My buddy told me that they have Shawarma on Thursdays. It's fire and a great value. I got the beef plate and a chicken plate. Both were excellent hummus tasted very fresh. All the seasonings were on point and excellent sauces. They have a pomegranate sauce that I've never had before, and then a garlic sauce and tahini all three are best I've had. All the food is made right in front of you. Since I found this place a few months ago I think I've missed one Thursday. I think it's a local family business. Everybody is super friendly. read more

I am new to the area and love coming here. Just recently tried their pizza and it was delicious.

Always good vibes in here! Employees are very friendly , shelves are well organized , and they are always ready to make you something to eat . Our power went out so we stopped by trying to find some food, the woman behind the counter was about to close up but she stayed extra time to make sandwiches for us. We go through Action often . One day we were craving a good deli sandwich . So we looked up deli sandwiches nearby and the Original Acton Market popped up. In an effort to support small businesses we didn't hesitate to go there and order 2 deli Sandwiches. My husband got the pastrami and I got the Italian. The bread was good, my sandwich wasn't bad , the tomatoes and lettuce were fresh and the cheese and meats were good , it just wasn't for me. My husband's sandwich was small amount of pastrami, it was cut thicker then we are use to. The pastrami was also very tough and not very favorable. Won't be eating at that deli again. read more

I was staying in town at a local rv park and decided to go to this local market. I was there 3 weeks and I visited this market numerous times. I bought a rotisserie chicken there that smelled and looked old that I had to throw out. Every time I go in the owner stares at me everywhere I go. I can only assume it's because I'm black. It made me very uncomfortable so i took my business across the street to the other Acton Market. The service and products are much better at the other market. I will not be returning to this market when I'm in the area again. read more

Happened to be posting a letter at the USPS next door and stopped in to take advantage of the Kabob Plate offered on Saturdays only. A $10 plate includes either beef or chicken kabob with steamed rice, hummus (the best), green salad and pita. We ordered one of each with a couple of dolmas on the side. Everything was delicious and easily enough food for people. We'll be back! read more

EEEK how did this store get 5 stars? Was it a setup? The only reason I am giving this store 3 stars is that they had organic rice wine vinegar. The rest sort of grossed me out or say mostly the meat. I know aged meat is great but when it is in the cases and turning green, that is not a great thing. Phew, I buy a 1/4 - 1/2 grassfed Steer then aged beef a year and rarely purchase on the road. Still it really was unsettling. The produce section brought sadness too: Wilty lettuce and other sad produce. So just a few things purchased and happy on my way. I did love the outside minus the down and out dude making himself at home on the old saloon type deck. Pass on this place if going through again....bahhh read more

On our way home from visiting friends in Acton, we stopped by this little market just to get a soft drink. What we got was a whole experience! It was 9:45pm and we were greeted at the door by a man sitting outside seemingly enjoying the beautiful night air. After finding our drink (at a reasonable price) we wandered back through the isle's noticing how clean everything was. We also observed a nice selection of groceries. When we got to the counter to pay for our drink, that same man that greeted us at the door was there to ring us up. After brief chit chat we learned in short order about all the other things this market had to offer. Abraham was so pleasant and eager to show us what he had to offer in the deli area of the store that we couldn't help but follow him. He didn't just point out pans of deli food through the window, nope, he pulled out some pita bread and presented us with a sampling of this amazing home-made yogurt/mint in olive oil that was like nothing else I've tried. He went on to tell us how he and wife prepare all the food there from scratch including the herbs they dry inside and hand rub into fine crumbs. Were we not so tired and full from our dinner, we could've had another amazing feast. We left with our soft drinks, a take-out menu and at his insistence a complimentary sampling of his wife's Baklava! We look forward to going back to sample more of his unusual selection of middle-eastern cuisine. I hope the fine folks of Acton discover and support this market. read more

This is such a nicely kept store where you are not overwhelmed nor underwhelmed by it's appearance. You can navigate through the store and find what you need and it's set up makes sense. The nicest thing is the hidden things that being Mediterranean food made from scratch and Pizza made from scratch and way reasonable at 7.00 for a large pizza tossed right before your eyes. Abe and his lovely wife are so sweet and kind. They get to know you on a first name basis and are right there to assist you without hesitation. I suggest you give them a try and especially for this Pizza as it is going to take Acton's heart once you start. . I'm giving this store 4 stars because overall they have good service and they have a good selection. My only issue with the store is that I like buying their $5.99 pizzas, but it's not consistent. I order the same pepperoni pizza and it's different every time, different crust, different flavor, different size, And I have bubbles in the crust all over the pizza. Now the the pizzas went up to $6.99 ( I get it ) I'm not complaining about the price, it's just last time my pizza was horribly made. read more

I've been in a few times and the people are generally friendly. The selection is okay for a small town store, but often doesn't have what I came to get. For all that, I'd give it 3 stars. But when you get charged extra for using a credit card and being three cents under $10 I'm a bit upset. Yes, there's a sign. One of many signs that I saw, but didn't know I had to read. I guess I'm upset because it would have been so simple for the checker to mention there was an extra charge and ask if I'd like to grab something more. I would have thanked her and grabbed a candy bar or something. As it is, I feel cheated and don't plan to go back, especially when there's another store just a block away. read more

This place is what a small town store is all about. Super friendly staff, incredible deli, and meat counter. The baked goods are all hand made on site, and are incredible. the homemade hummus, tabouli, and guacamole are the best I have ever tasted (I will NEVER by any other hummus than this stuff...it's DELISH!). The pizza is fantastic, hand tossed, and made to order for a ridiculously good price! When you walk in here you are welcomed like family, and treated the same.
