The store manager, Susan Jordon, was so upbeat, energetic, friendly, and made my shopping experience one of the best I've had in a very, very long time. I came in to return an order of 4 pants I purcahsed online as a first time customer at J.Jill, I wasn't sure what size to order. Susan simply explained that I was ordering way too big and helped me find the perfect work pant for my new job. She set me up comfortably in a fitting room and brought me endless options to try - taking all the guesswork out of shopping, she picked out items that she thought would fit me well. Once we found the perfect fit, she found the pant in every color they had and went above & beyond to find me the only black pair left in a back stock room (double checking the computer inventory one last time before checking out). She was so friendly & kind - she was a complete joy to shop with. You don't run into this level of customer service at most retail stores. Susan is a tremendous asset to your brand and the company would do well if she traveled to other stores to spread her contagious attitude and friendly service! Job well done, Susan! I really hated my experience, it was my second time selling there today. I came in with maybe…read more40-50 golf clubs today, mostly boys and then a partial set of great quality/desirable adult clubs. Long story short, after about forty five minutes of giving them as much space as possible to discuss the value amongst themselves, they came up with about $90. When I asked what they were taking, they said "whatever isn't there anymore", and wouldn't show me. When I asked what all it consisted of, they read down a list of about14 clubs. Then because I opted for a check that ninety something was suddenly $56 and change for the list of 14 clubs, when I'd already agreed to the higher value. I asked if this was the norm, and he said yes about 30-40% difference between store credit and check. As soon as it was clear that I didn't have it in me to continue insisting to see a break down, a few of the other employees watching the interaction left with smug smirks knowing they'd gotten over on me. The experience overall felt incredibly predatory. I went in there as a reseller myself, knowing they obviously need to make a profit for their investment and time. I've also sold golf clubs there a few years back and the lady who helped me was very transparent and had no problem telling me how much was being offered for what. It was close to closing time, and I'd been there for about 45 minutes with my ten year old. Needless to say, $56 for 14 clubs when a single one could easily demand that or more is just taking complete advantage. I will not be returning to this business. I feel incredibly gaslit by the way the employee gave me a number, then it was cut nearly in half when I was not going to spend it there. Then he couldn't negotiate (because of the limitations of his system) or show me my items that were being sold. When I asked about a crazy number on the other clubs, I was told by another employee that I could leave them there for scrap because they have a guy, when there was probably plenty (out of about 30) that would have been sold had I opted to do so. I was putting my trust in them since they specialize in this area, and I anticipated and was happy to leave a healthy profit margin, but they took complete advantage of the situation and we will be finding an alternative outlet. I regret doing business there today, and left feeling completely violated.

As soon as we walked in you could tell that the staff cared about the shoppers. They had shirts of all different sizes for him to try on to determine his true size. This alone was great in terms of finding him things that fit. There wasn't a ton of variety in terms of styles, but the shirts actually fit incredibly. I will say they did give him the wrong size in one of his shirts so we will have to drive all the way back to return in. Besides that the experience was great. I do wish there was more of a selection for women, but what they did have was very good quality.

Christina greeted my mom and I when we walked in. She helped me look through different sizes to find the perfect fit and different materials to see which one I liked best. She showed me all the colors they had in my size, and ordered the ones I wanted for me. Christina was polite, funny and relatable and, to be honest, the most helpful sales associate I've ever met. I hope that anybody else shopping at this store gets to meet her!

The store is like Abercrombie & Fitch, except maybe ten years older and working at a desk instead of wearing flip flops with jeans at an East Coast college campus and calling everyone "bro". Brooks Brothers completely outfits the conservative, mature gentleman in everything from casual tennis duds to formal dinner suits (I didn't notice any tuxedos, though), with professional officewear, everywhere, accessories such as cufflinks and tie-pins lining the aisles like Hansel's pebbles in the forest. Casual Friday or Perpetual Suit-n-Tie-Day, Brooks Brothers has you covered in yacht club, "you ruffians aren't welcome here" style. The prices aren't particularly high even though the neighborhood is glitzy. You can get lots of different things under $100. Park in the nearby structure for free, or use the reasonably priced, even nearer-by pay-as-you-stay lot ($2 every 15 minutes, cheaper still if you catch a meter). Service is polite but not over-the-top "I'm going to help the Hell out of you" friendly, either. The store is nicely decorated, like hanging out at a lawyer's house after his closet exploded. The associates will even box your purchases as presentable gifts (with cards!) as a complimentary part of the service, which is a definite plus. Very disappointed with their customer service. Apparently they don't honer their 90 day return policy. They have lost a longtime customer. Update: l ended up returning them at the Enfield store with no problem. The rep in Manchester had told me they had to be in resell-able condition. I guess they resell defective items there.
