I was looking around for local nail salons that had great reviews but were also reasonably priced. That's when I found One Nail Spa. I gave them a call and asked for the price of a pedicure. Turns out, this is one of the cheapest places for a pedicure in the whole area where there are tons of nail spas. I booked an appointment for later that day. Once I arrived, they told me they were ready for me. They told me to pick a color. I felt the color selection was decent, but not as much as most places. Though, I do get the most basic of colors so that wasn't an issue. They started working on my toenails, scrubbed the bottom of my feet, and massaged my legs and feet. It was lovely and comfortable. I definitely found myself relaxed. While I was getting my pedicure done, I did notice that some people were waiting to get their nails done. The nail spa is definitely a bit short-staffed so I do recommend booking an appointment. She meticulously cut my oddly shaped nails and painted them on. I was done within an hour and went to the drying fans. I had a pleasant and wonderful time. This is exactly what a nail salon experience should be. read more

I went in for a powder mani and reg pedi yesterday. I broke two nails, my normal salon/nail girl could not take me which put me in a pinch and they were the only local place with Saturday morn availability. Im not too particular with my feet, but with my hands it was a disaster. (Although her foot massage was painful more than relaxing, I was not a fan). I had almond nails, she asked if I wanted them cut. They were grown out so I said yes, she cut two down to the skin (my nails were fairly long) assuming I said square before I stopped her. She insisted it was my fault because I said I wanted them cut. I already needed two tips, so that put me to four. The thumb she cut too short making it completely uneven with the other hand which she said she would build up and then never did. Worst part is I had to pay for the extra tips even though it was HER fault and of course going forward I will need to pay for those extra tips until they grow out so she just cost me money. It should of been free and my service should of been discounted given what happened. I didn't have it in me to fight. She made multiple cuticles bleed and she was so aggressive with them they were red and swollen even with those that didn't bleed. The nails were filed in weird shapes, all different, not truly almond and partly square on top. They look so horrible I'll have to fix them myself. Didn't use all the standard layers of powder and only one layer of top coat was used and the lady was passive aggressive. I've done power since before it was popularized and I've never had a service finish that quickly. She was done (with tips) in 45 min. The pedi time was about average: I still gave her the 20 percent tip but I regret it because it was a miserable experience. She absolutely didn't deserve it but having worked in the service industry when I was younger I always feel bad tipping less than that. To owner response: To infer I'm lying is disrespectful. I did not want that length nor did I say I want square. I was asked to trim and show a small trim and then cut short into a square despite shown otherwise and I WAS charged for the mistake. I have been here many times before when I lived in the area and the one day I decided to go back, I had the worst experience EVER. I had my SNS powder removed, but during the process, Jenny did not do a good job. First, she did not even soak my nails in acetone then tore off my first and second finger nails of my right hand while attempting to ply off the SNS powder with an acrylic nail. Then she used the electric nail file on my dry nails, so of course it hurt when she filed too deep and I told her it hurt and even flinched; but no acknowledgment or apology. I wanted to do SNS powered again, but I told her I would just do a regular manicure since 2 of the nails were already short. The first finger of my right hand, she attempted to file but obviously that's the nail she tore off so I knew the skin was torn and I hope I do not get an infection. When it came time to pay, she did not hand me my full change and held onto her "tip" even after I asked her how much everything cost. I honestly should have gotten up and left after the few times I flinched and told her my nails hurt. I am very disappointed and should have asked to be seen by Cici instead. I want to mention that this was my first experience here and my review is based on shaping and gel polish application for both my mani and pedi. The people here were not warm but not cold towards me either. So the customer service was not something I can comment on and dont care to rate. I honestly don't even care for customer service as long as your not a POS, you do your job and I'll let you do your job without hovering. When I first walked in there was no other customer present, this is very important to remember as this annoys me while my experience progresses. Gel Pedicure: -Very light foot filing with little to no care, my heels were left feeling like sand paper. -Gel polish removal was not so great, she let the file get hot on my nail bed. -Polish application for my toes was not done well. I have an extra coat of top coat on one toes and the color was applied unevenly. Gel Manicure: The entire manicure was rushed. There was no reason for this. The size and shape were not checked, just quick snip and BS buffing without checking to see if the nail was even buffed properly. I would describe my gel mani as rough,quick and no attention to detail. - Terrible shaping. All of my nails are different sizes and shapes. I keep my nails short and square. - Polish application was also not well. The color is uneven and lighter in some areas. She also went back in with a file after my top coat polish cured so my edges are not polished and this nail polish will peel fairly quickly. I take this as a learning experience, don't trust a place that's empty, it's empty for a reason Queen. read more

