Really good had the double bacon cheeseburger. Itvwas huge and really good. Also gotvl some blackberry cobbler. My family loved it too. Only negative I have was the appearance of the building on the outside and seating was kind of tight. But I do reccomend.

Located right off 39 on Oakford Street!

Great diner food. Everything was delicious and very very cheap. Homemade lemonade was fantastic. Cornbread is just like granny's.

Great little place. We almost didn't walk in because of how it looked on the outside, but it was…read moresurprisingly nice on the inside. Walked in, and we were told to sit anywhere, the lady waiting us had a good accent, not like what you hear up north. My hunger was twerkin and we were ferociously desiring some food, so I decided to get the "challenger burger" with my friend. Then Paul walked in. My friend shouted, "howdy Paul!" And distressingly, he didn't respond. At first I thought, "that can't be Paul," but a closer look revealed it was. Turned out maybe Paul was angry at us for being Michiganders. The challenger burger was massive, and it was tasty. It hit the spot like uncle Jerry does. The bottom bun was a little soggy from all the grease from the 1 pound burger, but it was still fantastic. I gobbled slobbered bobbled it up like my buddy Mia K does. Paul and his family seemed mad at us, so we looked away. Otherwise, I think the food was great, besides the fact that I accidentally put sugar instead of salt on my fries. The pickle chips are life changing. They look like chicken nuggets but taste like wock. Stuff is gas. Literally deisel, and not even on no Joe Bideski prices. There needs to be more beautiful women in this area like the cashier at Long John Silver's though.

It's located in a small town and we were pleasantly surprised on the food! The Food: I had the "Double Mushroom Swiss Bacon Burger" and side of "Chili Cheese Fries". The burger itself was delicious! The burger patty was cooked to my liking and was juicy. The toppings were fresh and the mushroom swiss added the nice touch to the burger. The Chili Cheese Fries were just average though. Just regular fries with some chili and cheese topped over. I wouldn't get it again. The Service: Service was great! The staff were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. And, our food got out to us in a timely manner! The Atmosphere: The restaurant was as expected. Spacious and had a timeless feel to the place. Definitely fit the old small town diner aesthetic. There's also plenty of seating available and parking is available on the side or on the street. Overall, a 5/5! For a small town, this local diner hit the spot for a quick lunch. The food was good and the service as great! If i visit New River again, I'll make a stop again for sure.

Such a good selection of sandwiches, salads and pizza. We got an order of onion rings to start off with. They were delicious with there house sauce. I ordered Camp Creek Club with house made chips. It was on toasted sourdough bread with a hearty helping of ham, turkey, crisp bacon, lettuce and thick slices of tomato (I opted to leave off the cheese and mayo). The Ham and Turkey were not deli meat but actual pieces of sliced ham and turkey! My husband ordered The Nate which is a fried bologna sandwich. It came with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mustard. The sandwiches were huge and very good!. He finished half of my half and I got the other half to take home for dinner. We had to save some room for the ice cream. Half of the restaurant is the diner and the other was ice cream and cake. There was plenty of choices of both! It was good creamy ice cream. Annie, our server was wonderful and the young man at the ice cream side was so delightful. It was very clean inside and out. This was a definite good lunch stop!

We were seated immediately on a Friday at around 1pm. I love their vegetarian options but this is a place that assumes if you are a vegetarian, that you like and must have onions and mushrooms in every meal. I couldn't find much other than pancakes/pastries/sweet shit that didn't have onions and mushrooms but fortunately, they were able to accommodate my request for the tofu scramble without onions or mushrooms. GF ordered the vegetarian quesadilla with, you guessed it, onions and mushrooms (among other things). My tofu scramble was good but calling it a scramble is slightly misleading as it is actually tofu cubes albeit very crispy and tasty tofu cubes. This dish was probably potatoes. A few spinach leaves and maybe 1/100th of a pepper. I will concede to the fact that some of that volume might have been taken up by mushrooms and onions. The dish was very good regardless and the accompanying salsa added a really nice extra je ne sais quoi. I also really like the pay first and then leave whenever you want model to avoid being held hostage to bad service not to say that they would've provided bad service but it is a risk anywhere. Regarding GF's quesadilla which I did not have the pleasure of sampling bc of onions of mushrooms "I thought it was decent". When I asked if she had any details or specifics to add, she replied, "no".

Yelp reviewers, thank you for the recommendation! I'm just passing through (Louisiana to Niagara…read moreFalls) and did a quick search for a good place to eat in this area before I booked my hotel & I'm thrilled I made time for Angelle's Diner! I made lots of friends in the outdoor dining area since I have my sweet dog. My new friends recommended hamburgers & the BLT. I decided to strike out on my own & ordered the Country Fried Steak with white gravy. Now I'm from Texas & I love CFS, so when I tell you it was good, that means something!!! It was fresh & hot! Fresh okra that you can tell was hand breaded (amazing, my first of the season since we've had so much rain in LA)! The onion rings were also awesome. The ranch was a little runny but it tasted great (I just would have liked more sticking to the ORs)! Patty was great!!! Super helpful & attentive. She brought my pup water & then brought him refills. That has never happened to me before! Doggie owners, I felt welcomed. All that plus a really nice fruity cake for dessert cost $23.58! I feel weird giving my meal a 10 (since I'm from TX & the food is a Texan staple) but it's well deserved. Great ending to a very long day driving!

My wife had half of mine while they made another one. The new one was almost right. About 1/4 of it was raw. What wasn't raw was very good. The fried okra was good. The fries were so-so (not crispy). The service was terrible. They were a little busy, but not *that* busy.
