This thrift store supports animals, so I always prefer to donate to them, however, I had an…read moreunpleasant experience today when I dropped off a large donation. I brought nine trash bags plus three grocery bags, all stuffed with clothing to donate. As I was walking to the back of my car to retrieve the final bag, one of the employees working there on the receiving dock told me they really couldn't accept any more from me. I told her I had just one last bag. She looked at me disapprovingly and said they just didn't have room for all of this. I was dumbstruck. I responded that it would help if they accepted donations more frequently so they wouldn't be overloaded on the days they do accept and that she really shouldn't discourage people from bringing their donations or they won't have anything to sell in their shop. She again looked at me as if I had done something wrong and shook her head. I got in my car and drove off. I do not want to discourage the public from either donating to or shopping at Humane Together, but I think that whoever is in charge of donations for the organization needs to have a conversation with the folks who work on that dock and remind them that accepting donations, large or small, is the lifeblood of their store and they should certainly not be discouraging large donations!

The prices ranged from around 5$ to around $15 for clothes. Unfortunately, I couldn't find what I was looking for, but they did have a wide variety of clothes from men suits to a wedding dress (only 1 I saw) to regular daily wear. The items were sorted by size and price rack, which made it easier to browse. It was an okay thrift store and clean, but it wasn't my cup of tea regarding what they had. Regardless, I recommend just checking it out since each thrift store is different and may appeal to different people.

We were greeted by this very sweet little girl (10-12 yrs old likely the owner's daughter) who was so polite and she gave us a little history about the building before her store took it over a year ago.
