Came in and checked it out for the 1sr time since new owners took it over …read more Sat at the bar and waited for 10 min to finally get served a drink not much atmosphere here they call it an Irish pub bit I can't understand why. I have been in the buisness for over 25 yrs and trust me when I say they need to train their staff. After friends joined me we decided to sit at a high top by the bar and proceeded to wait another 5 or 6 min. To get menus. Server was inattentive and food was sub par at best I ordered a burger with fries hmm bow can you screw that up well ,temp was wrong, topping light, fries were well let's just say I got 14 of them seriously cost of a potato is cheap give your guest some fries please... customers at bar were drunk, rude, and kept eye balling my girlfriend. Not an atmosphere that I would want to come to. Made her very uncomfortable . $$$ drinks and beer was $$$ too. Remember You are in Barto pa. Not in the city. If you want to be successful look at your demographics. Look at average income per house hold in area. GOOD LUCK if you can't get a burger right and you can't train your staff to be attentive and stay off the cell phones. Than you need to rethink why you are in buisness .

So I'm giving 5 stars only for the pure fact I met a friend there and only drank water. The staff…read morewas nice and my girl food looked fresh and she ate it all. I read the other reviews and felt the need to add one. 1. Staff seemed nice did we become best if friends.....no I dont go to bars to become friends. And nor would I think it's wrong they are on their phones. 2. Your in Barto. It's a red neck town that reminds me of breaking bad. Do u think your gonna get a bar like atmosphere like you would in a big city or even more populated town. I'm just impress it's not a drug bar like there was in my small town. So 5 stars there. 3. If I wasnt paid I wouldnt work at a place. I read somewhere they dont pay the staff. Ok. They rent rooms above . Ever think they live there rent free. That's payment .or idk they really are getting a paycheck. 4. Cant stress it's under new ownership there will be bumps. It was pretty busy when I was there I was actually impressed being a random bar like this.

We appreciated that there were gluten free options for some of our family members in attendance. We also loved the drink menu -- there were lots to choose from, including specialty cocktails and a full bourbon list. The overall ambiance was rustic and relaxed. There are three separate rooms -- bar room, lounge, and the waterwheel room that was brighter (where we sat). We definitely will be coming back!

They were a little different than standard stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were in a marinara sauce with mozzarella cheese covering them. They tasted excellent lots of gooey cheese. For the main meal I had the chicken Caesar wrap with French fries. My wife had the Margherita fresco flat bread. Everything was excellent you can tell they use local fresh ingredients in their food. The French fries were exceptionally good probably the best fresh cut fries I ever had. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Our waitress did an excellent job checking in on us and keeping our drinks full. The grind also offers a bourbon tasting. We didn't try a flight of bourbon but maybe next time. I will definitely be stopping back in at the grind anytime I'm in the area. If you are ever in the area I would definitely give the grind a try you won't be disappointed!

Last year we sat at the bar on a whim and the bartender, who was here tonight was fabulous! We had a great meal. Tonight we sat near the bar with reservations. The ambiance is beautiful, the service is warm and excellent. We had amazing drinks, the spicy hibiscus margaritas and the "not so old fashioned" were both top of the notch. Was offered the special soup, roasted red pepper, cauliflowers soup was ....perfect. The brussel sprout appetizer was stellar. I had the special Mahi Mahi with watermelon "salsa", tajin rice and green beans. Each bite was incredibly delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. My husband had the 14 oz strip steak with broccoli and smashed fingerling potatoes. We had no room for dessert but the ice cream was calling for me.. next time.

I decided I'm no longer gonna stop here on my way home after I paid almost $14 for a few tiny fried cauliflower balls. It's rare for me to leave a restaurant hungry and that's happened a couple times after having been at Jamison's. New York prices. French portions. They charge 20 to 30% more than anybody else and they're out deep in the woods with nothing spectacular but everything good. Perhaps because they're the only show in town they can get away with this, but I'll drive further next time.