Drove 40 minutes to get our nails done and was excited because of the great reviews. Once I walked inside with my sister to get our nails done, we were not greeted. My sister said "hi we're here to get acrylic manicures" and a woman coldly asked, "do you have an appointment?" My sister replied saying, "no we do not" and the woman responded well we are all booked for appointments, come back tomorrow. I then cut in explaining that we just drove 40 minutes and there wasn't any indication about appointments being needed. Her only response to that was, "so do you want to come back tomorrow?" I was searching for a nail salon in the Maspeth area and reading the reviews listed, I was not impressed so my friend referred me to this spot. This spot is a hole in a wall located next to the TD bank and across the street from the Liquidators. This place is new and I wanted to get French manicure and pedicure. Masks are required and it is advisable to call and make an appointment. I walked in and I was the only customer there so they accommodated me. The French manicure cost $15 and the pedicure is $20. The owner helped with picking the right colors for the French manicure. The person who performed the service (I don't recall her name) did a great job while staying safe. The pedicure chair had their own USB ports to charge devices and free wireless to keep the customers entertained while being pampered. My toenails and fingernails are still well-maintained since my visit 10 days ago. I definitely will return to get another manicure and pedicure when I am in the neighborhood. read more

Decided to get a full set of acrylics for vacation. I knew from the pictures that this place would be hit or miss but I was in the area and the salon that I usually go to doesn't do that type of nail extension. And so I came here against my better judgment...unfortunately it was a miss. This place is pretty no-frills. The color selection is not as extensive as most places, which was disappointing. Customer service was fine and the environment was clean. Pricing was fair ($30 for acrylic + $5 for the shape + $15 for gel polish) but I regret spending the money. My nails came out just okay. That's being generous. The more I look at them the less I like them. The gel application could have been cleaner (there is some on my skin) and many of my nails are crooked, most noticeably on my left thumb (I pointed it out and she re-filed it but I don't think it could have been fixed without taking the tip completely off and reapplying it). I also would have liked for my cuticles to be cleaned up - I asked one of the workers after the nails were done and she was happy to oblige but she had already put the cuticle oil on so it was hard to see where the dry skin was. I just did it the best I could when I got home. Overall mediocre experience. I would be less annoyed if I hadn't paid extra for the shape and the gel polish but that's on me. Luckily I don't get my nails done regularly and will be taking these off in 2 weeks if I can stand them for that long. I hope they last through the week at least. read more

Went to get my SNS powder nails with tips & a matte finish. Coffin shaped. Cici did my nails. I just showed her the picture & she was able to give me exactly what wanted. I would defiantly go back. The products used were top brands & good quality. The salon was very clean. Each table had a lamp fan that vacuumed up the nail particles from filing. So there wasn't white dust everywhere!!!! Very impressive. The salon is fairly new & doesn't have a lot of powered gel color options. I'm sure their collection will grow. It's fairly priced & parking is easy in this area. I've been coming here for a few months now and every time I visit I am impressed. Cici is amazing at acrylics and my pedicure from here lasted almost two/three weeks with just regular polish! Alan S. who is the owner replies very fast on Yelp, and there is no communication problem when I call the store. They have fun shows and movies playing on their flatscreen at all times so customers are well entertained! As for prices, it is pretty decent. It is regularly $25-30 for coffin/almond medium length nails, with gel would make it $45-50 I believe? Pedicures are $20! I really recommend getting gel polish as it dries faster and doesn't mess up or chip until two weeks after. Cici is also great at nail art! Show her anything and she can do it! read more

This review is long over due. I really do love this place. Not only is it super clean and convenient to get to, but the services are reasonably priced and the staff is amazing. I usually come here for a gel mani and pedi. They always execute the design I request and make me feel very comfortable throughout the whole thing. They accommodated me and my sisters last Sunday and had the 4 of us out of there in under 2 hrs and happy. Unfortunately, my design chipped the next day, which had never happened before. With out hesitation I was invited back to fix it up. I couldn't be happier and will definitely be coming back sooner rather than later. read more

It seems like a nice place with a lot of great reviews for acrylics, but don't go here for powder (SNS). They do a gel top coat on the SNS and still use UV light, which I've never had done before. It cracked in 2 days and all nails were chipped and falling off within 10 days (my SNS usually lasts 3 weeks). I went back after 2 days to fix it, which they did for free, and it still chipped. When I went to get it taken off at another salon, it came off more easily then gel!! I've never had such a thin, short lasting SNS. Overall, it's clean with cute movies playing in the back. Cici and Amy are both nice! I just wouldn't recommend it at all for powder. read more

Young lady who did my feet was very thorough. Took her time, did a great job with the cleaning and cut my toes short like I asked. Cici took care of my nails, also took her time to ensure she followed a routine, took off the old powder without buffing them off making sure not to damage my nail.
