The inside of this salon is so pretty and quiet. Walked in for a quick pedicure. Was seated within five minutes. They list all the prices on a sign and if you want special polishes, they offer that too. Really appreciate their list up front, so you don't have to constantly ask them. The pedicure itself was very clean and sanitary. The technician working on my toes asked me beforehand if I wanted any extra services such as callus removal. That was very considerate. They use new tools and new liners during the pedicure, which is a plus! Overall the service was great. Definetly would go back as summer is approaching.
DO NOT GO HERE. *trigger warning* I hate to write this, but I feel compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, I had the worst gel manicure and regular pedicure of my life at this salon. My nail technician was Linda, and she was extremely rough. I'm not sure how she was trained, but she was by far the harshest tech I've ever encountered. She was not gentle at all and even caused my foot to bleed profusely when she scrubbed and applied the callus remover too aggressively. Despite my telling her it was too rough, she continued. (See photos--my foot bled through my sock after the visit.) Even ruined the white sneakers I was wearing due to the blood. The same roughness continued during my gel manicure, even though I asked her to be gentler multiple times. At one point, I wanted to walk out mid manicure, and when I requested more care, I could hear her complaining about me to a coworker. Looking back, I regret tipping her as much as I did. I'm really disappointed with my experience--Linda's technique and professionalism are far below what should be expected, and this service was not worth the wait or the money. Take your business else where.

They were very gracious with me as I came in not knowing what I initially got since my best friend was the one who booked us at a different salon about a month ago. It took about an hour and a half to get my nails done, including removal. Mia was so thorough with her work and I loved it. She perfectly got the length I wanted. This nail spot is very excellent with their SNS! There's many colors to choose from!! I got 009, a quite creamsicle yet pinky appealing look. The service is very gentle, relaxing and it'll make you feel like princess. My lady fixed up my dusty cuticles and made my fingers feel so smooth. I reccomend you make an appointment, it tends to get really busy especially during the weekdays too! Walk-ins might take a while, but it is worth it.

Nail polish chosen, shoes/socks off and in my seat. Being in the salon, I realized I had neglected my feet they were looking ROUGH. I know they spoke about it in their native tongue . Anyways, I paid $10 for callous removal treatment( It was needed). My nails were filed, they applied nails on my toes and used UV light ro them. I had my toes painted a cute pale pink. I paid $50+ $3 credit card charge + $10 dollar tip. The service was okay. The nail polish color is changing ( bring your own polish), and 1 nail fell off. Might give them another chance.

Had a bit of a time finding it because the location is in a residential area, and I second guessed myself and turned around. No worry because they called me at by 2 minutes after my appointment, figuring I was lost. One person came outside the salon and stood until I saw her. Once inside, I was in heaven. Jack was amazing. He is attentive and intuitive to his client's needs. The salon is clean and the techs are kind and considerate. I decided I needed a pedicure definitely since spring time and decided to check this nail salon not too far from home. Took a nice walk there . I was on time and was actually surprised there was a customer as well as two ladies because I was early and punctual. I did call to make an appointment day before. I like the ambiance. A big bright window that lets in all this beautiful natural light and it's on a residential block so quiet for the most part except the ups, usps and neighbors parking their cars. Price was reasonable considering I went definitely for gel pedicure and they suggested same for manicure since I mentioned my nails have been breaking easily lately so the powder gel will strengthen and it did! Came back today for my second mani and pedi. Made an appointment for 1:30. I arrived at 1:15 and didnt leave until after 4:00. My technician Jax was working with a other client when I arrived so someone else soaked my nails and did my pedicure. Jax was available appr ten minutes afterwards. My second visit didn't go as well as my first visit. I won't say I am disappointed but I feel overall it could have been better. My experience with Jax this time felt rushed. He was rougher in handling. A few times I said ouch he apologized each time. I also think he was rushing because he might have been hungry. He warmed up his lunch before finishing with me. I saw him work with his prior client and he looked to really be taking his time same as when I first went. I'm not going to give up on Jax just yet. The next time I will book my appointment in advance first thing with him. I am pleased with the work today, he completed a custom nail request for me on both occasions this time I opted for something more simple because I needed to return to work after my visit with them. Nails are shaped well and looks good but the services received were uncomfortable at times to which I responded to let him know. I have been a loyal client of F&T for 6 years, and have gotten powder manicures and spa pedicures consistently over these years. I appreciate how patient and kind they are to accommodate my requests due to my pickiness when it comes to my nail shape. They also accommodate me whenever I need a nail repaired. I highly recommend this salon because of their customer service, cleanliness, and, of course, the skill that goes into the work they do. read more

