I usually go for tortas (carnitas, steak, or al pastor which is seasoned chopped pork) . With everything including pineapple, jalapeños, and extra green sauce. I'm told that the red sauce can be a little hot. I like it, but prefer the flavor of the green sauce. In the summer I love Aguas frescas. Pineapple is my favorite and they make a delicious example here. I got hooked on tortas honestly. Back when the world was a kinder place, a bunch of GIs would go to Ciudad Juarez on weekends. Partly because we weren't old enough to drink on our side of the Rio Grande. Fresh out of the combat zone, I would drink enough to believe that I could dance. There were three fun girls. Kayra, Kenya, and Keira. Blondes. They had their own money, but indulged me to buy the occasional drink or late night meal. They would navigate the back streets to the best places that I'd never be able to find on my own. Always tortas. I think they were trying to sober me up. Turns out that would take another 20+ years.
