The vibe when you walk in sets the tone for me. The space is pleasing to the eye, but empty in terms of personal warmth, a sense of well being or comfy vibe. The entire experience and transaction was all very mechanical. I was asked to arrive 15 min early and I sat there alone for more than 5 minutes. When a woman finally walked out front, there was no warm greeting or any sense of welcome. Simply asked my name and stated "I was now checked in". I was gifted this massage and made sure to schedule a service allowing the remaining balance of my gift card to serve as the tip. Upon completion of my service, I was told that gift card funds could not be used as a tip. How absurd! Wanting to do the right thing for my massage therapist, I used my credit card to provide a tip and only discovered once I saw the receipt that I was charged an additional .90 cents to do this! I was not informed of this surcharge. Overall, there is a lot left to be desired to make this venue the whole package. read more

The address you texted me (370 S. Walker) wasn't the right address. The lobby was not warm and inviting. Just a few hard seats. I did like the sound of the waves, and Devontae did a good job. I liked that he asked me how much pressure to apply. The stones weren't very hot and they cooled off fast. It would be better if you soaked them in a crock pot with hot liquid. The room was very minimal and the table was comfortable. When I saw all the rooms in a row, it felt like I was in a stable. Checking out felt like an assembly line. I think you could do better to soften your place and make it feel more inviting. read more

I booked an appt almost a month ago for an 80 min massage as a treat for an anniversary. less than an hour before my appt time today, I got a call that the therapist wouldn't be in until half an hour after my appt time, and had a booking an hour after, so I would either need to go with a 50 min or reschedule. For a place with a standard cancelation policy and early arrival for clients, I'm truly not impressed that they had to bail on my appt less than an hour from when *I* was supposed to be there without making any offer as an apology. read more

This was my first visit to Now. It is very clean and nicely decorated. I walked in and checked in immediately and was seen within minutes of my appt time. I booked a 50min deep tissue massage. Calli was my masseuse and she was wonderful. She listened to my needs and executed flawlessly. The pressure was great and I left feeling very relaxed. I love the vibe! I have signed up for a membership at the Cary location but have yet to find a favorite masseuse. I've been to this location and the Raleigh/Brier Creek, I tend to like this location better. I enjoy the ambiance and the ocean sounds, it's very relaxing. I like that they don't try to upsell you. I feel like each masseuse has their techniques and wish each experience wasn't different. The best part is there is no talking or small talk as the ambiance doesn't allow it. This is a newer space so I'm giving them some grace. I tend to visit in the late evenings and hate there's no parking close by, there is a parking structure which is always empty. Although we are in downtown Cary, I don't like feeling uneasy as I walk to the structure in the dark. I've enjoyed the membership and like that I cancel anytime. read more

But a responsible and respectful member of their staff, Dequan, took care of things, processed the cancellation, ensured I would not be charged again, and called me to give me a status. He also made sure to let me know I that I had 90 to used my left over credits (which I also did not know). I appreciate his assistance. It's just unfortunate that things get don't only after you complain or make a review. Original review: It's truly a shame. While their location is lovely and a couple of massage therapists are skilled; I also care about administrative service and transparency. I was introduced to this place by a friend who gifted me a massage (she is in Canada). When I went to my appointment I made sure to update the records to reflect my information. Next time I got service on my own, my friend in Canada was charged for it. The manager takes her time in answering messages and you often times will have to call a few times before being able to talk to anyone at all. Leaving voicemails also leads nowhere. After that, I enrolled on their membership service and I was told I could pause the service or cancel at any time. Guess what, not at any time. When you go do that it's when you find out they need a 30 days notice so your next charge will happen no matter what. What was I told instead? "Yeah, the manager will call you as we need to put you on a list for cancellations." You also can't cancel your membership online. Do not get the membership and be very cautious about putting any card on their system. If you go, because as I said, some therapists are very good, just pay and don't let them keep your card on the system for "convenience". Transparency and open communication is essential no matter the business. read more

I'll preface this by saying I do not get massages often, it was a date night idea as my husband and I both needed some R&R. The candles and body oils for sale are stellar. The staff is superb, however my biggest complaint is the membership. I signed up thinking we could make it a regular date night spot - we ended up not using it, no big deal it's 82$ a month and you get some good perks, however cancellation was what one would imagine leaving Scientology is like. You have to personally email them, then email again confirming as they respond "are you sure" before they send you yet another email you have to sign and fill out, and then are told they HAVE to bill you for another month??? Incredibly shady. We won't be returning here, and it's a shame I would have bought more merchandise and likely spent more than the membership. read more

I started my membership at the Now in Midtown which in my opinion is excellent however since my therapist left the Midtown location I thought I would try the Cary location since it was closer to home. I will never go back to this location again. I booked an 80 minute online for my husband and I when I arrived he had a 50 minute and I had a 80 minute. Bless her heart the new admin was new so she had no idea what to do. I had been at Now since Midtown opened always booked my appts online never had this happen. Although my email read 80 and online appt read 80, a 50 minute was scheduled. I feel like they manually changed the time. Secondly, the therapist offered no hot towels at the end like they do at Midtown. Folks go to Now at Midtown. I will never come back to the Cary location. Lastly there was no bedside manner. I paid for my Daughter to get a massage on Sunday 9/15. She got a massage from Quinten and said what a waste of money it was, light pressure and awful. The staff prior to the massage told us Quinten could not provide deep tissue as an add on, why did they book 2 massages for deep tissue then? I booked Sabrina and got a deep tissue massage. My sister booked Calli and also got a deep tissue massage. Both of the massages were wonderful. Sabrina listened to what I shared with her and spent more time on the areas I asked for help on. I've been to several higher end spas (including some in the Raleigh area that I will not mention by name) and after experiencing this place, I would recommend this over those. Should've known what I was getting into when the girl at the front desk told me my masseuse couldn't do deep tissue, they should have been up front and honest about how each person works. Frequent stops in my massage and little to no pressure, left that place feeling worse than I came in. Quinton asked me what he could focus on during the massage and didn't even touch any places that I asked for. One of the worst massages I've had.