Update 2021. I recently moved so I don't live close to F&T anymore, but I did stop in for a last minute appt (1/4) because my regular place wasn't available and I really needed my nails done. The place takes precaution during COVID19 pandemic which is much appreciated. I also noted all workers and customers wearing proper PPE. I did SNS with Emily. I don't know why, but I noticed that Emily was in a rush (though the salon was not busy). I also did not appreciate Emily who began to file my nails without asking me if I prefer my nails long, short, nor did she inquire about particular shape (square, oval, almond etc). When I spoke up about her cutting my nails a bit shorter, she just told me she will file down some more....ok. She also put 3 layers of the SNS powder, which made my nailbeds look super thick. I am not a fan. I am aware that SNS is supposed to be thick, but I am sure its not supposed to look so top heavy like this. She also rushed through my shape at the end which didn't do anything for me. And the final massage was mediocre. As per my previous review - I have done SNS with Lisa at this place, who is absolutely excellent. Refer to old photos. You can clearly see the difference in technical skill between nail techs. Won't be back unless I am strictly working with Lisa. read more

This is my third time in at F and T Nail Spa in 5 years! The last two times the owner did a great job with my SNS manicure, and someone else had had done my pedicure (no complaints there). Today, the owner had someone else do my mani/pedi, and while she was nice and gentle, her service felt a bit rushed, especially during the manicure. I tipped her nearly 30% before she started on my mani (pedi was done and looked good), so I figured she would be more careful with the mani, but each coat of polish seemed slightly on the thicker side, and I worried that it would get ruined before I even got home. Also, it wasn't until she brought me to the fan station that I noticed that there were some air bubbles in my nails, proving that she went too thick on the coats. I was tempted to say something, but she had just sat down with another customer, so I let it be. In summary, the pedi was good but the mani could've been a lot better. I don't feel as satisfied with my nails as I should, especially since I paid $45 and I only get my nails done about once a year for special occasions (graduation, weddings, vacations), but I would still come back. I'd probably just get an SNS mani next time so there's less chances of that going awry lol read more

I brought in pictures of what I wanted and they really listened. The prices are reasonable too. I got tips with sns dip powder. My nails have lasted 3 weeks, no chips, no breaks!!!! read more

This place is my fave by far. My nail has grown a lot the past 4 weeks but the polish is still looking great and no chips. They charge tax for using credit card! Would definitely make reservations if you're trying to get a weekend slot. read more

My sister and I are regular customers here, but no longer will I spend money at this business. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed at Lily who is the owner of this nail salon. My sister booked CINDY, a technician that Lily recommended to her. My sister saw the technician's nail color which was a deep red color and she requested that color for her SNS powder manicure. Cindy suggested a color and tried it on my sister and my sister disliked it and it was removed off one nail and so she re-suggested another red color and told her this is most likely the color that matches (which was completely off). During the entire time, she kept talking shit about my sister in Chinese and my sister understood everything she said. We are Chinese American. Not only was that rude, and disrespectful but while she kept talking shit to her coworker, she filed way too much of my sister's nail and my sister started to bleed. Still my sister told her that this is not the red she wanted; however, Cindy disregarded it and said yeah it's like a red orange color. The entire time my sister was unhappy with her nails and she told me that Cindy continued to be disrespectful by speaking Mandarin to another employee about her in front of my sister's face. After I was done with my nails, she told me and I talked to Lily for her and told her that my sister requested RED and she got RED ORANGE and she cut my sister where she ended up bleeding. And what was Lily's response? She rolled her eyes and said sorry (not genuinely) and sat back down to attend to another customer. She said "it was too late because she already did all her nails, next time you need to tell her you don't like it. Try on one nail and then remove it if she doesn't like it". LILY, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT MY SISTER DID. YOUR EMPLOYEE MESSED UP THE COLOR 2x already. Also, I would like to mention that when you do SNS powder, the color is NEVER the same color as the sample in the book so you will never know the color until the top coat is colored. So seeing how the first powdery color is on your nail does not justify what the true final color is. I couldn't believe the unprofessional-ism of the owner, Lily and the other nail technician, Cindy. That left me a very bad taste in my mouth. I will most likely go somewhere else. Lily did not care about the situation at hand itself and did not do anything to make the situation right. From that moment, I knew she did not care about any of her customers. The place is like a factory, to go speed through every customer as soon as possible. You cant retain customers like that. Maybe you guys need to learn to treat your customers better otherwise you will continue losing business. My tip to you. read more

