I am so tired of establishments charging an arm and a leg for less than stellar service. The pretentious policy and shoddy work don't align with the cost. I booked a service in February. I was going back and forth about a design, in which the person working there was of no help including the Tech that was a "Pro". After some time, I decided to do a French with 2 small hearts on 2 nails. Apparently, that's considered "Complex nail art". The tech who had a mask and heavy accent told me the price in which I clearly didn't understand until I went to pay. YES, I was upset that my nails cost me $150 (no extension etc) when I went to check out! Despite me being surprised, I STILL TIPPED HER (something I regret had I known they would deny me service moving forward). What's more upsetting is that I had to CONTINUOUSLY CORRECT THE TECH (a "pro") while she was doing my nails. Why am I paying so much money and she can't make sure the white on my tips are actually covering the nails properly? Why did she leave actual gel on the sides of my cuticles? Lastly, why did I pay $150 and had BUBBLES IN MY NAIL BED? I showed the girl at the desk, and she HAPPILY TOOK MY MONEY DESPITE SEEING THE BUBBLES. Let me guess, that's all my fault too, right? You think they cared about the actual work done on my nails? HA! Yet, I'm supposed to happily fork over my money for mediocre work and accept it? You guys did me a favor by denying me service. If I could do 2.5 stars, I'd give them that but I chose 3 for the benefit of the doubt. I made an appointment for an early afternoon Tuesday & the place (obviously) wasn't busy. It's on the 2nd floor but the entrance door on the street doesn't stand out enough. This was my first time trying out a Russian mani / pedi & which the pedi is waterless so I had high hopes in coming to this salon. I give my pedicure a 5 /5 because I'm still very satisfied with the results. The staff member tending to my feet didn't quite speak English well so another employee had to assist, but she was overall pleasant and paid attention to detail on my toes. I asked for a simple one-color white polish, which was executed perfectly. Cuticles & callous who? I love the seamless look to the polish plus my heels feel smoother than ever. I think I've changed my mind when it comes to those standard spa pedicures. Now for my manicure... I'm disappointed in the results. During the service, I appreciated the employee making sure I was content with the shape and color choice of polish. Otherwise everything else was terrible. I could already tell she was judgy from the very looks she gave me, even tho she was wearing a face mask. She nicked several of my cuticles which can be seen in the photos; no apology nor acknowledgement if I was okay. I should've stopped there but I had already paid a deposit & didn't wanna lose out on the experience. It seemed like she took her time but in reality she didn't do quite the job I was expecting. I've provided photos of my mani the next day & 1 week post services. The lighting adjusts the color of my polish but I was mainly focusing on my cuticles and the paint job that I was given. $80 Russian gel mani on natural nails + $90 Smart pedicure with gel + $15 tip each employee. Would I return to this salon? I'm leaning more towards no mostly because I didn't have such a great first impression here other than my pedicure. Would I try the services again? I asked for a regular polish, since I'm not quite ready to commit to the upkeep that comes with gel. Pricing as of June 2025: pedicure is $70, and a polish (gel or regular) is an additional $10. Earlier this year I came in as a model for the new nail tech, so I paid low amount and the tech gains her experience. I received Maria and although there was a language barrier, the lady at the front was super helpful and translated. I love my nails and I feel like the work was so detailed and careful, which for me is amazing , as I am a very detailed person and if I notice one streak or something I am not happy. I watched some videos on Tik Tok and read reviews on Didi Nails. Everyone raved about this salon so I made my appointment. The salon is on the second floor and really cute inside. All the staff are so attentive. As soon as you walk in, they greet you with a smile and take your jacket to hang up. All the nail techs are amazing. Depending on the nail techs skill level is how much you will pay. I pay $80 for my pedicure and $90 for my manicure. It's totally worth every penny. My nails last long and are so healthy. How it works is you get a manicure and pedicure at the same time. My appointment takes like 2 1/2 hours. My nails always look phenomenal and so clean. After my first appointment, I was sold. I've never gone anywhere else. I highly recommend this salon. You won't regret it! read more

Unfortunately, will not be going back. Less than 2 weeks in and my gel nails have severe lifting. I had to cut my nail to prevent more lifting but then the other side of the nail started lifting already. It's a little frustrating to pay for a more pricey manicure to have a nail set that was supposed to last at least 3-4 weeks. They mentioned that the nail shape of squoval is prone to lifting when I reached out to them a few days ago. This was not made known to me at the time of the procedure... I was so impressed I asked to book the manicure too! They were very gracious and allowed me to add a manicure. It's very professional and the noise level is low. You can really relax while being service. Great location in queens you have the M train, Q58, Q60, Q53 and Q59 all right there. I saw someone mention rules, yes they have rules, but nothing that I consider unreasonable. They are professionals booked and busy! They do respect our time and we should respect their. I found DidiNailsNY on Reddit when I was searching for a highly rated salon who does Russian manicures. I had never tried them before but I've heard amazing things! On the Reddit thread for Astoria, I saw several people recommend DidiNailsNY. While this business is located in Forest Hills, the buzz made it seem worth the drive. I made an appointment on their website with the nail tech Tonya. When I arrived, I was greeted right away and brought to my chair. Tonya did an amazing job on nail prep- literally spent an hour cleaning my cuticles and nail beds! Before she started adding color, I decided I wanted to add some flowers to two of my nails. She had me show her a photo and was to happy to do it. In total, the service took two hours and cost $90 ($80 for the manicure and +$5 per nail design). I am thrilled with how they came out and I can't wait to return for future services- this place is worth the travel! Also- they had an INSANE selection of nail colors. I'm someone who got my nails done bi weekly for YEARS and I've never gotten a better nail service with so many options to choose from. Check them out! I've been coming here since 07/06/2023.(2 Years now) I am a very loyal costumer never complain always on time, I barely ever reschedule my appointment or ever cancel. I started coming here and fell in love how Kama did my nails ever since the start MY APPOINTMENTS were always with her.(I DONT LIKE CHANGE). Kama left in February. So I've been bounced around ever since trying to find someone that can do my nails how I like them. On MAY 15, 2025 I got my nails done by Aigerim and a week later I had lifting and a broken nail which never used to happen before. They were kind enough to fit me in with someone else in their Queens location Muslima which I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE REPAIR!! so much so I cancelled my appt in the city and reschedule 3 weeks later with her.
