I contacted Grant to help with a few things for my dog and he helped me with so much! We've been working on his separation anxiety so he can become more comfortable and confident alone and on his reactivity towards other dogs. I'd been struggling quite a bit before Grant's help and going on walks and leaving Tintin alone while he remains calm is now possible. Grant is very thorough and understanding, I would highly recommend him if you need any help training your pup!

I can finally walk my pups with confidence! I have been able to do so much more since dog training with Grant. I still have a lot to learn as my pups grow bigger and older and Grant has been there every step of way! Thank you Grant!

We have yet to finish all the training sessions and I have already seen incredible results. I never thought I'd be able to comfortably walk with my pup while there were so many people and other pets around. With just a couple training sessions left we are close to getting my pup off leash! Before training, my pup would react to anything he could see within a couple feet. Now he is able to walk comfortably without being so on edge! Would recommend a million times if i could!

We've had such a great experience working with Grant! Our dog Pepper is a 3-year-old rescue who's sweet but struggled with anxiety and on-leash reactivity. After our very first lesson, we saw her confidence and leash manners improve almost immediately. Now, after about six private lessons, she can walk calmly in heel, her reactivity has improved so much, and she's doing great with her off-leash e-collar training. Grant's energy and positivity make training fun and low-stress. He helped us build our skills and Pepper's confidence in all kinds of environments like Fiesta Island, Liberty Station, and the PB boardwalk, always offering clear, encouraging feedback. He's also incredibly responsive between sessions, his feedback on the videos we send make it easy to stay on track and know we're practicing things correctly at home. We highly recommend Grant to anyone working toward having a calm, confident, and reliable dog. He's the best!

Grant did an outstanding job teaching us how to work with our rescue dog, McCoy. Grant was patient with all of us, a source of encouragement, and pleasant to work with. We recommend him highly.

    Franklin, good dog now!

Absolutely amazing and transformative! Grant is a professional dog trainer and his methods are positive. The results were immediate with my dog Franklin. Grant was recommended by my vet. Franklin was a six month old puppy, and large, when we started working with Grant Noble. He was fearful of men, barked at every dog that walked by our house, jumped up on us, and used his mouth to nip and play. We took him one time to the dog park, and he was mobbed by other dogs, so he lashed out and attacked. That just made him more fearful, and I regretted making that mistake. Franklin would play fight with his brother dog at my house and would not stop unless we physically pulled him off. Finally, he would lash out uncontrollably at other dogs if we passed them on the leash while on a walk. That being said, Franklin was also a very sweet and smart dog, and took to commands quickly. I knew I needed professional help and Grant was the perfect fit! With the combination of private training sessions, group training sessions and a three week period of boarding, Franklin grew into a confident dog and kept his sweet personality! During the boarding, Grant and his staff kept us intimately involved at each stage, teaching us the right way to give commands and reward good behavior. The result of Grant's efforts and training: Franklin listens and obeys his commands immediately. His recall is strong. He no longer jumps up or barks at other dogs while on a walk, at the dog park or in the house. His walking is literally perfect: I never have to put any tension on the leash whatsoever. He walks by my side and responds to treat rewards. If I wanted to walk him off the leash, I could. We opted to train with Grant and Franklin on an E-collar. I have the collar on him and I carry the remote, but I very infrequently have to use it because Franklin's obedience to verbal commands is so outstanding. Grant taught us games and methods to use at home to reinforce Franklin's training. Grant even came to our house to give one of the training sessions. As part of our training package, Grant is available to us for all of Franklin's life. We're able to attend weekend training group sessions and consult him on problems as needed. So far, though, Franklin's training has been outstanding! Thank you, Noble Dogs, for helping Franklin become the best puppy version of himself now. I'm so glad that we invested in your training, Grant! It continues to be amazing.

Grant has been everything we've been looking for in a dog trainer! He's very thorough and makes sure we fully understand each of his lessons on how to better train our dog Luna. We've always wanted to sharpen Luna's offleash skills but since she gets so easily overstimulated and excited, we always thought it'd be impossible. Grant has done an incredible job in only 2 sessions to make sure Luna is getting the proper training - highly recommend!

Grant took the time to listen to all my concerns regarding my golden retriever puppy and broke down the best options to get him on track to better behavior. His explanation of what is going on with my dog made it all make sense.

Great! We got a Golden (our2nd) with no expectations other than a nice family dog. She has the most mild temperament (at 1 1/2) and I recognized quickly she should be a therapy dog. I researched trainers and Grant popped up. Simply amazing!!! He walks you through the steps. When you don't want a prong or e-collar on he uses them on your person so can feel first hand what it feels like for them. (I was against both until Grant). I suppose one of the best recommendations is my 18-year-old daughter, "Mom, I took Maye on a walk (regular collar), and then I took her off leash at Sunset Cliffs. She doesn't pull and when she's off leash she listens and comes when I ask her." We are still working on 'therapy' behavior - she's close - we are still working on crowds, etc, but it's been amazing. Also, she stays in her bed (place) when told. Has really helped with the jumping when we come home. Highly recommend!