Went here without an apt. on a Friday morning. They rushed my mani pedi but the gel came out beautiful! Two weeks later and my nails still look like I just got them done. If my nails didn't grow as fast as they do, I would have let the gel stay on longer. 100% recommended read more
Walked in on a holiday weekend and they accommodated 3 mani pedis. They were fast, and efficient. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The other customers who seem to be regulars had no problem waiting when we took their spots. We will be back. read more

Got my nails done for a wedding this week and I'm very glad I found this place. I haven't had my nails done in about 2 years purely out of saving money- but my experience here was so awesome- it makes me want to visit regularly! I had SNS powder done and I am loving it. It does make your nails a bit thicker, but they feel strong. It's only been one day so far and it looks perfect- I usually chip my polish almost instantly so this is already a huge step up. I'll post an update again in 2 weeks about how the nails fare. Lisa was awesome and took her time perfecting my nails. I also had a pedi done as part of the SNS Mani Pedi combo. The pedi itself was great but felt a bit basic- I'm not sure if its because I got a combo deal- but I definitely want to try adding on the spa stuff next time. I'm not loving the polish color because it looks too sheer, but that's a me problem. I should have asked for another coat. On the note of color- it was tough to match the SNS powder color to a regular color, but I think I got pretty close. I'd say that's the only drawback of SNS- getting an exact match for your toes. They give you a shoulder massage while your nails dry and the pedi chair also has a massage. They take cards, the salon is clean and service is friendly. Overall I am so happy and can't wait to go back. Be sure to make an appointment! Update 6/21: My nails lasted a whole month! Very happy with and highly recommend SNS powder. read more

Unfortunately my nail polish after coming here only lasted less than 1 day, I have no done any vigorous hand washing or washed dishes or anything of the sort, I know regular polish sometimes chips easier but unfortunately I don't think I'll come back after it last less then 24 hrs read more

I've been here before for my birthday nails and I was pleased with their work. But this time around, I am honestly so disappointed. To start off with, I had a pedicure and a SNS manicure done. The pedicure was done well and I had no complaints. The real trouble started when the nail tech began to do my manicure. Before even starting my manicure, I showed the nail tech two different photos of what I had in mind of doing. This way, she would be able to tell me if she would even be able to do that. Once we started, I was already confused when she did not begin comparing the length & width of my nails to make sure that they were all even. I even asked her if she would file them again, to which she said yes. They still ended up being different shapes even after her doing so. I originally wanted a line going down my ring finger in an accent color. When she put it on, it looked messy so I asked if she had any other designs (like stickers) which are used under the gel top coat. She began to get annoyed by my questions and began to talk loudly to her coworkers. At that point I was over it and I just wanted to leave. She ended up doing a heart ( I guess it looks like a heart ? ) In conclusion, I won't be returning. Be upfront with your customers if you aren't able to meet their expectations or provide a high quality of work. read more

Would not come back here. Had to return after 2 days because one of my SNS powder nails chipped and they took a look and noticed every single one of my nails were cracking. They knew they had to do them again as it was not my fault and must have just been a poor job by my manicurist who was in a rush. Then just a few days after redoing all of them, two more of them cracked!! I don't understand how you can mess up so poorly after redoing them!! Not to mention the owner was rude to me the first time I came in and made me show my nail card to prove I got my manicure done there and not at some other place! I felt like I had done something wrong when they were the ones at fault! I did not even receive an apology. The worst part of it all is now after completely removing all of my nails, I see that I have fungus on two of them! They must not properly clean their equipment because this has never happened to me before. Make sure they are being clean when you go because I get my nails done every 3 weeks at other salons and I have never had fungus before this! read more

It's been 5 days and my nails still look amazing (I know I know it's sns .... but they just are so well done). I have been going for almost a year now and normally will go to any lady; however, this time I had Lily and she gave me a marble nail design. It's perfect. The absolute best dip powder manicure and gel pedicures in Forest Hills! I've been going here for almost two years and I have not been disappointed once. They definitely take their time and I can get my mani to last for 3-4 weeks with no chipping. Best to call and make an appointment the day before you'd like to go because everyone knows how great this spot is (gets full fast, especially during limited capacity from COVID). Prices are super reasonable also. I pay $75 for both mani and pedi. read more

Finally got my nails done as NYC entered Phase 3 and F & T Nail Spa was extremely clean and safe. The pedicure chairs have plastic coverings all around, front & sides. The manicure chairs have a protective clear screen as well. Lisa did my SNS manicure & pedicure, and it was great. Can't wait to come back again! read more
