They have opened their homes and meetings to me and I am grateful. Their Thursday night house meeting is fun to attend and includes people currently living in the sober living as well as alumni who are actively working 12 step programs. It's wonderful to see how many people they have helped at this meeting. Okay so another important thing...the food is incredible. David is a food connoisseur and always has an excellent spread. It doesn't matter if it is catered from a local restaurant or prepared by their personal chef...it's always hearty and delicious. I've had everything from kabob to Honey's Kettle Fried Chicken to pizza to homemade Mac and Cheese with truffle oil and ham...very Southern style...always something yummy! If that's not enough...Janel is an avid baker and always has cookies, brownies and other sweet treats! They are generous & giving...In addition to helping people recover from their addictions they run a non-profit for chis, Chi Angeles Rescue and Chi Angeles Happy Tails. I have jokingly said, "this is the best fraternity in the world", but honestly, it seems to be true. In a house filled with men of different ages, all of the clients sharing the common goal of sobriety, the camaraderie there is palpable. The residents each bring their own experiences and strengths to the home, creating an atmosphere where the clients can learn and grow with support and confidence. The staff is dedicated and caring, going above and beyond to inspire the clients to embrace the most positive aspects of their own characters. Perhaps the greatest blessing for my son is that many of the clients living there are also musicians. Lance, the owner and founder of Rancho Park Recovery, is a musician himself, and he clearly recognized the need for there to be a separate space in the house where the musicians can play and create music. The staff encourages daily fellowship and sharing and is extremely understanding of all of the challenges of early sobriety. While we appreciate the efforts of the staff and recognize the challenges involved in providing care and support, we encountered ongoing difficulties with communication throughout our family member's stay. Communication with the assigned case manager was often limited, and requests for updates regarding our loved one's progress and well-being were not always acknowledged or addressed in a timely manner. As family members, we relied on these updates to remain informed and reassured. The lack of consistent communication frequently left us uncertain about his status and concerned for his overall well-being. In addition, maintaining direct contact with our family member proved challenging at times. Multiple attempts were made to obtain information and establish communication, but responses were often delayed or unavailable. This created unnecessary stress and uncertainty for those of us who were actively involved in supporting his care and recovery. We also received feedback from our family member, as well as observations shared by other residents, indicating that some interactions with case management staff could have benefited from greater patience, attentiveness, and responsiveness. While we understand that staff members manage significant responsibilities, respectful and compassionate communication plays a critical role in fostering trust and supporting residents effectively. Equally important is the partnership between a facility and a resident's family. Families are often the primary source of emotional support, advocacy, and continuity of care for their loved ones. Maintaining open communication and working collaboratively with family members helps ensure the best possible outcomes for residents and strengthens the support system that contributes to their success. Family involvement should be viewed as an essential component of the care process rather than an afterthought. These comments are offered respectfully and constructively, with the hope that they may assist in enhancing communication practices, strengthening family engagement, and improving the overall experience for both residents and their loved ones.

I was forced to write words every day. If my bed wasn't made right I would have to write 300 words on a subject. It didn't stop there. In the same day if I left a cup out I was given another 300 words to write. I wrote 2000 plus words a day. And they were dishonest with my parents that paid there crazy bill. I was finely blessed when they kicked me out sober. I relapsed the same day and was addicted for another 3 years. After the damage was done I went to AA and got sober. The friends I had there are now mostly dead... Iv followed them on face book and it seems we all had the same experience! Do not let these people tell you what you or your child needs to be doing!