I've been meaning to write a review for The Noble Dogs for a long time since Yelp is how I first found Grant! When I first contacted Grant, I was frustrated because we had already tried three other dog trainers/services in two months. There was a lot of behavior that just stuck and that we couldn't get him to stop (stealing my things, not listening to me, fear, reactivity, and separation anxiety during crate training). Many other trainers we tried believed in reversing his reactivity by simply giving him "high value" treats, which did not work. When I called Grant, I was desperate because my dog was not respecting me and I was fearful because he was so out of control. Grant immediately reached out to me and we set up an initial consultation. Before that consultation though, he was so helpful and would offer his advice over text which actually radically transformed our training. After the initial consultation, I was encouraged to see that Grant proved that my rescue dog was very trainable. After the initial consultation, we opted to work with him for six private training sessions. What I like about Grant is the opportunity to train your dog in front of the dogs he boards. We have also attended his group classes during the weekends which have provided him with great exposure and built his confidence. I will admit that you do have to put in a lot of investment, but I believe it paid off. The training exceeded my expectations, and now my dog can confidently be at home crate-trained, behave on walks and manage distractions, and listens to me. Grant taught me how to effectively use tools that other trainers refused to. As a result, I have a much happier and confident dog. He has excellent recall so I can give him freedom to explore. I never intended on training my dog off leash, but now our off-leash time is the highlight of his everyday. I really appreciate that Grant makes himself available during the weekend group classes, as it's helpful if we have a lapse in our training. Grant is the most hard working and effective trainer we've worked with, and really cares about his clients, which I really appreciate. I thought I knew my dog before I talked to Grant, but I was wrong. Thanks to him, I can communicate with my dog.

    Lola being silly

I had the pleasure of meeting with Grant Noble of Noble Dogs today. This was the first consultation session with Grant, and after experiencing failed results with two previous trainers, I was a little apprehensive. However, by the end of our session, I felt renewed confidence and trust in Grant's ability to not only be able to train my 75 lb one year old golden retriever become a balanced and obedient dog, but to teach me brand new techniques to apply myself. Grant gave me instructions that no other trainer ever presented, especially regarding her leash reactivity, lack of impulse control, and territorial barking. I appreciate his compassion and non-judgmental attitude for how my current issues with my golden pup came to be. I am eager to get started teaching my sweet Lola a better way!

We have a 5 month old dachshund named Tucker and before coming to Grant we were going bonkers trying to get him to walk on the leash or be in his crate alone. I'm not here to say grant performs miracles but he teaches you exactly what you need to do to make your dog happier and healthier. We are just 2 training sessions in and seeing a huge improvement in overall obedience and commands with Tucker. We don't need to use fear based approaches to get results and that's my favorite part!! Can't wait to see what's in store for Tucker in the future with the Noble dogs!!

A photo of Grant at a group session about to practice a get it come action, a gentle ease into off leash training as well!

Are they under new ownership? What has changed?…read more We've used Camp Run-A-Mutt several times over the years for overnight boarding and have always had a great experience, which is why this recent stay was so surprising. When making the reservation, I noticed that a few of my dog's vaccinations would expire during his stay. We took care of getting them updated weeks in advance and made sure the vaccination certificates were sent to Camp Run-A-Mutt. I even confirmed with a staff member at the front desk that they had received everything and that my dog was all set for his stay. A few days before our trip, I received a call saying my dog was missing vaccinations. I asked which ones, and of course they were the very vaccinations we had already updated and submitted. I explained that they had the records, the employee put me on hold, then came back and confirmed everything was in order and said they'd see him on Thursday. Then things got even more frustrating. On Thursday, as I was landing in another state for my vacation, my daughter--who was dropping my dog off before catching her own flight--called me in a panic. She was being told they couldn't accept him because his rabies vaccine wasn't up to date. I immediately called the facility and explained that we had already confirmed his records twice. The employee put me on hold, checked the records, and sure enough, they had his current rabies certificate the entire time. They admitted everything was up to date and accepted him. A few days later, while we were still out of state, I received another call saying my dog was being quarantined and separated from the other dogs because his vaccinations supposedly weren't current. At this point, this was the third time in less than a week that the exact same issue had come up. I again explained that his vaccinations were current and that their staff had already confirmed this multiple times. The employee put me on hold and never came back to the phone. Thankfully, my daughter was only a few hours away and was able to rush over and pick him up. When I called to pay for his stay over the phone and let them know he was being picked up, I was initially told they couldn't accept payment over the phone. That was confusing because I've paid over the phone for previous stays without any issue. When I asked if it was a new policy, the employee admitted it wasn't--they just didn't know how to process a phone payment. They had to get someone else to help before I was finally able to pay. I'm honestly not sure what's changed, but the organization and communication were completely different from the excellent service we've received in the past. The repeated confusion over vaccination records--which they already had on file and repeatedly confirmed--caused unnecessary stress while my family was traveling out of state and ultimately resulted in our dog being removed from daycare and picked up early. We've always been happy with Camp Run-A-Mutt, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I hope this was just an isolated breakdown in communication, but based on our recent experience, I no longer feel confident leaving my dog there.
