For where you are, pretty good. You order at the window and take a seat in the small dining room. Everything was clean and fresh. Someone else said Michelin star quality - absolutely not. But it was tasty and pretty quick, and the lady in the kitchen was friendly enough. We were not offered house made chips. Maybe things are different on a Sunday. My husband had fried chicken strips with fries and a vanilla milkshake. He said the chicken was moist and tasty, fries were good. I had grilled bbq chicken salad. Generous portion of diced chicken with bbq sauce on probably bag salad, but they added fresh tomatoes and cucumbers which was appreciated. Heads up - no wine or beer, just sodas and water. But they do make milkshakes. Not sure we will be back, but in a food desert, this was a good choice. read more

Ok, It's true this place in the middle of the country doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't judge this book by it's cover. 8 of us stopped in on motorcycles on the way to Eagle Lake and were pleasantly surprised. The food is really great. Not only was the burger good, but the bun was so good. It held together and with the final bite I had one perfect bite left of bun and burger. The fries were also awesome! This place rules. Hidden behind the rather rough exterior is a total gem of a restaurant serving extremely solid fast food burgers. The bun is exactly the right texture, the toppings are on point, and I appreciate that the burger isn't enormous either. It's exactly the right size. Fries are pretty good too. The rings were especially "outta this world" bursting with flavor. The gal cooking/serving me was a delight to speak with, too... On a subsequent return trip back (1 1/2 years later) from family in Alturas to the Bay Area, I couldn't hardly wait to go to the Old Mill Grill again. An all-american place to eat. I was thrilled to see a place to eat open in Beiber. I stopped in based on the reviews of the grill already on Yelp. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered a classic cheeseburger with some cheese curds (deep fried) and a large iced tea. The staff was talkative to me while I waited for my food, I was taking it to-go. The burger was perfect, juicy and flavorful. The bun was good and she toasted it for me. I did find it a little chewy, but i didn't mind. The cheese curds were deep fried from frozen, they were cooked to a deep golden brown but definitely not burnt. My only problem was since they were frozen the batter inside was a bit gummy. But I don't feel it was the grill's fault. The only way to avoid this would be to make them fresh and I'm sure they would if the demand was there. Long story short it was great and I would not hesitate to go back again. It is by far the best food and service for 60 miles around. I even have had a burger in a small burger shop in Burney and it beats them hands down. Give this place a try! read more

I never expected to find a foodie who loves what she does in Beiber, California but I was camping North of Mt. Lassen and found them on Yelp. I'm still full from the best lamb burger with fig jam, goat cheese and arugula. Fresh made potato chips right out of the fryer. Anytime I'm within 50 miles of this place I'm coming back.
