My goal was to get a new sweatshirt, but there was an amazing Sales lady, Robin, that not only helped me find the perfect sweatshirt in one of my favorite colors, she also suggested a few more items for me to try on. She handed me dresses to try on that we're a perfect fit. She sized me up by just looking at me and picked things that looked flattering on my body type. Because of her excellent sales work and friendliness, I ended up purchasing 2 dresses, 2 tops, 1 pair of pants, and a sweatshirt! 6 items bought, when my focus was on one item! I walked out a very happy customer! Thank you Robin! I hope they pay you well, as you must make a lot of money for Title Nine! Kudos to you Robin, I will look for you next time I am in town!

In the past couple years, I hate how Dicks added their political views to everything. I just wish businesses and whatnot would stfu about their political views. I don't shop at a place because they're super conservative or if they ...super liberal. I go to businesses if they have what I want. So when places add their two cents, specifically on anything political...it ruins them for me. I know I'm not alone in this. Seriously, shut up. We wanna buy sneakers or a water bottle, we dgaf what side of the aisle you stand on. Ok that's my rant on that lol. I rarely go here. This was my 2nd time in this store since it opened. They opened 6 years ago, maybe? I went in right after and then this time. I was at Petco next door and needed to check out their weightlifting belts. Reasonable prices on that but everything else....priiiiicey! If you shop at Dicks, you know this tho. Checked out some of their sale items and if you can get something on sale (depending on what it is) their prices can be pretty good. Big 5 is next door...right next door. The huge corporate stores love to do that to the smaller stores like Big 5. Big 5 is a better store, but of course they don't carry as much. Their prices are certainly better and makes happy this location hasn't been forced out because of the giant Dicks (lol) right next to it. There's a Big 5 minutes from my house too, so I go there more. Dicks is across from the mall so if I am In that area I may think of going in, but like I said, this was the 2nd time in 6 years that I've been in that store. I just don't care to go in that much lol. Staff was friendly tho and super helpful. So they have that going for them. Aside from that, I know this review won't help anyone lol. You either love this place or just don't care about it. Everyone knows it exists so yeah, you either go or don't. I usually pop in regularly to check the sales and deals. On a visit last year I found this collapsible duffel bag. It's a monster. It folds into itself and has been a regular addition to my must have travel items. Their line of national parks t shirts are great gift ideas for family that lives outside of the Us as well as those who don't have a national park near them. I also like their hats and windbreakers. The staff is super friendly and what I like the most is that they are knowledgeable about their products. They really want you to have what works best for you not necessarily the most expensive thing in the store. Pro Tip. Sign up for rewards. Buddy of mine had some black Nikes on recently. My roommates pointed out that he really liked them. Asked my buddy where he got them, he said Nike at the Village. So the roommate and I ventured out to Nike at the Village. They still had the sneakers. Roommate didn't like them in person lol. He tried on several other pairs tho and in the end, couldn't decide on a pair. That's fine. I ALMOST bought a pair of gym shorts, but they didn't have any other color in this style other than red. That's fine. Shawn. Shawn is the incredible employee who helped us. He immediately came up to us like 2 seconds after we walked in. Quite a difference from my Foot Locker experience (that review is posted). Shawn just moved here from California, but we won't hold that against him, haha! He was great! Truly went above and beyond to help my roommate. Was super patient with us, with anyone who asked for his help. He is super friendly, super accommodating, and if someone annoys him (don't know if that's possible tbh), you'd never know. He seems to truly love working with the public. As someone who has worked retail and did so for many years, it's a tough industry to be in...especially with how entitled people are! And these days! Hard pass. I called Austin (I live in Oregon and have to travel a few hours to get to location) and told him my issues with the shoes I had. I was hesitant to ask for help, but Austin reassured me that they would help me fix my problem with my current shoes. I ended up getting two new pairs of shoes (different brand, of course) and two pairs of insoles. Timothy, the salesman who helped me this time, he did the new computer measuring of my feet and discovered I needed a different size than previously thought. Timothy was exceedingly patient as I tried on several boxes of shoes. I'm so happy that I called in to ask for help. Austin & Timothy solved my problem. I am a very happy customer. He was able to find a belt in his size and in a color that he liked. The fact that it was one of his preferred brands--Levi's--was a win for him. That it was on clearance was a win for me. The store was overall in good shape and the racks did not suffer from the same malady as most Kohl's stores where you can't even view the items on the rack because they are so bloody overstuffed that you end up breaking the plastic hangers trying to take a peek at a size or a price of something.
