Really like the recent expansion. Took over the barber shop space next door and retaining the barber's chairs was a nice touch. Playing pool and relaxing there last night was a lot of fun. Servers and appetizer-like food choices were better than expected. Easy parking, large lot. Best NAME in the BIZ. The only negative was the lighting. As bright as daylight inside at 10pm. It is a bar and people are more relaxed and social when things are dimmed down a bit. Other than that, all good, music, etc.

Okay so first things first... this place is NOT "The Office" themed lol that was my misunderstanding even though they use the right font on their menu. With that being said, this place is, more than anything else, a cute, cozy hometown bar/coffee house. Great customer service, delicious coffee (I got the Cubano), and a decent breakfast sandwich. Nothing to complain about!

I really enjoyed randomly discovering this place. Friendly bar keeper and lots Covid cool seating options were most enjoyable here. The Black Ale by 10 Barrel was a delight!

I think this place may have been made just for me. I own my own bookkeeping business and am a total night owl. I have a hard time finding places to work when I'm out of town. I end up often at noisy sports bars being the weird girl in the corner on her laptop at 9pm on a weeknight. I got here at 6:15ish and there 3 other people working. There was music, upbeat alt-rock/pop. Think Vampire Weekend or Foster the People. It was at the perfect level so the other customers, while having lively conversations, didn't feel like they had to yell over the music. They have lottery but it's kind of separate from the main bar area. The menu is light snacks/finger food. Cocktail menu is creative; I had a peppermint martini and it was delightful. Food is gross. Ordered a breakfast burrito, bacon was translucent and the whole thing just seemed wet in a bad way - just go somewhere else.

Cute little coffee shop + bar in Milwaukie. Tons of seating, yummy coffee (I got an oat milk latte), and friendly service.

The Record Pub is your one-stop shop for new and used rock-based records and tapes, vintage stereo equipment and Northwest-focused beer, cider, wine and assorted beverages served in our pub area or taken to-go. I dropped in today on my daily walk and I'm so impressed with what I saw! They the layout of the store is fantastic and easy to find and browse the records. So many records store have the records jampacked and it's incredibly time-consuming to go through to find what you're looking for or just browsing is a pain. That is not the case here as you will see by my pictures! There are so many records to choose from and they are constantly adding to their inventory. Today they have six beers on tap, one cider and they offer wine by the glass. I also have a case where you can pick up beard to go or drink it in house for a small corkage fee. I had a nice chat with the owners and look forward to chatting with them again soon. I wish The Record Pub an abundance of success and plan on stopping after work to have a refreshing drink!

It really does feel like you've discovered something special. The cocktails were excellent. Thoughtfully crafted, well-balanced, and creative without being gimmicky. Everything we ordered tasted intentional and high quality. We also shared a charcuterie board, which was a great call. Perfectly portioned, nicely curated, and a really good pairing with cocktails. What stood out just as much as the drinks was the atmosphere. It felt intimate, warm, and conversation-friendly -- the kind of place you want to linger. It was exactly the vibe we were looking for for a relaxed evening out. If you're into speakeasy-style bars, creative cocktails, and cozy, hidden-gem energy, Bible Club is an absolute must when you're in Portland.

Growing up, I spent a fair amount of time around fire stations…read more My Dad was a firefighter. As a kid, that meant climbing around the trucks, knowing the difference between a fire truck and a fire engine, screwing around in the long-gone handball court down at Station 1, and thinking firefighters were basically superheroes. Strong. Brave. Fearless. And sporting absolutely bad ass mustaches. (For those of you who don't know, a fire truck carries the ladders, and a fire engine carries the hose. Trust me, firefighters are very particular about the distinction. They're also surprisingly proud of hose size. Honestly, who doesn't want to ride in the vehicle with all the hose.) There was a period in American history where every firefighter looked like he was either fighting a five-alarm blaze or auditioning to be the next Dirk Diggler. Thick. Powerful. The kind of mustache that could put out a five-alarm blaze and still have enough left in the tank to offer free mustache rides to the neighborhood ladies. It was magnificent. So, when I heard pFriem was opening a brewery in Milwaukie's old firehouse, I knew I had to check it out. Not for the mustache rides, mind you. At this stage in life, I'm not offering them for free and I'm not looking to ride one. Not in this economy. The old firehouse has been transformed into an incredible space. Too many historic buildings get remodeled into something so generic that it could just as easily be a bank, the office for the city of Milwaukie, or a luxury apartment leasing center. Or they become a McMenamins. Not this place. The massive doors, high ceilings, and creative use of the firepole (without turning it into a strip club)...it still retains some of the charming characteristics of a firehouse. Just one where the emergency now involves deciding whether my liver can handle one more pint. And speaking of beer, pFriem is pFriem. Easily one of my top 5 favorite breweries. Plus, the food is excellent. Years ago, firefighters gathered here waiting for the next alarm. Later it became city offices, which is admittedly a less exciting use of a firehouse. Today, people gather here for great beer, good food, and conversation. Honestly, that's a pretty great third act for an old building. Five stars. Still no mustache rides, though.
