I love this family-run business! We've been purchasing appliances from them for YEARS (and…read moregenerations!) and have had nothing but excellent service. Their selection is excellent, the customer service is BEYOND what you'll get anywhere else (seriously) and it feels so good to support a company like this. I recommend them to everyone I know.

Absolutely awful customer service. We chose to buy our appliances though this store thinking we…read morewould get good customer service. (being a locally owned business) We purchased 17 appliances for 3 homes with them in a six month period. We have had issues with one gas range since receiving it. Grand Pappy's sent a repair person to fix it 6 times in 7 months. The problem has still not been fixed. At what point will they replace the stove that is brand new and under warranty? They advised us to go directly to the manufacturer to replace the stove . The manufacturer told us to deal directly with the retailer we bought the appliance from. It has been over 3 months since the last time the repair man came and we are still waiting on a part they had to order. We have contacted Grand Pappy's several times to have this resolved with absolutely no success. It has now been nearly 10 months of them putting us off. After buying 17 appliances with them, we would have thought they would like to keep our business, but obviously they don't care at all about their customers. We will never purchase from them again.

When the owner found out I was having issues dealing with a brand new, never-before-used appliance (manufacturer wanted me to agree to a repair instead of replacement) he stepped in and replaced the appliance at no cost to me! The helpful delivery guys even brought me extra cookies just because they came to the house for delivery two times, the cookies are amazing too!

The owners are local folks that truly care about community relationships. Owners and staff just know how to make you feel like you're important. Since my first visit, they've made me feel like I'm part of their "family"! I don't like being pressured by annoying sales people who try to sell you something just to sell something even if it's not what you're looking for. I tell you right now, that's not the case at Grand Pappy's. The knowledgeable, professional and friendly staff have listened to my needs and helped me find exactly what I was looking for without pressuring me. Like many people, I like getting a deal especially when you spend thousands of dollars. For that reason, i have a tendency to shop around, compare prices and quality, etc. Now knowing that I'm a very happy customer at Grand Pappy's, it should tell you that after doing my homework that's where I bought. This has been the best experience I've had so far and I can't see any reasons why I should shop elsewhere!! I should add that the delivery staff were fantastic. They were very professional, careful with the furniture as well as were cautious not to damage anything inside my place. Thanks to Brandy, Matt and the whole staff for making me feel special!!

We purchased a dryer from your Abbotsford store 3 months ago. Five weeks ago, it died mid-cycle. We…read morecalled the store, they in turn requested a service call. It took 10 days for a repair person to come out. They decided, for whatever reason, that it was the motherboard that had gone on it. He said he would order the part and be back within a week to 10 days to repair it. Eight days later the repair place called to say they have the part and it would be another week to 10 days before they could send someone to install it. As this was completely unacceptable, we called the store. Natasha spoke with my husband and could only give him the service departments phone number and that there was nothing else she could do, as she was going on holidays. He called the repair department and they put us on a cancellation list, but it would still probably be a week to 10 days. I called the repair place the next day and told them this was unacceptable. They had told us a week to 10 day and they would be back to install. They needed to stick with that time frame. They came 3 days later. Only to find out that their guess about it being the motherboard was incorrect and now they had to contact the manufacturer to get the schematic, why they didn't have this prior to diagnosing it in the first place is beyond me. So another couple days go by and the repair guy comes back and decides it's the motor. On a dryer that was 2 months old when it died. At that point we told the repair person, we do not want this dryer. We want to return it. He said they would probably just replace it. I called the Abbotsford store the next day, and lo and behold, it's Natasha that answers the phone. She knew who we were, as she referred to it as "the McMaster dryer". She immediately started making excuses, which pissed off an already pissed off customer even more. When I said, we just want to return it and get our money back, her immediate response was, we don't do refunds. When I said you make sure to get your vacations though right, who cares about your unhappy customers. Her response was, I am entitled to time off. I guess her customers being entitled to a dryer that works, was asking for too much. I told her I would be writing a bad review, she told me she didn't care. I gave her my email address and asked that she email me the contact information for her manager and the number for the service department, which she said she would, but 3 weeks later she never has. No one contacted us to let us know that you had decided to just put in a new motor until we contacted the store. At which time my husband stated we want our money back and Natasha again said, we don't do refunds. The repair, of course, was scheduled for the usual week to 10 days. We had already waited the week to 10 days, why did we have to wait another week to 10 days to have a repair person come out? They made the incorrect diagnoses. Today, almost six weeks after the dryer died, the repair person came with a new motor, unfortunately(for us), it was the wrong motor. So here we sit with a dryer that does not work and a company that doesn't care. Three more weeks and it will have been broken for as long as it ever worked. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.
