Looking at the pricing at a glance seems unreasonable but once you taste the food and see the portions you'll see the prices are justifiable. They have a pretty extensive menu. It's always pretty awesome when they have these food truck festivals in Buffalo. Buffalo is really beginning to be a cool place lately for this kind of event. The problem is the selection of food trucks in this particular city is awfully hipster and is about twice the price of the best trucks in New York City and is absolutely toilet standard. There were lots of people from the office building and a really long line and the truck did not seem to be able to keep up with the demand and it was one of the first cold days of the season, so that was a bit of a bummer. I still enjoyed my little meat pocket though and I would definitely go back again. If they were faster, I would have given a better star rating if it was faster service. I wanted to order the "mofongo as a meal". I don't speak Spanish and the staff confused me as to whether it came with a meat of any kind or not. They finally decided that it did not, but when I was served it came with a meat... I don't know what kind of meat, but it was meat. It appeared to be deep fried pig snouts and/or cartilage. It was chewy and unappealing. I really only like my pig snouts/cartilage in the form of a char-broiled Sahlen's hot dog. I didn't care for whatever that was, but the mofongo was really good, and there was a generous portion of it too. I'll head back to Ricos Pinchos again to give them another shot, but I'm not going to get the "mofongo as a meal" again.

It's a LOT of food and I'm looking forward to half of it for dinner! Good flavor on the beans & rice, moist chicken. The plantains were especially excellent, with a good sweetness and soft in the center. My husband got a gigantic sandwich and said the meat was good quality. The square itself is neat too (shaded benches, plenty of historical stuff to read, loud music on the speakers) if you happen to find them at the same location. I really appreciated the truck staying open a few minutes past when the other trucks left, so we were still able to enjoy a delicious lunch even though we were right at closing time. Thank you!

The FOOD- Is DELICIOUS Carribbean food. I love everything, the stew chicken, the curry chicken, the jerk chicken, and my favorite....the Trinbago Chinese Chicken. Lastly you MUST try the homemade drinks, no recycled store bought here. You haven't had Ginger Beer until you've had theirs. It's homemade and will clear you up in a good way...strong and sweet. The Lime is delicious! The Sorrel is like a cross between loganberry with a hint of licorice (and I don't even like licorice, but this just works). Sides are very good too. I like the Mac pie and the cabbage is on the tougher side but that works for me because I do not like soft cabbage. The restaurant itself is VERY clean and intimate. An upgrade from their food truck in ways that make me so happy for them and the community. I've been able to work here on my laptop while enjoying great food. Check them out.
