Dr. Perrine suggested that I have the impacted earwax removed from both ears. Paige, a medical specialist in earwax removal, did a superb job to accomplish this complicated and time-consuming task. Dr. Perrine also prescribed an antibiotic for me that he called in to my pharmacy on record. The prescription was ready for pick up when I arrived. The wait time was less than five minutes because I was there when they opened at 8 AM on a Tuesday. I was unable to get an appointment with my family doctor that week. Pansinusitis should not be left untreated for too long, so I did the right thing by going to Patient First for superior medical care from a friendly, caring and knowledgeable staff. After getting through rehab from the injuries, I was able to get an appointment at Cardiovascular Experts. After a thorough exam including echocardiogram and heart catheterization we attributed the loss of consciousness that resulted in the bicycle crash to that valve having failed sufficiently and was now "bad enough" for corrective surgery. I have severe osteoarthritis and take Diclofenac for pain. The Dr said to go off the Diclofenac 7 days prior to the surgery because of the risk of bleeding. I complied. After the 5th day I was suffering. After the 6th day I could not walk. I took an Oxycodone left over from a shoulder surgery. And was able to call his office. I explained the severity of the pain I was in and asked for a scrip for 2 or 3 days worth of Oxy. He refused!! He told me to resume taking the Diclofenac?? He was willing to risk severe bleeding on the operating table rather than give a perfectly safe scrip for Oxy!! Even if I had agreed it takes 4 or 5 days to get back in my system. We had to cancel a surgery that I badly needed l. What kind of Quack would be so heartless?? Update: I received an AI Generated response to this post. He then said, I don't know if I should take the new antibiotic yet because I already took one of the prior antibiotics this morning, I said, didn't the doctor advise you on this? He said, no. So I called up the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist and she said it was ok to start the new prescription right away and to throw the old one away. I said, the doctor told him to hold onto it for an infection that might occur down the road and she was taken back that a doctor would suggest that. She said, not ever antibiotic works for every infection. She said for example an antibiotic used for a sinus infection is not the same antibiotic that you would use for a bladder infection. She then stressed that the prior antibiotic should be thrown away right away.
