I had a great time at the Overpour. Brian and Remi were very attentive and the place wasn't crowded. So, it was a great place to chill and hangout. There is room to sit at the bar, a high tops away from the bar, and outdoor seating - for the short fall and winter in El Paso. Also, though we didn't use it, there's a walk-in cigar smoke room and humidor. From the windows surrounding the smoke room, there were loungers and tables in there. It's a chill place that's clean with social and capable mixologists. I would return. read more

This was unfortunately not my favorite El Paso experience. Because of the name and the presentation of the establishment, I expected a solid wine selection. But they were out of everything I tried to order. I had a taste of one wine, and it tasted to me like it had been open for awhile so I passed on it. They apologized because I apparently visited while they were awaiting restocking, but the wine selection was so limited I had cocktails and beer instead. Those were good. The menu was also on the small side, although my grilled cheese was tasty. Service was great, friendly, strong on water refills and check-ins, so four stars for everything else. Nice bright patio and dark cozy interior give two very different ambiances depending on what you prefer! This place has been a go-to since I discovered it. I travel for work and every single chance I get when I'm in town I stop by for a few drinks since it's never failed me. The service has always been great and has always made me feel welcome and happy to be here. The ambiance always fits the mood, though I tend to favor the calmer days, I find myself dropping in if I manage to catch an event like a live performance. I've never had a bad drink from Overpour and as someone that travels, I'm glad to always find myself back in El Paso. The Mistress and the Elder Fashion are my go-tos! Remi, our bartender was amazing! She took the time to talk to us about the various cocktails and listened to our preferences. Ambiance was cozy and warm and rich in color-if that makes sense. Really interesting place in the Cimarron area that I stopped in at one night with friends. Our waitress was verrrrry patient and friendly, so major kudos to her. Great atmosphere, wonderful drinks you wouldn't think of (I had a great espresso martini), and the waitress had great recommendations for drinks. Definitely worth a stop in. Tried out Overpour for birthday cocktails and I was delighted. The ambiance was spot on and the service was excellent. Angel was attentive and gave well informed recommendations. The chef came out to work with us on a food order due to some inventory shortages and the end product was delicious. It was such a treat to snuggle up on the patio, sipping refreshing cocktails and nibbling on charcuterie while enjoying the lovely weather and music. I will definitely be back. read more

Beware! After swiping my GECU debit card at this bar I had 3 Amazon digital charges. Someone in this establishment stole my card information. I am 100 sure it occurred at Overpour because I never used the card before. New card and it hasn't been used since. It was a young lady that took my card to run it at the bar. read more

My wife and I came by after dinner for a couple drinks on Friday night around 9. The ambiance is modeled after a speakeasy and the bar is one of a kind! They have cigars for purchase or byob and a awesome smoking area and outside fire pit to enjoy them. You pay 12 dollars per drink, but they are well made and you feel every one of them. My wife had the bourbon margarita and I had and old fashioned. My only suggestion would be to splurge for the Luxardo cherries in the old fashioned. read more

The hospitality was on point. Felt very welcome walking in and enjoyed the tour of the location. I ate a chicken sandwich which was surprisingly very tasty. Also had the Italian board. The fog horn cheese and fig spread was very good. I also had a bottle of Murphy Cabernet, the owners are very attentive and you will feel at home. Didn't try any cigars, I think that might be in the agenda here soon. read more

This bar has captured the up scale feel of many big city bars. I was greeted by the bartender Jason who gave me the run down tour. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the bar. You don't see that anywhere in El Paso. You enter the place with a nice warm fire place on the wall and a great lighting ambiance. The cigar room had an air purifier and scent machine smelling like cigars and leather pretty nice and outside patio with a gas fire pit looked great. There are so many great things about this place, that are completely outweighed by the staff. The ambiance is nice, comfy and welcoming, but when we were greeted at the door, the hostess asked us if we wanted a tour, which we did. It was a "verbal" tour, which consisted of "there are tables here, outside and a room to smoke a cigar." Next, I requested a glass of malbec and was served a glass which was tasted "off", but not terrible, so I did not complain. My husband ordered a couple of Macallan 15s. When I asked for a bottle of what I was drinking, I was brought a bottle of Merlot (which explained why it tasted different from what I was expecting.) When I asked the waitress about the mix-up, she informed me that it was a Malbec/Merlot, which it was NOT, it was the Murphy Goode Merlot. Next, we ordered the Italian charcuterie board, again the waitress told us she was going to explain what was on the board and proceeded to tell us the manchego was brie and vice versa. We pointed to the brie and said "this is the brie, right?" and she said, "no." Finally, the table seated next to us ordered cigars, asked for guidance and the waitress was unsure which end of the cigar to light. I understand the place is new, but the ambiance they are presenting is pretentious, and they keep offering to explain and "educate" their patrons on wine, whisky, cigars, and food; which is not possible when your staff is uneducated themselves. Both my husband and myself are fans of wine and whiskey, which means we might give this place another chance, but I will be sure to not request the verbal tour nor the charcuterie board "explanation." read more
