Had lunch at Jinya Ramen Bar at the Ameristar Casino in Black hawk yesterday. We (my wife and I) shared their Miso Glased Eggplant (Small Plate), and a small Pork Chashu Bowl and we each also had a Jinya Bun as well. The food is so tasty! I was pleasantly surprised with the ramen at Jinya inside Ameristar. We came in on a Thursday late night around 9PM and Kumar took good care of us. The ramen was nicely done and the creamy ramen special I ordered was very tasty. The restaurant was busy with lots of to-go orders. We had the Tonkotsu Black ramen and the special creamy ramen. Both were delicious but I'd go back for the creamy ramen special if they have it next time. The drinks were nice and cold but my rose glass was less than ideal in terms of cleanliness as it had another lip mark and finger print on it... I would go with the draft beer next time as their glasses looked cold and clean. The restaurant overall could be cleaner but it does appear that they had a rush with lots of uncleaned table. Based on food and service alone, I would give this place a 5 star. read more

Came for the casino stayed for the food and drinks. I don't remember the name of this ramen but there was a little kick to it. Would definitely get this again but so many other good items on the menu as well. Introduced ramen to a complete newb and he loved it. This might be the spot for upcoming trips. The drinks were a show in and of itself. Staff here was super friendly. Not sure how fast or slow the service because I was with a large group and we were just having a ball. Truly enjoyed our first meal at Ameristar at Jinya. The food was delicious (especially the tan tan men which had a great flavor depth profile). The service was great, staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and very friendly. The ambiance is ok. It's immediately to the side of the casino floor and is an open space concept with gaming tables inside the space, so it can get loud if the casino is busy. However, the lighting is soft and the space feels open and inviting otherwise. One of the casinos stronger meal options. read more

Not the first time we come here and honestly one of the few good places in Black Hawk for some yummy food. They can get busy so make sure you allow for some wait time but it is worth it. Service has always been great despite the wait time. This place is open so you can still do lots of people watch with your dinner. The ramen is good, but their other dishes also satisfy. One recommendation are the pork buns so so good. The most recent ramen I tried was the wonton one and added some of the seasoning sauce which elevated the flavors of the broth. 10/10 and we sure will return although it turn out being a very expensive ramen experience . The Tonkotsu Premium was absolutely amazing, rich, flavorful, and so satisfying. I ordered spice level 5 out of 10 and it was the perfect heat without needing any extra chili oil, the balance was spot on. The lychee drink was sweet and refreshing and paired so well with the ramen. I loved that they offer garlic on the side and being able to mince and add fresh garlic to my bowl was such a fun and tasty touch. The portions are super generous and I was completely full by the end. The house salad was bigger than I expected, but it had a bit of a bitter taste, maybe from the dressing. The pork bun was super juicy and tender. It was great for appetizer. The staff were all so friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. We came in for a late lunch and it wasn't very busy when we sat down but it got busy afterwards. We both ordered ramen and it didn't take too long to come out. I got the vegan red fire opal and my husband got the spicy chicken. We both really liked our ramen and my husband said it was some of the best ramen he has ever had. The service was slow getting our drinks refilled and my husband would have liked to order more noodles because he said the portion was a bit small. Came for a late lunch. It's in the first floor of the Ameristar casino. They were not busy but had to seat myself at the bar. The hostess was very nice when she arrived but she was also the server and bartender. I got the Jinya Tonkatsu Black and it was bland, I had to add salt. JINYA Ramen in @ameristarbh was delicious! I ordered the JINYA Bun and the Tokyo Curry Rice. The pork belly on the bun melted in your mouth which is always a 50/50 chance when I've eaten pork buns before. The Tokyo Curry was delicious too, but didn't have a lot of chicken. Disappointed with this location. While the host was friendly, the overall experience was underwhelming. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Ramen to-go, and it missed the mark completely--no spice, barely any flavor, and the broth was lukewarm. I also bit into a piece of cold chicken. I walked less than three minutes back to my room, so the temperature issue wasn't due to delay. What added to the frustration was a pricing discrepancy. When I tried ordering through their website, the total without tip came to $23.14, but I was charged $23.85 in person. It's not a huge difference, and I wouldn't have minded if the ramen had been good--but it wasn't. Strangely, they don't provide itemized receipts for to-go orders, only for dine-in. While the food is good the service is what is really lacking. Every time I go here there seems to be 5-6 waiters/employees serving maybe 10 tables and they always seem so overwhelmed. Additionally, they move so slow with no sense of urgency. I used the kiosk to place my order and stood at the host stand for nearly 10 minutes before someone casually walks over and asks if I've been helped. By that point the line was 5 people deep waiting to be helped. On more than one occasion my food has been mistakenly given away to another customer causing it to have to be remade taking even longer. Located on the lower level of the Ameristar Casino, Jinya is a welcome surprise to the available options at Central City. Upon walking up to the hostess counter, we were immediately seated. Jinya has a lot of great ramen options, starters, and drinks. The restaurant is open concept so you can still see the hustle and bustle of the casino right outside the restaurant. I will say that the service was a little slow, however, we did visit on a holiday weekend. I was only able to get a pic of the ramen that I ordered because my phone was dying. However, we will most likely visit again. The Ramen: the broth was deeply flavored with rich fatty flavors and could have been a touch more spicy but that's just my opinion. Jinya Preston Hollow serves tasty food but lacks in service because no one person waits on any table, and one or two of the servers ruin that model. The wait staff was very nice and offered good recommendations. The menu offers a lot of great options for vegans and vegetarians. The ramen has both thin noodles and thick noodles, I always recommend the thick noodles. They did bring out ramen to our table and none of it was what we ordered. This place was so good we went back a second time in the same week! The food was amazing but what was even better was the service. We had Kumar as our server both times. He was very kind, gave great recommendations, and was very attentive. The ambience was a little loud from the casino music, but nothing crazy. Highly recommended the Spicy Creamy Shrimp Tempura as a starter. Took the picture after we ate 2, so you get plenty. Could even be a small meal if you're not too hungry. Got their ramen chefs special that also came with some Korean fried chicken. The service was fast and I was able to use a voucher that I got for playing poker on my meal. Ok, a lot to unpack here.. service was quite slow. From the start, the servers seemed overwhelmed and a little chaotic. We ordered drinks- they didn't have all the ingredients, and the wine that my friend got served had turned so she ended up ordering a beer. We got appetizers, impossible gyoza, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower. Everything was awesome. Good flavor. For ramen I ordered the Jinya Tonkotsu Black which was so creamy and fatty. The ramen egg was perfectly cooked and the charsiu was smoky and meaty. The ramen noodles were a perfect al dente texture and picked up just enough of the thick broth. Overall, great food- not so great drinks. Give them a few months to work out the kinks (I think they recently opened) and I think we will have a five star experience on our hands. read more

Dropped a star cuz eating at the bar is like being part of the staff. Everyone is bitching about getting too many tables or not enough tables. Or talking shit about whomever just went home for the night. The manger had like a schedule meeting at the corner and seems to kinda hold court there.
