The ribeye was so so and filet mignon was given to my dog. I'm not impressed with the sides. I had ordered the asparagus it was the saddest looking sides ever as well as the Brussels sprouts it was nothing but charcoal. I expected the asparagus to be a bit more bigger in size it was like eating wheat grass. Sadly this place needs a chef that cares to cook top quality food especially for a steak house.

Putting silver into the water glass. Handles first.

So slow service. To get 2 Cocktails took 30 minutes to get. 1hr 30 minutes to get a salad. I am so grossed out about the setting of the table, we had to stop drinking our water after we saw the silverware with handles down into the glass. For a upscale restaurant this place is terrible

Had a wonderful dinner experience with a few friends at Roxy's! The ambiance and service were impeccable! The food was absolutely amazing! I had the Shrimp Louie salad, Roasted Cabbage, mashed potatoes, carrots, and the 14oz New York Steak cooked to perfection! Highly recommend Roxy's for a fine dining experience!

This was a very nice, somewhat overpriced, upscale restaurant. Our server, Mark, was attentive and efficient. On the menu it said the sirloin and shrimp scampi came with carrots, asparagus and rice - which we subbed for the garlic mashed potatoes. What we got was One little carrot and one very tough asparagus spear. The potatoes were very good - as was the perfectly seared steak. The shrimp were a nice size but there were only three. This one plate of food was $68 so I would have expected more vegetables. I'm glad I got to try this restaurant but I don't know that I'd come back very soon.

A well done steak that was supposed to be medium rare.

First off, let me say our server was top notch. Very warm and welcoming. We ordered the stuffed ravioli for an appetizer and it was pretty hard around the edges. I ordered a filet (medium rare) and it came out well done. I wasn't going to say anything because I was pretty tired of dealing with disappointing service at the front desk of the hotel during check in. Our server noticed the steak wasn't prepared properly and offered to have management come over to discuss but I have never really had a good (or any) resolution from dealing with any member of management at this casino in my 3 stays here, so I just took his offer on a free desert.

Our server, Malik, was so professional, courteous, engaging, gave us great suggestions and our meal experience was even better with him as our server! We ordered the Happy Hour cocktails of lemon drop martinis and a regular martini. Ordered a half-dozen of the Pearl oysters and they were so yummy, we ordered another half-dozen. Well-presented and delicious! We then ordered the Nantucket Risotto (only been on the menu for 2 weeks), the Blue Island Diver's Platter (ask for the octopus), a Happy Hour Crispy Slider and Fish Taco. We combined this with a glass of white wine and red wine. The meal was absolutely fabulous and we then finished this spectacular meal with sharing a key lime pie. Once again, Malik made this meal even better with his genuine smile, attentiveness and efficiency. Make sure you sign up for their Loyalty Rewards program and they offer a great inexpensive weekday 3-course Power Lunch.

I will say for the oyster deal it has been good, but sometimes the oysters aren't cleaned well. Again a hit and miss. The ambiance is nice and soothing, very ocean blue. We have also tried some sides and other entrees. The shrimp entree was good but lacked some salt. The burger was amazing with the bacon jam and always have the best shoestring fries. I also got an order of the crispy rice that has a salmon and a tuna. The salmon was way too sweet and had a fishy aftertaste that I disliked. The truffle tuna was definitely the better one of the two. However, the rice itself was absolutely mushy and not necessarily crispy. It also didn't have the best flavor. Desserts tried were the olive oil orange cake and the brownie. both are OK and nice and sweet, but not something I would spend money on Overall, truly think this place is a hit and miss. Just depends on the night.

After my 1st day snowboarding, due to our lack of snow this winter, Vail had the best forecast, and…read moreI happily rode 7 runs in 2-hours, and was then starving, after also skipping lunch. Since I'd parked at Lions Head, before I returned to Denver, I considered the Vail Chophouse, as their menu looked delicious, however when I went inside, the live music was so loud - even with my noise-canceling headphones still in- that I still couldn't hear, and knew I'd blow out my ear drums. Enter: Montauk Seafood Grill, the perfect antidote, with an equally appealing menu, and a much more serene ambiance. :-) Given I was famished, I asked my wonderful server, Brenn, for recommendations, and she was - hands down - one of the best servers I've had, in a long time. She was friendly, attentive, honest, and an all around delight. I started by asking her suggestion, as to if I should order the "Blood Moon" or "Happy Coconut" mocktail, and she recommended the Blood Moon, which was delicious! I love Blood Orange, and it had the perfect combination of mint, to be both sweet & sour. I needed a mocktail, given I was driving back to Denver, after dinner. She then brought me delicious Rosemary Sourdough and Citrus Butter, as a starter, which was fantastic, especially given I needed all the carbs, from skipping lunch, riding so much, and from fasting the night before, for a prior medical appointment, that morning, in Denver, hence my late start, snowboarding. Then I ordered - and loved - the Point Reyes Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon, medium rare, with the most delicious asparagus I've ever had, and I was grateful that they could make my truffle potatoes, whipped, instead of hash brown style. I ended my delicious dinner with a cappuccino, for the drive home. Perfection!

This place would be 5 stars if not for the food poisoning. We had been to Chop House once before…read moreand had a wonderful experience. I had given it 5 stars then, which I included in an overall review of the Monarch where it is located. However, with this last visit, that was not the case at all. This is an upscale, dimly lit steakhouse, and we had an amazing time trying it for our anniversary a while back. When we went to celebrate my birthday this year, it was a different story. Though service was attentive, prompt and friendly (which of course was reflected in our tip) I cannot give extra stars, as the food physically made my husband ill. He decided to have the lobster bisque, and unfortunately it immediately did not sit well with him. I tried it as well, and it tasted rancid. Being polite, he just pushed it to the side and did not say anything. Then the staff came over a few times asking about the bisque, then proceeded to comp it, which made us even more concerned. I'm a professional chef, and we do not serve anything that tastes or smells even remotely questionable, especially when it comes to seafood. He was ill for hours afterward (and into the next day). After tasting it myself, I could not stomach much more of our very expensive meal. My steak and French onion soup were fantastic in flavor, but I was not able to enjoy much of it, as I also had a nasty taste from the bisque and felt nauseous just from the smell alone. They did bring me a free birthday dessert, which I appreciate. However, I did not get to choose what I was eating. They brought out pumpkin cheesecake. To give credit- I'm sure it was chosen because it's a popular dish, but I personally do not like pumpkin at all. In fact, it makes me gag, frankly. I do however, love cheesecake and tried a bite to be polite, but I did not like it, let alone want it. I decided not to say anything about the dessert they chose for me, since I did not pay for it, and we were trying to get out of there due to not feeling great after the food served. I was disappointed even more at this point, as it would've been nice to at least be able to choose and enjoy my "celebration dessert", especially considering how much money we spent- even less the bisque. Not to mention how awful the experience was due to food poisoning. We will not be back, which is unfortunate considering how great our first experience was. This experience was awful enough to deter us from further visits....
