Every time I walk into this store I have a new delicious homemade authentic Korean dish to explore. These are dishes I don't typically find at most of the popping Korean restaurants, hMarts or bbq joints anywhere from north or south Cal! They have a few humble stands that shelf Korean snacks but the real treat is what they have ready to eat cooked food in the fridge section and the marinated meat section and not to mention their Kimchi is absolutely delicious! So I decided to try this market. I think they opened about a year ago. It's in a small strip mall across the Arcadia county park. As soon as I got in, I was greeted by a very friendly lady behind the counter. I told her it was my first visit there and she talked briefly about what they carried. I said I wanted steaks I can cook easily on the stovetop and perhaps finish in the oven. I'm used to getting ribeyes or sirloin but she showed me the Picanha. She was very informative about the different cuts of meat and told me the Picanha actually can be more tender than the sirloin. So I purchased 2 packs (4 pieces total) for $29. Priced reasonably since Vons across the street is about the same with less quality cuts! Omg I just finished cooking them and yup! They are so good! Will definitely go back here! Everything is always top quality and the customer service is by far some of the best I have had at a butcher. Their recommendation are always on point and they even will provide you ice packs on request for your freezer bag if you are going to be doing some shopping or have a decent drive back home. I love that they are well knowledgeable about all the products and take the time if you ask to explain the differences in the meats and how they should be cooked for the best experience. If you are ever by the grove or farmers market ask for Brandon (likes to go by B) or Byron they are always willing to help and make sure you are more than satisfied with your purchase. The great thing about them is that they are father (Byron) and son (Brandon) which means they are passing down the skill set and knowledge regarding butchery and meats.
