 'together' in Greek", but it should be followed with, "... but don't take too long, we will ask you to leave." Having said all of that, and trying not to affect the rest of the review, food was not great. Mushroom Chicken was the best dish (was the priciest line item - second to their service charge - but the only dish that I was impressed with). Tiger Prawn risotto was very bad (both the prawn, and the risotto). Grilled Octopus was average (size, prep and quality of octopus left a lot to be desired). The Calamari Citrus was also less than average. Lot's of the seafood sadly missed the mark - Tuna Crudo was the most satisfactory of all the seafood items. I will say that the cocktails were prepared well. Including a welcome drink. And the juices were fresh - albeit expensive. In fact, everything was overpriced - but it is London, I get it. Still wish the food tasted better. The atmosphere was loud and energetic. The cherry on top was the service charge (highest line item on the bill). Cheers to ownership and management for appropriating Greek culture and putting a heavy London spin on the dining experience. My family would have had some choice words for you, thankfully they were not present to be insulted. Anyone wanting Greek food, I would recommend to look elsewhere. The culture and cuisine has A LOT to offer, unfortunately Mazi disappointed for us.

Every single dish we had was superb, from the jars of tzatziki and tiropita to the crispy calamari and seabass tartare to start. The fresh bread, which was lightly charred, really paired well with the tzatziki and tiropita which were lightly whipped and so flavorful. The seabass came with a cucumber and jalapeno broth which had just the right amount of spice to elevate the fish. For main we split the lamb and grilled octopus which were both perfectly prepared. The lamb, which appeared to be sous vide, was cooked to an exquisite medium rare and the octopus had a great char both was still tender. The service and setting were both great and we highly recommend this establishment.
