My mother in law recently passed away and it was the first family member that we have ever had to work on funeral arrangements and to be honest, we were lost. Seeing as she was from Maurice though, we went with Delhomme's and it was definitely the correct choice. They did not pressure us in any way for anything and where nothing but supportive and informative and walked us through everything. They will take as much time as needed and will do everything from the viewing, burial, obituary ads in various papers, printed literature, floral arrangements, burial plots, head stones and anything else you can think of. It's a turn key operation that really can eliminate the stress and worries about how to get everything done during the worst time of most people's lives. I fondly remember visiting as a child and having the wonderful opportunity to learn how the early Acadian settlers homesteaded in their quaint Acadian cottages. Everything from making soap with lard, to spinning linen from cotton. They even used indigo flowers to make blue dye. Our visit for Christmas, although absent of a history tour, included a beautiful stroll through an illuminated Acadian Village. There was a beautiful manger set up, as well as the village chapel decorated with thousands of lights. Definitely worth a very inexpensive entry fee to meander through the village and experience some holiday cheer. They also had an amusement park decorated in lights, but we didn't get a chance to check out any rides, as the lines were pretty long for most of them, and we arrived late. Our visit definitely put me in the holiday spirit though! I plan to come back after the holidays for a history tour. It's such a nice place rich in history and culture.

We discovered mold in our home a few months ago. I knew nothing of the process or even how serious…read moretoxic mold could actually be. We moved into our camper until we could figure things out. I joined helpful mold groups on Facebook to understand exactly where to start. Certified mold inspection and air test is the initial 1st step. So I researched, called around, went back and forth on what was the right decision without wasting money, as mold issues can be very expensive. So a remediation company recommended "Zeke". I called him along with others I had researched, he made me feel the most comfortable. He explained the process of what he would do, he said he would crawl under my house to inspect crawl space. He then said "I am the only inspector you find that will crawl under your house, I have that benefit because of my size" So with everything he told me, I was content to go with him. I had scheduled an appointment but then when it got a week out I knew I wouldn't have the money by then so I had to postpone. He said "I understand, thank you for giving me plenty of heads up. " So fast forward, I reach out to him to tell him I'm ready, we set up an appointment, my husband takes off of work to be here, he then tells me it will be $100 more but he can honor the price he told me before. So I had a few questions to fully understand what the testing would intell, I got back very confusing answers that weren't straight forward at all. I was just making sure the test did show the amount/ named colony of toxic mold spores. Thats my main concern. So today, 1 hour before the appt he text me and says "Josh will be your inspector today, he will be in a black car". So I was caught off guard because I didn't even know he had someone else he worked with. I knew nothing about this guy, after reading the reviews on "zeke", researching and talking to him throughout this process. So I was like ok so who is Josh ? I expressed that I felt that could have been communicated, that I was adamant about fully understanding what I was getting into and I thought it was him I would be working with. So knowing alot of mold "inspectors" are not certified and are not legit, I asked if Josh was certified ( not to offend anyone but I was unaware of who he even was ) and does he go under the house like we had discussed ? All legit concerns right ?! So he basically replied back "He is, we're doing our best to accommodate all of our customers across the state in a timely manner" Which had nothing to do with my concerns. He then replied "I can call him right now and cancel if you'd like." So I said "Thats how you do business ?" He then replied that "maybe Another company would be better fit for you" My mind is blown ! I feel like he is intimidated by my questions and concerns but this is all knew to me. In the mold group I follow they talk alot about hiring a bogus inspector so with that in mind, I just had alot of questions, I just wanted to make sure I didn't hire someone and not get what I was expecting, so I just wanted to make sure I understood the process. So...he should be here right now, but my concerns got us canceled

From the onset of doing business with Dustin, I found him to be disorganized, and bullyish. He and…read morehis crew came unprepared and the two-day job turned into a 6-day job. One of the days his crew did not show because they all had to go to immigration for hearings. His equipment was rented and no one knew how to assemble it at first. Dustin had to leave on a regular basis to buy more supplies instead of coming prepared. They spent more time in my garage and driveway than in my attic. Dustin brought pizza and other snack for his crew. They used my leaf blower instead of having their own. They left garbage and dead rats on my driveway. I had introduced Dustin to my neighbors in hopes they could get service before it was as bad as my home. ( neighbors on one side of me had rat problems and they drifted to my home) He bullied them into signing up and then they cancelled once he was gone. NOT COOL. I eventually contacted the owner and he stopped by to chat and offered me a nice rebate due to the troubles. Sadly the trouble never ended. Dustin became cold and rude and took forever to finally finish the job. I was assured they would return to check the space in a week and then in two weeks to make sure the pests were forever gone. This never happened. I would not recommend this company for pest control. I paid a small fortune to have all my insulation and duct work replaced. This is not what I signed up for. I feel taken advantage of and lied to. I also felt the unprofessionalism of this young man was horrible and downright sketchy. Also, I asked not to be bothered again, and to never send me a survey about their work. Alas, I continue to receive emails asking for this review, because at Eagle they don't listen, only prey on women in my opinion.
