He also was VERY chauvinistic toward me during my consultation, I should have listened to this "red flag", but he had all the required education I was looking for. I would NOT recommend HIM at all, I am writing this review to hopefully save someone else the pain & suffering he caused me. Several months after my procedure I found out my insurance company paid them. I called the office, it seems they received insurance payment & had no intention of reimbursing me. He also said that taking 800mg of advil was too much instead of recognizing that meant I was in significant pain ( along with 1gm of tylenol and 20mg of oxycodone) he was more concerned that my liver would go bad.( that is not gonna happen from a couple doses of advil buddy) He acted like I WANTED a root canal. I spent about an hour at the appointment and ultimately left without receiving any cleaning at all. After the initial exam, I was told I would need a deep cleaning instead of a standard cleaning, and that I needed to schedule a different day. When I asked if I could just proceed with a basic cleaning as I had waited a few weeks for this appointment, I was told they could do one if I "signed a waiver", after agreeing to this she changed her mind and said she "ethically" couldn't do a basic cleaning on me. To give more context, I am in early stages of perio as most people are when they age. I have no bone loss, and the majority of my "pockets" are in the 2s and 3s with some molars in the 4s and 5s. I am not categorized as someone that desperately needs dental work by far. I've had four cavities my entire life, and was told I had none at this appointment as well. I can't help but think this was somehow a money grab. The staff member was polite and professional throughout, but to be told that without agreeing to a much more expensive treatment, I wouldn't receive any cleaning at all was so strange. I wound up later being quoted about $1500 for the cleaning she said I needed. I understand wanting to provide appropriate care, but I would have appreciated clearer communication ahead of time and more flexibility in options as not everyone has dental insurance or $1500 laying around for basic dental care. I also want to mention that I was surprised to learn this clinic is part of a larger corporate group. It presents itself like a local, standalone practice, so I didn't realize the connection until the day before my appointment when they called to say I had been to one of their other locations previously and therefore didn't qualify for the new patient pricing. That part was fine, but it felt misleading since the other clinic has a completely different name and is in another city. I had no idea the two were connected--especially since I hadn't had a great experience at that prior location--so that added to the overall frustration.

On Friday at 5:15 PM, a nightmare scenario unfolded: my front crown and tooth completely fell out. I was incredibly shaken and embarrassed. The thought of facing the weekend with a gap in my smile was devastating. Thankfully, I called Dr. Weisbrod, and to my immense relief, he squeezed me in at 6:45 PM that same day. His willingness to help during an emergency like that was just incredible. Dr. Weisbrod was wonderful. He immediately put me at ease, clearly explained all the options for restoring my tooth, and expertly provided a temporary fix. I was so grateful to be able to face the weekend without that missing tooth. Even better, he scheduled me for a permanent solution appointment within the same week! I've been to other dentists and they've attempted to get my gums numb to fill my cavity and they never could which attributed to my fear. Dr. Jones tried a different way to numb and it worked. Despite this, my entire half day was wasted before they completed my cleaning. Six months later, I returned for my scheduled appointment only to be told I had to complete the same small X-rays or "take my business somewhere else." although they already completed panoramic X-rays. They wasted my time at both appointments, as if I didn't have work or other responsibilities. The lack of professionalism, communication, and compassion was extremely disappointing.

I left my last dentist because she does not accept Medicare Advantage. I do have gum disease, however, my pockets have been holding steady at 5's for the last 20 years. Is it a coincidence that within one year of seeing this hygienist, my pockets have all of the sudden increased to 7's? I guess I'll never know the answer to that. My last appointment with them was for a cleaning in October of 2024. During this appointment Yer Lee (the hygienist), pierced my lower lip with her dental tools. It took approximately 1 1/2 weeks for the swelling to go down. Her reaction to the piercing was: "It's ok". My reaction: "No it's NOT OK". She also smeared fluoride all over my teeth (even though in my last appointment, I specifically stated that I don't want that treatment. After researching it, I found that the ADA states " Fluoride must be ingested, topical fluoride is ineffective". Plus, I have a bridge for my upper 6 teeth (i.e. they are fake teeth). Yer Lee is obviously not smart enough to realize that fluoride, even if the ADA had thought that it was effective, can NOT be absorbed by fake teeth. When I called to cancel my next appointment and ask that my dental records be sent to my new dentist, the office staff wasn't even curious as to WHY I was leaving their facility for another. Her attitude was almost as if they get lots of these requests.

It was a long procedure and the dentist and his assistance checked in with me multiple times to see how I was doing and helping me to be comfortable. Initially the front office had told me that they would not be able to verify my insurance because it was the weekend (and even suggested that I might come back the next day), but when the crown procedure was diagnosed and recommended they were able to verify the insurance (which covered 50 percent of the cost). Very glad to have landed in this office and might choose to use them for non-emergency dental work as well.
