Tan Tan Men Ramen - amazing depth of flavor
    Susi H.

Truly enjoyed our first meal at Ameristar at Jinya. The food was delicious (especially the tan tan men which had a great flavor depth profile). The service was great, staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and very friendly. The ambiance is ok. It's immediately to the side of the casino floor and is an open space concept with gaming tables inside the space, so it can get loud if the casino is busy. However, the lighting is soft and the space feels open and inviting otherwise. One of the casinos stronger meal options.

Spicy Tankatsu Ramen was so delicious.

The food was delicious, Some of the best ramen I have had. The service was also great!

Not the first time we come here and honestly one of the few good places in Black Hawk for some yummy food. They can get busy so make sure you allow for some wait time but it is worth it. Service has always been great despite the wait time. This place is open so you can still do lots of people watch with your dinner. The ramen is good, but their other dishes also satisfy. One recommendation are the pork buns so so good. The most recent ramen I tried was the wonton one and added some of the seasoning sauce which elevated the flavors of the broth. 10/10 and we sure will return although it turn out being a very expensive ramen experience . Stop by and get a nice warm bowl of ramen when the weather is cold up in the mountains

The Tonkotsu Premium was absolutely amazing, rich, flavorful, and so satisfying. I ordered spice level 5 out of 10 and it was the perfect heat without needing any extra chili oil, the balance was spot on. The lychee drink was sweet and refreshing and paired so well with the ramen. I loved that they offer garlic on the side and being able to mince and add fresh garlic to my bowl was such a fun and tasty touch. The portions are super generous and I was completely full by the end. The house salad was bigger than I expected, but it had a bit of a bitter taste, maybe from the dressing. The pork bun was super juicy and tender. It was great for appetizer. The staff were all so friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Overall an amazing and perfect ramen spot and I will definitely be back.

We came in for a late lunch and it wasn't very busy when we sat down but it got busy afterwards. We both ordered ramen and it didn't take too long to come out. I got the vegan red fire opal and my husband got the spicy chicken. We both really liked our ramen and my husband said it was some of the best ramen he has ever had. The service was slow getting our drinks refilled and my husband would have liked to order more noodles because he said the portion was a bit small. We would definitely come back here since not many restaurants in Blackhawk had vegan options and this place had several and serves impossible meat.

    That says it all!

Awesome experience! Anthony was professional with a great vibe. Delicious cucumber salad, crispy chicken, and delightful matcha ice cream. Lovely ambiance!

First time having ramen that wasn't from a package. It was pretty good, waitress was friendly and explained things to us. The restaurant is in the Ameristar casino.

Amazing spot for the casinos! You won't be disappointed when eating here, was happy to learn there is one in BlackHawk at Ameristar, immediately went and ordered the crispy chicken as an appetizer and the spicy chicken ramen medium heat, delicious! Aman the bartender took care of us and was very attentive.

JINYA is a MUST. The Birria Ramen and JINYA Chicken Ramen were delicious. The Matcha Tirumasu was the cherry on top.The staff from front to back are very welcoming and friendly. Jamiah was my server and I am definitely going to ask for her again. She was super attentive, knowledgeable on the menu and any questions I had especially when it came to substitutions, and just the sweetest! I can't wait to come back again for another one of a kind experience. Thank you!

Came for a late lunch. It's in the first floor of the Ameristar casino. They were not busy but had to seat myself at the bar. The hostess was very nice when she arrived but she was also the server and bartender. I got the Jinya Tonkatsu Black and it was bland, I had to add salt. The broth was ok, the pork was not that defining. I've had ramen at other places and the taste was on point. I'm glad I tried it. It's a cute place and has a lot of options in the menu. If your around try.

    Tokyo Curry Rice

JINYA Ramen in @ameristarbh was delicious! I ordered the JINYA Bun and the Tokyo Curry Rice. The pork belly on the bun melted in your mouth which is always a 50/50 chance when I've eaten pork buns before. The Tokyo Curry was delicious too, but didn't have a lot of chicken. The servers and manager were so nice! They were attentive and were always checking on our water levels which I absolutely love! The prices seemed pretty fair in my opinion too!

Disappointed with this location. While the host was friendly, the overall experience was underwhelming. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Ramen to-go, and it missed the mark completely--no spice, barely any flavor, and the broth was lukewarm. I also bit into a piece of cold chicken. I walked less than three minutes back to my room, so the temperature issue wasn't due to delay. What added to the frustration was a pricing discrepancy. When I tried ordering through their website, the total without tip came to $23.14, but I was charged $23.85 in person. It's not a huge difference, and I wouldn't have minded if the ramen had been good--but it wasn't. Strangely, they don't provide itemized receipts for to-go orders, only for dine-in. Maybe that's why--they can't clearly explain the pricing. Either way, it felt sloppy and disappointing for a place with such a strong reputation.

The service could have been better, and the food was just okay overall. The restaurant is small and gets quite noisy, which made the atmosphere a bit hard to enjoy. That said, all the dishes looked delicious, and our favorite was the spicy shrimp tempura--it really stood out.

You order at the counter and move along a cafeteria-style line filling your bowl with additions. We requested the Korean Chicken Wings which were described online as a "brown sugared sweet and savory sauce" but were stopped by the server who asked if we'd tried it before and if we liked spice. I like spice, but my husband isn't as big of a fan. The server told us "They're spicy. They're too spicy!" so we went for the Lil Dragon Wings at his recommendation. I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen with grilled Wagyu beef which was grilled directly in front of me, and topped it with a ramen egg, corn and lime. The tables have little induction heaters on them which you can place your bowl on to reheat if they get too cold! I utilized this cool tool twice to reheat the broth after it had gotten below my preferred temperature. The wings were crispy and well seasoned, and we didn't feel deprived of any spice (so thank you to our server for your recommendation!). The Tonkotsu broth was super rich, flavorful and warming, the ramen noodles were perfect al dente, and the Wagyu steak was mind blowingly tender and delicious! I didn't get pictures this time, but would highly recommend both the wings and the ramen, and might risk the Korean wings next time, just to say I tried them!

Their original kitchen, Zoe Ma Ma is now a half block further west on Pearl. They cover much in the way of Asian specialties for West Pearl. At Dragonfly, they make their own noodles and they are very good. I had some last night in my pho and am looking forward to getting the Yuki Udon next time. My husband wanted a selection of Bao so chose the roasted duck, the pork belly and the Dragonfly. He really liked them all. I love duck Bao so I had one too. Because it was chilly out I got the smoked brisket Pho too and had to bring some home since it was a lot to eat on top of the Bao. I lived the fresh basil leaves and the crunchy crisp bean sprouts. I opted out of the spicy peppers an onion as I find them harsh everywhere. I totally forgot to add a few other options as I live bok choy too. You can get a full menu of options online to order at your table by phone but we prefer and they offer a full sized menu at the counter. Note, that a nominal tip is included which is thoughtful and fair to customers and workers alike. They share duties but noted the owner who makes the noodles in the adjacent space was leaving as we were eating. You can see some of the equipment through the glass partition. They were out of oolong tea and I was hoping for some on a chilly day so I hope it is there next time as a long winter ahead of us. My husband had the iced Thai tea with his Bao. That tea is too sweet for me with condensed milk in it. We will definitely be back later. If I have pho again or my husband has it with rare steak as he plans , I hope the broth will be hotter to cook it some. If we could rate with half stars I'd go 4.5 though it was not quite perfect enough for a 5. But we will be back and pretty soon.
