One of the nice amenities was storage for ski's at the bottom of the mountain's. Last year it was free. This year it is $15.00 per night? I'm taking my kids and grandkids for 5 days. 10 people X 4 nights X $15.00 per day equals $600.00 for ski storage. That's ridiculous. They advertise the great shuttle to go back forth from the ski mountains. They used to drop you off at your home at the end of the day. Now they only drop you off at the clubhouse and then you have to drive to your home. So what is the use of the shuttle. Services getting worse and costs going up. This sucks.

Not only is Red Ledges neighborhood nice, but the golf course, driving range, instruction, pools, and health center are super nice as well. On the 3rd of July they did a wonderful firework display on the driving range for the whole neighborhood to come out and watch. The Golf Course was designed by Jack Nicholas and was beautiful. The course is 18 hours and spreads across the neighborhood and is challenging and fun at the same time. The driving range and instructors are awesome. We took my nephews to get lessons and Coach JR was awesome with the kids and did a wonderful job. We also went to the pool on several occasions and the pool and staff were super friendly as well. I would for sure recommend Red Ledges for a place to Live, golf, or use any of their amenities!

I was particularly impressed with the turf quality and the bunkers--the sand is pristine, clean, and has that rare, powder-like consistency. I was told in the pro shop that the name was changed for marketing purposes. But now to the important stuff. I guess I should start with getting the tee time. I found it hard to get a hold of the clubhouse. The online teetime website wasn't working so I had to call the clubhouse multiple times before someone picked up and I could make my teetime. Then I had to change the reservation from 4 to 3 players and again I had to call multiple times to get a hold of someone. I normally don't call to change the amount of players but they took my credit card number at the time I made the initial reservation and said if we had changed but didn't let them know we would be charged for them. Now to the course. The course was in great shape and is very pretty. We teed off at 4 and had no one pressing us from behind and we were not pressuring anyone. So that was great. The greens rolled well and there were hardly any dead spots on the course. This is where my four star rating comes from. The biggest annoyance of the day was from their Mounted GPS units in the carts. We had a threesome and the second carts GPS didn't work. It just kept turning off. Ours worked great and gave great distances to the pin and how far to carry over sand traps etc. but they were super annoying. Every hole advertisements would pop up and would not go away. They would just stay there until you pressed a button to make them go away. It was aggravating to see the face of an insurance agent in the are every few minutes. Overall since I am rating a golf course I give it four stars because it is very scenic and fun, but everything else I would give a 2.5 rating.

This golf course is a blast. Lots of elevation changes. You tee off to fairways 150-200 feet below…read moreyou and on some have second shots straight uphill. About every type of shot is covered--long and short par threes and fours, forced carries on a few, greens are lightning fast and it's amazing how the fairways are kept so lush and green, seeing how it's in the desert. At almost 7000 feet, your ball carries and rolls forever. Can be windy in the afternoon, so morning tee times are best. Purple Sage is a destination course with hotels nearby or just stop and play it if you have some extra time traveling on I-80. Green fees are ridiculously cheap...wish this course wasn't 800 miles from me. :)
