Food: The food was absolutely amazing--fresh, hot, cooked to order, and served in generous portions. The sweet tea was excellent as well. Service/Environment: Unfortunately, the dining area did not match the quality of the food. Several tables and the floor were not clean, and many surfaces were sticky. I had to use napkins to wipe down my own table before eating. The bathroom was also out of tissue during my visit. Overall: While the food is outstanding, the cleanliness of the restaurant needs improvement. Delicious BBQ relatively close to Great Wolf Lodge makes this spot an excellent choice for those who are looking for a hearty meal outside of the lodge of BBQ, sides, and tacos. They are still working out the kinks as it's a new restaurant but overall we were satisfied with our meal. Nice BBq...I have a little higher standard and for the South Oink Joint needs to step it up a bit. The food was not bad, but really wasn't great. No vinegar for the greens and you would have thought I asked to kill the cashiers dog. Leave brisket to Texas or prepare better. I went to the Oink Joint for ribs with friends for my birthday. We had eaten them on a Monday a few months ago. Delicious . Today is Thursday. I arrived first and reviewed menu. We enjoyed the tots and barbecue. They were good but the portion shrinks every time we eat there. We attempted to order the ribs to be told they were only available on special days. Why did the menu not disclose that???We would have hard passed Oink Joint because you have to rely on the meat only because sides are awful! We ended up sharing a pound of plain barbecue that took forever to arrive. I do not recommend you eat there unless you verify it's a rib night! Very disappointing! read more

One star because the pulled pork had good flavor. -4 stars because all of our food (a party of 4) was cold and the brisket was dry. You can normally tell what kind of BBQ joint you are at when you're not asked if you want your brisket lean or fatty. I had to ask if I could get a fattier cut. The cashier looked confused, mumbled yeah, but didn't even add a note to the order. It was lean and dry and needed BBQ sauce to add any decent flavor in addition to their sugar/BBQ seasoning sprinkled on top. We visited at lunch time and the order took 27 minutes to reach our table. Way too long for a BBQ restaurant. My wife went to check on it approximately 10 minutes earlier and they said it would be up soon. There was food in the window at that time. Chances are, it was our food waiting and getting cold. We ate as much as we could stomach and didn't return it to be made properly because we were on the road and couldn't risk another 25+ minute wait time. The restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived or ordered. We walked right in and up to the counter. There was maybe 1-2 other people waiting at a table with their table numbers when we ordered. The environment with the outdoor patio is nice, but the environment and the cold pork with decent flavor is about the only positive experience at The Oink Joint today. read more

The barbecue sandwiches are very good. The pork is tender. Good sides. Service may be a bit on the slow side, but it's more of a sit-down, enjoy the camaraderie with friends type place. We enjoyed eating out on the patio. Our food was delicious, my granddaughter really liked the chicken fingers and fries.

LOVE the food here! My husband and I frequent this restaurant regularly, and I use them for catering at work. The meats are delicious! The only drawback I've found is that it is a small restaurant, so if a large group comes in before you, it might be a long wait (45 mins). I wish they had vinegar for the greens, as another reviewer said, but that's not a dealbreaker for me. read more

The tater tots are very crispy and delicious. The sweet barbecue sauce and ranch dressing are an awesome dipping sauce. The Reuben sandwich is very good.
