I have gone to the Om Shoppe and Spa for massages the past 6 years, after moving to Sarasota. The staff is beyond welcoming, but the massages are done so well, are priced so well, and that is why I kept going back! I got gift cards for family and friends over the years- and shopped quite a bit in the store. They will do an aura/chakras test first to see which chakras you are low in, talk through the possibilities of why, and then they will focus on those in the massages. Owner is super nice, it's a relaxed and friendly boutique with a vast selection of stones, sound baths and many other great items. I had an appointment, scheduled two weeks prior, for a hypnotherapy appointment with Beth Snyder. Three hours before the scheduled consultation, she cancels it via email and then sends an insulting email thanking me for understanding but her book is full. How do you do this a few hours before the appointment? Had I done this, I would have been charged a fee (as noted in the cancellation email she sent me). A phone call would have been the right thing to do. This displayed a lack of regard and professionalism. This behavior is very disappointing and seems to contradict their mission, as described on their website. read more

Even listening to her talk to a customer on the phone is an experience - she is just a sincere, authentic person who gets to know her customers. I received my excellent chakra massage from Shannon. I get massage often at home and on vacation. I believe it is vital to health and wellness. I was visiting Sarasota for two weekend training intensives and primarily needed de-stressing. Shannon was professional and responsive to my individual issues. She was just the right amount of engaging without excessive chatting. I know this is a hard balance to strike and I appreciated what I thought was her being attuned to my responses. The Om Shoppe FEELS amazing. It's such a beautiful atmosphere with so much love woven through it all. The staff are super friendly and have always made me feel really comfortable. Sometimes I would go in really ungrounded, feeling not much myself and regardless of what I was like at the time, I always felt held in a bubble of love. I recently had an IET session with Cindy, and holy wow! I've never experienced such a release. It was beyond powerful and shifted a lot for me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! The treatment rooms are out of this world, just so so beautiful and the addition of the singing bowls really made it such an enjoyable experience. Wow wow wow I LOVED everything about this place. I had driven by it for years and am so glad I finally stopped and had a treatment here. My massage from Christa was better than any massage I've ever had (I've had so many over the years) sound bowls, bio mat, warm Himalayan salt bag (which I ended up buying two great for muscle aches and cramps) will recommend to everyone. Hello I was there today and I've been there in the past twice and I've had great experiences both times. I know it's been a while since I've been there but somehow today's massage was not the best experience I've had. I felt no connection with the massage therapist. I felt no relaxation whatsoever. I recall the first time I came there, the combination of the crystals that the massage therapist used on me & the lights up above changing colors...I felt such a deep spiritual connection to a higher power and I actually got teary eyed. I have not had that experience today and I'm disappointed because when I come there it's for extreme relaxation & spiritual enlightenment and I didn't feel it today. I wonder why I didn't. I'm disappointed with today's experience. I don't know if it was the massage therapist or if it was me but either way I don't know if I'm ever going to return. I belong to Massage Envy which is a monthly membership massage place and I go there to get my deep tissue massages monthly so when I come to The Om Shoppe it's for pure relaxation and the use of the crystals and personalizing the massage to me. Using crystals that are going to help me align my chakras and today I had no communication with the massage therapist at all. She didn't ask me any questions and my massage felt universal...it didn't feel customized to me and that's what I was hoping for. read more

My girlfriend and I came from out of town to have a Sound Wave Attunement our appointment wasn't until 1:45 and arrived at 11:00. We spent the whole time looking through the store and learning about healing stones ect. The owner was so welcoming and knowledgeable she even did a Aura reading on us and explained everything so clearly. We truly enjoyed our treatment with the Sound Wave and the girl who did it was awesome that I had to go back three days later with my husband so he can experience it. Such a wonderful and relaxing and caring place to go.....as soon as you walk in everyone greats you like family and will talk with you and get to know you and Nancy is AMAZING ! I have taken my brother, my dad, my boyfriend, and myself in for massages and they are awesome! Carolyn helped my dad tremendously when he was having a hard time walking and equilibrium problems and Christa was amazing too and helped my boyfriend with his back soreness due to being a mechanic! Wonderful! Lovely shop, lovely people, and the experience is far beyond what you get at a usual spa, even the holistic spas don't provide all that The Om Shoppe provides. I left feeling not just relaxed, but uplifted! The crystal chakra attunement massage was absolutely great, Kathy is a great therapist. And I loved the use of singing bowls too. In addition, Kathy is a numerologist and talked with me about my numbers, which was very interesting! Plus, they give you an aura reading along with a report on your aura/chakras and which are strong and which might need some attention, also very interesting! Just a great experience! I can't personally speak to the spa portion of the business, but purchased a massage and chakra clearing for my mother for Mother's Day, and she was so refreshed and relaxed, it was really brilliant. The store is full of crystals, some of which I can't find anywhere else, and they all come with information cards, which extremely helpful when you are using them for energy treatments. The whole location has a pleasant calm about it, and the staff are extremely nice and very helpful. The crystal bowl collection is what initially brought me in from Orlando. They have a great variety of sizes and almost all the chakra tones in every size. And if you've never played one before, now is your chance! The staff will teach you how, and it's amazing. Just walking in is a little peace bath. They also have a website where you can purchase the products and reserve spa services.
