    Burger, Fries and Chili dog
    Brendan G.

The fast food line was out onto the street and the line was probably the fastest drive thru line I've even been in. Ordering was easy and good my food hot and hot. The burger and fries were some of the best I've ever had for fast food. Fries were very hot and crispy with a little seasoning. The hot dog was good but nothing special. I would go back for the burger and fries!

Great burgers and fries! Fast friendly service! Cool ambiance! I first ate here back in 1991 when i started med school! It is still here and busy and yummy!!! So happy they were still here. Now they have more restaurants all around the surrounding area too! Across the street from ETSU! Near the VA

Cheddar rounds with a gravy biscuit.

Located along State of Franklin across from ETSU, this location can get extremely busy. For those not familiar, Pal's is drive through only. If you turn in at the light, you need to go past Pal's and through the round about to get into their drive through. I've seen the line backed up so you can't even get into the round about. The major advantage of Pal's is efficiency. While that long of a line at other fast food places would take 30 minutes to get through, you'll only spend 10-15 waiting here. The food is standard fast food with a few regional twists. Some items have a cult-like following. Cheddar rounds, for example, one of my favorite items. Be aware they are only available in the morning for breakfast. About the only real disappointment is their gravy. It's much thinner than I prefer. There is a good amount of sausage pieces, and the flavor is nice. Just make sure you keep the container level or it will run out. Pals is certainly worth a try, especially if you are in a hurry. Their food is consistently good and fresh, and the regional specials add variety to the menu.

Stop here on the way to Johnson City. First time here, pleasantly surprised easy menu service was quick. The burgers are big for the price. And the toast cheese sandwiches big for the price. Overall, good a meal worth the stop. Order from one window and then pay for it on the other side

    Double Big Pal with Cheese

C'mon, who wouldn't want to get a burger from here? We are now in Johnson City, TN where I used to live for about 5 years back in the early aughts. And this place was my favorite place to get a burger. A great Tri-Cities regional chain offering fresh made burgers and quick service that makes Chick-fil-A's drive through seem glacial in comparison. Since Pal's is drive through only, we got our food and headed back to the hotel. I got my usual order: a Double Big Pal with cheese, Frenchie Fries, and a Peachy Tea. The Double Big Pal is two 1/3 lb burgers, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. My better half got her usual: the Big Chicken, shaved white meat chicken with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. They may not win any beauty contests, but trust me, they are tasty.

What a cool concept! I love this little place and with they were here in Middle Tennessee instead of just East Tennessee! Man those hot dogs are addicting for sure!!! Been to about 10-15 locations while working in East TN and the quality is always the same!

10/10 bust down food. Swear the lord died on the cross just for the patty melt. The employees are very kind and the food is consistent.

I loved the pulled pork, but I tried the pulled chicken my son had and was blown away. It wasn't actually pulled, it was sliced, but so tasty and absolutely melt in your mouth. I'm picky about barbecue sauces but their Alabama white sauce that they had was delicious. We all had very similar dishes in different combinations and every single one of us was pleased as punch with everything. If living here or just passing through, I highly recommend The Firehouse as the place for great barbecue.

It was overall a fun little laid back sports bar! Def would be fun for playoff games, tons of tvs, even some at the tables! Arcade room! Our server Marcus was great. Our company commented on how nice the restaurant is and the 4 of us were seated at a large booth which gave us plenty of room. We were promptly greeted by Bree, who brought us waters and took our drink order. We ordered the spinach dip which everyone devoured. On to dinner...I have been here several times and asked Bree to help me decide between the Chef's pasta or the buttermilk chicken. She recommended the pasta if I was hoping to have leftovers. I had it with the Cajun cream sauce and blackened salmon. Absolutely delicious!!!! The other dishes were blackend salmon with Pomodoro sauce and the sea bass. Ordered a side of brussel sprouts and garlic parm fries for the table to share. Bree was outstanding and our meals were all delicious.
