How have we not been to The Vintage Moose? We've been to Idaho Springs so many times and not…read morenoticed the cool dive bar nestled into the larger parking lot. Our mistake but now we know! And, bonus you do too. First, The Vintage Moose makes the most of their small space - they even have a back room with a few games, open windows and beyond that, a small patio. Super chill. We laughed reading all the cool signs and stickers from all around. Lots to enjoy as you partake in an adult bevvie. Just one guy running the bar and he was amazing. If you're looking for a place where the locals hang out and everyone knows everyone, this is it. We had a great time, even though we were new. We def will be back. And, if it's summer time when you go, ask for their watermelon sangria. So good.

It has that classic local bar feel - relaxed, welcoming, and full of personality. Most of the crowd seemed to be locals, aside from us and a couple of other tables grabbing a later dinner. That's usually a good sign. The drink selection had plenty of options, and the atmosphere made it easy to settle in and stay awhile. We kept it simple with a few neat pours of whiskey and enjoyed soaking in the vibe. We didn't try the food this visit, but after seeing what was coming out of the kitchen, we'll definitely be back to do that next time. If you're looking for a laid-back local spot in Idaho Springs, The Vintage Moose is worth a stop.

This was absolutely the best service we got in BH by far. There were two servers the evening we…read moredined in. Both females with blond highlights. The younger with glasses was our server. I can't recall their names but they were both very welcoming and friendly to the guests they attended. Our server was extremely helpful in helping us select our order as it was difficult to make a decision. She had a wonderful smile and funny banter and was genuinely happy to serve us. I thought she was the owner of the restaurant, but as we were remarking about the beauty and history of the building she remarked that she had only been working there for a few weeks! She was truly a breath of fresh air where customer service and friendliness is truly hit or miss. Some folks were very happy to see us, others could have preferred we stayed home. The BBQ was also amazing, we shared a platter with brisket and pulled pork, coleslaw and Mac and cheese. Everything was really delicious, the coleslaw wasn't overwhelmed by too much mayo. It was crisp and deliciously crunchy and the mac and cheese was homemade using mezze penne, gooey and flavorful. It was a delicious meal and a wonderful experience.

The employee taking orders was patient while I looked over the menu and gave a couple suggestions without overdoing it. The pulled pork was tender and had enough flavor on its own without needing extra sauce. I wasn't expecting much from the salad, but the chicken was fresh and the portion was bigger than I thought it would be. My order came out in a reasonable amount of time even though there were several people waiting ahead of me. Overall it felt like a dependable local BBQ spot that focuses more on solid food than hype.

I do believe we were celebrating our anniversary . We had alot going on as we were in the middle of closing on our house and unfortunately missed our closing date so we treated ourselves to a weekend up on "The Hill". We've done all the buffets and were looking for something different. We've walked by this place numerous times, I looked up the reviews and for the most part seemed worth giving it a shot. But in my opinion what we paid for the meal and the tenderness of my steak we would have faired better at a Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn. Steak was slightly overcooked and sides were nothing to brag about. You'd be better off dropping the $80 for the buffet across the street at " The Monarch " And actually now that I think about out it I made the reservation online and did mention it was our anniversary but they didn't have our reservation not that we needed one but it was recommended on a Saturday night. But thats my opinion, so take your chances maybe you'll have a better experience. I do believe dinner for two ran , $280 . For me , pass, side bar... The baked potato was the best part of the meal!

I expected the asparagus to be a bit more bigger in size it was like eating wheat grass. Sadly this place needs a chef that cares to cook top quality food especially for a steak house.
